Colchester entrepreneur launches 'world's best football dice game'
Pete Gore, founder and designer of Feverpitch Football, has teamed up with Robin Cancer Trust to allow people to donate when they buy the game.
It is described as a "fast-paced dice game that brings the thrill of the world's most popular sport to the palm of your hand".
Mr Gore says this "isn't just another table top game".
Founder - Entrepreneur Pete Gore (Image: MatchFit Agency) The game is conveniently pocket-sized and designed to play anytime, anywhere for friends who can come together over the thrill of a footy game in an instant. Using just two dice, one for on-pitch play and one for goalmouth action, it is quick, easy to learn, and guarantees non-stop excitement for all ages.
Inside - What comes with the game (Image: MatchFit Agency) Tackle, pass, and shoot your way to victory at home with the family, out and about with your mates, or over the desk at work.
He said: 'Feverpitch is not just another tabletop game, it's a celebration of the global spirit of football, distilled into a fast-paced, easy-to-learn experience.
"With only two dice, Feverpitch offers a unique twist that sets it apart from other tabletop games, making it incredibly accessible and fun.'
The game is also promoting the importance of Colchester based charity, the Robin Cancer Trust (RCT).
The charity is the UK's only testicular, ovarian and germ cell cancer charity.
Via a mutual friend, Pete met Toby Freeman, the founder of RCT to strike up a partnership offering buyers of the game an opportunity to donate to the charity.
Delighted - Founder of the Robin Cancer Trust, Toby Freeman (Image: MatchFit Agency) Pete said: 'Toby talks a lot about balls, our game is about (foot)balls and so, it seemed like a good fit. We had a coffee and agreed to help each other out.'
Mr Freeman spoke of the importance of raising awareness in such a way and how great the partnership is
He said: "It's a family game but its predominantly aimed at guys and our message is all about balls.
"I love how accessible it is, not only is the game incredibly accessible but hopefully through this we can make cancer education and awareness really accessible.
"Especially in men it's about getting these important conversations going."

Five-goal Fenerbahce rally past Feyenoord, Rangers to meet Club Brugge
Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce rallied past Dutch club Feyenoord on Tuesday to advance 6-4 on aggregate into the Champions League qualifying playoffs. Fenerbahce had lost 2-1 in the Netherlands last week and were a goal down in the second leg of the third qualifying round in Istanbul after Feyenoord defender Tsuyoshi Watanabe struck the first of his two goals on the night after 41 minutes for Robin van Persie's side. But Mourinho's team fought back with goals from Archie Brown and Jhon Duran just before the break getting the hosts back on track with Fred, Youssef En-Nesyri and Talisca adding three more in a thrilling second half for a 5-2 win on the night. Fenerbahce will host Benfica, who beat Nice 4-0 on aggregate, in the first leg of the playoff round next week with a place in the 36-team league phase at stake. In Lisbon, Benfica defeated the French club 2-0 on the night thanks to goals from Norwegian duo Fredrik Aursnes (19) and Andreas Schjelderup (27). Elsewhere, Rangers advanced past Czech team Viktoria Plzen 4-2 over two legs and next play Club Brugge, who reached the last 16 of the Champions League last season. Rangers had won 3-0 at Ibrox last week but fell to a 2-1 defeat on Tuesday with Lyall Cameron opening his account for the club with a consolation strike. "We had some really good moments, but disappointed how many shots we gave them, how many chances we gave them," said Rangers manager Russell Martin. "So, again, another brilliant bit of learning and we're through to the last qualifying round for the Champions League, but I am annoyed. "That wasn't enough. There's too many scary moments." Club Brugge came back from a two-goal deficit on the night to beat RB Salzburg 3-2 at home and advance 4-2 on aggregate. bur/ea

Rasmus Hojlund remains adamant as AC Milan set deadline
Following a dismal campaign in which he netted only four times in the Premier League, Manchester United were forced to try and bring in a quality replacement for Rasmus Hojlund. INEOS splashed the cash to land Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, and Ruben Amorim opted to keep Hojlund on the bench against Fiorentina, a clear message regarding his future. The club have subsequently informed the 22-year-old to find a new club for himself even though he is hellbent on staying and fighting for his place. AC Milan are reportedly in pole position, having already agreed on a loan fee, but the Dane is yet to give his green light for the move. That has not impressed the Serie A giants. AC Milan unhappy with Rasmus Hojlund This dilly-dallying has allowed four other Serie A clubs as well as Newcastle to enter the race. Igli Tare, Milan's sporting director, has refused to admit defeat, and is in England hoping to wrap up the move. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport have now informed that the sporting director is losing his patience due to the Denmark international's stubborn stance. The ex-Atalanta ace feels, despite Sesko's arrival, he will still have chances to shine, and is desperate to prove his critics wrong after two underwhelming seasons in Manchester. As a result, the Rossoneri will wait for another week, and should the Denmark international not change his mind, they will move onto other targets. 'AC Milan is ready to close in on a loan deal with an option to buy, but the striker's agreement is still pending. 'Hojlund is a stubborn man. He's convinced he can have his chances in Manchester despite the competition. He wants to redeem himself after two so-so years with a trophy won—the 2024 FA Cup—and another lost in the final (last year's Conference League). Dane confident of making his mark 'Tare flew to England to try and secure the striker's approval, but he won't wait forever. A week at most, no more, then he'll focus on one of his other targets: Vlahovic, Jackson, and Gonçalo Ramos. 'Hojlund doesn't want to leave Manchester out of pure pride. He appreciates AC Milan's attention, loves Italy and Serie A, as well as his family. But he's convinced he can still make his mark. Furthermore, he'd prefer a permanent transfer rather than a loan with an option to buy.' INEOS are looking to conduct player sales, and with the money raised, they plan to go after Carlos Baleba and another goalkeeper. Hojlund's stance, while admirable, will not help the co-owners one bit. As things stand, this saga is likely to continue until late in the window.
