WWE's Tiffany Stratton uncorks brutal first pitch at Mets game: ‘Giving 50 Cent a run'
It appears 50 Cent has some competition for worst first pitch at Citi Field.
WWE women's world champion Tiffany Stratton threw out the first pitch ahead of Thursday's game between the Mets and Nationals — a 4-3 Amazin's win — when she hilariously sent the pitch sailing way past outfielder Jared Young, who was set to catch the ball behind the plate.
Stratton put her arms over her head after the ball went toward the photographers and hit the backstop and Young had to go retrieve it before the WWE star walked off the mound.

She seemed to take the moment in stride, poking fun at herself on social media, comparing her throw to the one wild one 50 Cent threw in 2014.
'Giving 50 Cent a run for his money,' she wrote on X.

The throw joins a list of celebrity first pitches that missed their marks, with the Queens rapper's being one of the most infamous.
Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen famously threw a first pitch right into the turf when she took the mound at Tropicana Field in Tampa ahead of a 2013 Rays game.
Former NBA star John Wall nearly took out photographers when he threw out his first pitch during a Nationals game in 2011, but thankfully, former Nats pitcher Drew Storen managed to dive and snag the ball.

And a ceremonial first pitch from UFC star Conor McGregor completely missed the mark when he appeared on the mound before a Cubs game in 2021.
Stratton seemed to enjoy her time at Citi Field on Thursday as she sported a custom Mets jersey and blue Mets hat and captioned a pic from the game on her Instagram, 'Put me in @Mets.'
The Mets did come away with the win on Thursday, but their ace, Kodai Senga, injured his hamstring during the game and is heading to the IL.
