A MAJOR Welsh holiday park has gone into administration.
Celtic Holiday Parks in Pembrokeshire is now seeking a buyer, administrator Grant Thornton has announced.

The holiday park company operates Noble Court Holiday Park in Narberth and Meadow House Holiday Park in Amroth as well as Croft Country Park.
All three of the parks will continue to operate as normal, with jobs secure for the time being.
Celtic Holiday Parks was established back in 2003 as a family-run business.
And in 2022, the company's managing director Huw Pendleton gained an award for 'outstanding contribution to the UK tourism industry'.
The holiday parks offer a range of static caravans, lodges, glamping and touring and tent pitches.
Recently, the parks have seen around £6million in investment and back in 2020, Celtic Holiday Parks secured a loan to add 54 holiday homes to it's sites.
Many of the accommodation types are dog-friendly and each park has a restaurant or tavern that serve lunch or dinner.
Two of the parks feature gyms and all three have a swimming pool.
At the Croft Country Park, visitors can also indulge in a range of treatments with massages from as little as £42.
Treatments also include Neal's Yard products.

Over the years, Celtic Holiday Parks have also won awards including the Best Caravan and Camping Parks in Pembrokeshire from The SME Welsh Enterprise Awards in 2020 and in 2021.
According to Travel Mole, Grant Thornton said: "The joint administrators are continuing to trade the company's business whilst a buyer is sought, and employees have been retained to support this strategy.
"Unless customers are contacted and advised otherwise, their bookings will go ahead and access to the parks will continue as normal for owners of caravans and lodges."

My partner Lauren and I might be sweltering under the relentless heatwave that was hitting Europe, but just hours after landing for our city break in the Portuguese capital, we knew we'd picked just the right place for an unforgettable adventure. The charming city is a cool (or not so cool in our case) mix of laid back culture, an extraordinary blend of history and, much to our delight, culinary revelation. Its winding cobbled streets, vibrant neighbourhoods, and stunning architecture make it impossible to experience everything in just one visit but we gave it our best shot and what we did manage to explore was nothing short of exceptional. Praça do Comércio is undeniably a tourist hotspot but, just like our lunch, it's a feast for the eyes, framed by striking architecture and boasting views of the impressive River Tagus. We ate as we admired the imposing Sanctuary of Christ the King in all its glory, on the opposite side and decided that was definitely on our weekend wanted list. But first that beer, and also a taste of the local cherry brandy, Ginja. I'm not particularly partial to cherries, but it was rich, sweet, and utterly delicious. It's renowned for its opulent palaces and breathtaking landscapes. After a challenging uphill walk – more arduous than we'd been led to believe – we reached the Quinta da Regaleira. Its atmosphere, intricate architecture, and lush gardens are stunning and the queue to see the famed Initiation Well, with its mystical and pagan symbols, was worth the wait. Legend says Templar Knight initiation ceremonies were once held here where they would climb down the spiral staircase, and emerge into a pitch-black labyrinth of tunnels. We didn't quite pluck up the courage to follow in their footsteps but did explore a few levels. Credit: Getty 16 Kiosks selling food and drink at Jardim do Príncipe Real It was a perfect few hours of escape but soon the calls of the bustling city enticed us back and we ended our day enjoying Lisbon's charming kiosk culture in Jardim do Príncipe Real. The outdoor kiosks offer affordable drinks and snacks to enjoy as you relax under the sun or in our case, the shade, while soaking up the atmosphere. On our final day we ventured to Belém, and headed to the Jerónimos Monastery. Although the Belém Tower was closed for renovations, the monastery's lovely cloisters and grounds more than made up for it. And I couldn't resist a visit to the Belenenses FC stadium, although Lauren wasn't quite as taken with it! As temperatures soared we ended our trip as it began, seeking solace in a bar, This time we enjoyed a couple of refreshing Caipirinhas, a Brazilian cocktail and a heavy nod to Lisbon's strong Brazilian influences…Saúde!

The derelict 19th century fort was bought by Mike Connor, 52, in 2017 for a mere £555,000. The fortress lies on Thorne Island just off the coast of Pembrokeshire in Wales. It was known for stag, hen, wedding and birthday parties under its previous owner but had been left abandoned for 17 years. It took Mike about a year just to get the fortress back to a habitable state. Decked out with 40 beds, four en-suite bathrooms and a night club the historic fortress is now back on the market for a whopping £3 million. It even comes complete with is own helipad for ease of access to the remote island fortress. It was originally built in the 1850s as a 100 man fort designed to protect the port of Milford Haven from naval attacks. In 1947 the massive fortress was converted into a hotel an hired out for events. It was then sold on in 1999 and by 2001 it was owned by the Von Essen hotel group who hoped to spend £4 million to re-open the hotel. When Mike purchased the former party island it was derelict and abandoned with the former software boss returning it to its former glory. The 'charming' Irish castle on market with a host of perks Mike said the fortress had no electricity or water supply when he bought it. The huge refurbishment project ended up costing a fortune with basic jobs like installing flushing toilets racking up a hefty £200,000 bill. It took nearly half a decade to get the party island back to a reasonable state with a crew of six men living on the island while work was carried out. Equipment had to be flown to the island fortress by helicopter, further racking up the renovation costs. 6 The massive building can accommodate up to 800 people Credit: SWNS 6 It boasts 40 beds and four en suites Credit: SWNS 6 When Mike bought the property it didn't have running water or electricity Credit: SWNS Crews working on the project would reportedly spend two weeks unable to shower while living in the derelict fort. Workmen would charge their phones using a generator and would have to wash in the sea. The island hosted its own festival for Mike's 50th birthday party which featured a tight rope performer above the courtyard. Mike described his time on the island as "incredible" saying it allowed him to let go of everyday routines. He doesn't live on the fortress island full time but spent a large amount of time there throughout the five year renovation project. Mike now plans to sell of the island fortress and hopes that the new owner will enjoy it as much as he did. He said the island has huge potential as a tourist attraction or to host "the most unbelievable raves." The fort can host around 800 people with Mike envisioning the site offering 24-hour experiences to visitors. He told the BBC: "I think that would be great for Wales, but I'm not in that industry and I don't know how that works. "If it was generating revenue, and creating jobs and sustaining itself, that would be a great outcome."
