Although Sheel's and Diskha's characters are often at odds on the show, with Jaiveer constantly at loggerheads with Chaina, their off-screen friendship is nothing short of heartwarming. Throughout filming, the two actors have developed a
.
Sheel Verma says, "On-screen bonding is usually decided by the writers and the situation, but as co-actors, we both try to bring something extra to the scene. Even before the director says 'action' and after the 'cut', we often check in with each other, like, did the emotion come across well? Was the anger or sadness believable? Diksha is very helpful that way.
If something needs a quick touch-up or adjustment, she notices and gives genuine feedback.
That kind of understanding and care shows how our off-screen friendship reflects in our work too. When we are not shooting, we are usually planning our next prank on other co-stars or making a fun dance reels. Very recently we played a prank on Ishita who plays Chamkili, the main antagonist in our show. Diksha and I were not letting her deliver her dialogues on her cue, and when the director said cut, we acted like we thought she had forgotten her lines.
She got hysterical and started saying her dialogues non-stop. Even the crew was in on it and ended up making a reel out of it. involved in the same so they made a reel out of it. It was really funny. Everyone on set started laughing, and Diksha had to calm her down."
He further added, "I still remember the first time I met Diksha; it was during a narration meeting with the writer-producer. We just exchanged simple hello. But over time, as we began shooting more together, especially after our scenes started happening in the same location, our bonding grew stronger.

She's someone who stays calm and composed, and that's a quality I really admire. Personally, I'd like to learn that peaceful nature from her.
Professionally, I admire how naturally she performs emotional scenes. When she cries on screen, it feels real, and I'd love to bring that same depth into my own performances."
Their playful pranks, shared laughter, and genuine camaraderie off-screen only enhance the chemistry they bring to Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurian, making their on-screen rivalry all the more engaging. Sheel and Diksha's bond proves that great performances are built on trust, mutual respect, and a little bit of fun along the way. As they continue to entertain viewers with their unforgettable characters, it's clear that their friendship will remain the heart of the show—bringing warmth and authenticity to everything they do.

Sheel Verma: Playing two different roles in same show has been fun
Sheel Verma is playing a double role in Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain. He plays Jaiveer and Bablu. Jaiveer is royal and focused. Bablu is a thief with a good heart. TV actor Sheel Verma , who currently plays Jaiveer in the show Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain, talks about playing a double role in the show. Transitioning from the intense and brooding Jaiveer to the light-hearted and quirky Bablu. While the actor had been portraying Jaiveer since the show's inception, the latest track introduces Bablu — a street-smart thief with a heart of gold. He says, 'My role of Jaiveer is quite royal, he is a gentleman and very focused. But now Bablu is a complete contrast, he is funny, a follower of Lord Hanuman. Bablu, though a thief by profession (a trade he learned from his mother), is driven by kindness. He can't see anyone sad. He's a mumma's boy, good at heart and always ready with a witty one-liner.' The actor revealed that for now, Jaiveer's track has been put on hold, with Bablu stepping into the narrative. 'Even I don't know what the future holds. The show is full of suspense. For now, the family thinks Jaiveer is dead. Rest it depends on the audience and their reaction upon bablu,' he explained. When asked if playing two characters is a challenge, he said, 'Not at all. An actor is always up for new roles. Playing two different roles in the same show has been fun. Bablu brings a new energy, and I'm enjoying it — no stress like Jaiveer, who was dealing with heartbreak.' He has been part of projects like Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, Le Chalu Apan Duari, Shree Ramayan Katha and Meri Maa Karma.

Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurian Actress Ishita Ganguly calls Chamkili the darkest character of her career: Unsettling in the best possible way
Actress Ishita Ganguly , who has spent over 15 years in the entertainment industry, continues to surprise her audience with new shades of her talent. From television to films and OTT, Ishita has built a strong presence, often recognized for her mythological portrayals or the cheerful, girl-next-door characters that have endeared her to many. But this year, the actress took a bold new turn—playing what she calls the darkest character of her career so far. In the ongoing show Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurian , Ishita essays the role of Chamkili—a fierce, layered, and unapologetic woman who is unlike any of her previous characters. The role marks a powerful shift for the actress, both in tone and performance. Reflecting on her journey so far, Ishita shares, 'I grew up in an artistic household, surrounded by music and creativity—my mother is a ghazal singer, my brother plays the tabla, and my sister-in-law is a vocalist. While the performing arts were always part of my environment, acting wasn't something I initially envisioned for myself. It was the grace, elegance, and strength of Madhuri Dixit and Rekha that first inspired me to dream. Over the years, this industry has shaped me deeply—it has taught me persistence, resilience, and how to find grace even in the face of uncertainty and rejection. Every challenge has only made me stronger.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Invest $200 in Amazon without buying stocks to earn a second salary Marketsall Sign Up Undo Talking about Chamkili, she adds, 'Chamkili isn't the first negative role that came my way—I've had similar offers in the past, but I was hesitant because of the industry's perception of antagonists; you tend to be typecast. But Chamkili was different. She's like a coin—innocent and soft-spoken in front of her husband and the villagers, yet manipulative and menacing behind their backs. She's the darkest and most complex character I've portrayed so far. Stepping into her world has been both liberating and unsettling in the best possible way. Characters like her don't seek validation, they provoke, disturb, and reflect uncomfortable truths. And that's the beauty of it. If people are reacting strongly, even negatively, I know I'm doing justice to her. Just like Ranveer Singh took on the role of Khilji in Padmaavat at the peak of his career, sometimes playing the darkest characters can lead to the brightest future.' With over a decade of experience, Ishita has some valuable advice for those looking to enter the industry. 'To anyone who dreams of being a part of this industry, remember this: success here isn't just about talent—it's about staying grounded during the highs and standing tall through the lows. You have to be open to everything—the applause, silence, rejections, breakthroughs. Accept it all with grace, humility, and a strong sense of self. That's how you not just survive but truly grow.' As for what's next on the show? Chamkili now has a new partner in crime—Tapasya, played by Mansi Sharma. Together, they plan to oust Chaina from the haveli and secure Chamkili's place as the Thakurian. But will their plan succeed?
