Kansas City man charged in connection to deadly road rage shooting

According to court documents, Kansas City police officers responded to the area of 75th Street and The Paseo around 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, for a shooting.
When officers arrived on scene they located a man in the driver's eat of a green GMC Sierra. The victim was slumped over and was unresponsive. Officers located an apparent gunshot wound on the victim, identified as 66-year-old Dennis Griffin. He was taken to Research Medical Center where he later died.
A witness told detective she was driving south on Swope Parkway when she saw the suspect vehicle speed around her. She said the suspect vehicle stood out to her due to the speed and aggressive way the suspect was driving through traffic.
Court documents say the witness 'observed the victim vehicle and suspect to be engaged in road rage.'
The witness said the road rage was so noticeable that she kept a safe distance away. She said as the two vehicle approached the intersection of 75th and Paseo, the victim intentionally cut off the suspect's vehicle.
According to court documents, the witness said the suspect then drove up to the passenger side of the victim's vehicle and fired 4-5 shots into the truck. The suspect continued traveling south on Paseo and the witness pulled over and called 911.

Francis was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 8, and is currently being held in the Jackson County jail on a $150,000 bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for 1 p.m. on April 16, for a bond review hearing.

RIVERVIEW, Fla. - Hillsborough County deputies arrested a man they say was using social media sites to get sexual content from multiple juveniles and then blackmail them. The backstory Detectives began investigating Sunghyun Kim, 29, on February 5, 2025, after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They said the anonymous tip came from one of the victims, who said the suspect sexually exploited and blackmailed them. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, over the course of three months, detectives learned that the suspect was engaging with multiple juveniles through social media sites, receiving sexual content from them, and then blackmailing them. Detectives also discovered 45 files depicting sexual activity with an animal. Kim has been charged with: Possession of child pornography (10 or more images and content of images) (x100) Possession of generated child pornography (x100) Film, distribute, or possess videos or images depicting sexual activity with an animal (x45) Promotion of sexual performance by a child (x14) Transmission of harmful material to a minor (x9) Use of computer service for lewd or lascivious exhibition (x6) What they're saying "To manipulate and extort underage victims for his sick gratification is beyond disgusting, it's evil," said Sheriff Chad Chronister.
