Three beloved kids TV channels are shutting down in hours after 16 years of broadcasting
The main channel has been around for 16 years, albeit with a different name when it first burst onto the scene.

Sky's TV guide shows no programmes on POP Max from 10am on Tuesday

POP Max will cease broadcasting on all Sky platforms from Tuesday (April 22).
This includes the main POP Max and POP Max+1 on Sky Q and Sky+HD, as well as POP Max HD on Sky Glass and Sky Stream.
The channel
POP Max first started out life known as Kix in 2008, before being rebranded in 2017 under the current name familiar to kids today.

POP Max shows animated programmes including Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series and Droners.

On satellite, Tiny POP is moving from 618 up to 615 from tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Tiny POP+1 will jump from 629 to 619.
And POP+1 is also shifting from 619 to 618.

These latest closures don't come as much of a shock with children largely shifting to digital platforms for entertainment thanks to apps like TikTok and YouTube.

Three Irish film companies were said to have teamed up to produce a biopic about Sinéad, who died aged 56 in 2023. Earlier this week, Variety reported that Irish production company ie: entertainment is behind the film. Natalie, who previously shaved her head for the 2005 film, V For Vendetta, is said to be the 'spitting image of Sinéad' in the film. Sinéad is still best remembered for her 1990 hit Nothing Compares 2 U, which was accompanied by a music video in which she appears with a shaved head as she sheds a tear over the memory of her dead mother. Sinead was rumoured to be in discussions for a biopic inspired by her life Baker was thrilled to land a deal with a German record label and one of the songs he gave them was Cinderella, which had been a track on an album he released over a decade ago called My Songs, My Friends. 'One day in the car with Sinead I put on a CD of stuff I was working on and that was one of them. I had called it Kings,' Don revealed earlier this year. 'She said, 'I'd f**kin' love to record that.' I obviously told her I'd love her to record it. So we later recorded it for the album, My Songs My Friends. 'She kept calling the song Cinderella because there's a line in it that goes, 'Cinderella was a junkie and full of pain, ain't that the truth we're all the same.' 'She thought the line was brilliant. So we just changed the name to Cinderella because that's what everybody seemed to be calling it, 'Oh I love that song, Cinderella.' 'Cinderella is about something that is never spoken about, which is love and sex addiction and co-dependency. 'We talk about heroin addiction, alcoholism, gambling addiction, but you rarely see a discussion about sex addiction and love addiction and co-dependency. It's a huge problem for society and she saw that.' 'Not long before she passed she was going to take the blues road, singing the blues, and she asked me to produce the album,' Don told Sunday World's Eddie Rowley.
