Kota Kinabalu: Lawyer Chin Tek Ming defended his participation in the Gempur Rasuah Sabah 2.0 rally. Youth Council Supports Rights To Protest Against Corruption

He urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to act more decisively and fairly, especially in high-profile cases. According to him, the fight against corruption must be consistent and impartial to restore public trust. Citing Transparency International's 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index, which gave Malaysia a score of 50 and placed the country 57th out of 180 nations, he said this was a clear sign that stronger national action was needed. He called for a 'whole-of-nation' approach and said MBM was ready to act as a bridge between students and agencies like MACC. He also offered MBM's support in organising engagement sessions and policy discussions that involve student voices. And in the Korabelny district overnight Russian bombing wounded a woman in her 70s, Kherson council reported on Telegram. On the diplomatic front, talks are stalled despite pressure from the US. In a Facebook post, deputy housing and local government minister Aiman Athirah Sabu expressed her condolences and called the murder 'shocking'. 'I urge that the investigation be carried out transparently, fairly and urgently to ensure justice is upheld and the truth is revealed,' she said, adding she was also closely monitoring Sepang police for updates on the case. Maniishapriet, who hailed from Kuching, Sarawak, was found in her condominium unit in Cyberjaya with injuries on her body by a friend on Tuesday. This morning, Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman confirmed her death was due to blunt force trauma to the head. 'Investigations at the scene found no signs that her residence had been broken into.
