Dave Peloquin, who's been with Notre Dame since the Bob Davie era, moves to Athletes First
While his work recently hasn't been specifically with the on-field portion of the football team, he was still part of the university's Name, Image, and Likeness department as the assistant athletic director for football strategic initiatives reported Eric Hanson in April of 2023.
Athletes First already has a big influence on the NFL, as former Notre Dame star safety Kyle Hamilton is on their roster. They also employ former head coach Brian Kelly, as they will now look to make a bigger impact within college football.
You can most likely expect more than a few current and future Irish stars to join that team, as their relationships with Peloquin should give them a bit of an advantage with his new company. We wish Dave the best in his new role, especially considering he was a lifer inside Notre Dame football.

The incoming Arizona guard, taking part in summer practice, talked Tuesday about the advice his dad, LeBron James, has given him, which is mostly sound advice in all parts of life — be true to yourself. 'Just working hard and just come in here and doing what you do best,' Bryce told reporters. 'Just making sure even if you're not having some good days just have the stay-positive mentality. Getty Images The 6-foot-4 shooting guard was a three-star recruit — according to 247Sports — and had offers from Ohio State and Duquesne. Part of his decision was the atmosphere and the energy the fans bring to McKale Memorial Center in Tucson. Advertisement 'For me personally, I would probably say the environment. I know the fans really enjoy coming to the Arizona game and they like to get rowdy and loud,' he said. 'So, for me personally, I just want a real college experience and for me, Arizona was one of those colleges.' James comes to Arizona, which had the No. 3 recruiting class this year, according to both 247 and Rivals. Much like his older brother, Bronny, he stayed out west for college after finishing high school at Sierra Canyon, helping the team to a California state title in 2025. Bryce was asked if he saw what Bronny experienced during the 2023-24 season at USC and would want to avoid the spotlight. Just really locking in and focusing on college. As for what Bronny told his younger brother, he said for Bryce to be consistent and focused. Bryce added that what he will bring best to the Wildcats — who are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance last year — are his shooting skills, basketball IQ and defensive ability. Advertisement Coming to a team that has a strong freshman class and high expectations, Bryce now said he's ready to bring a strong effort to Arizona. 'College and high school are two different things,' he added. 'So, I'm just coming here and working hard and putting in the effort and it will turn out good.'

ESPN analyst believes Notre Dame will have more wins than No. 1 ranked Texas
Ready to get roasted for this!One wager for EVERY TOP 25 CFB Team!My Longhorns outta the Before the season, there are plenty of hot takes, and for Notre Dame football, there was one that we all hope is correct from ESPN's Pamela Maldonado. She made the proclamation that the Irish would have more wins this year US LBM Coaches Poll's No. 1 team, the Texas Longhorns. Maldonado broke it down by saying that 'Notre Dame knows exactly who they are, Texas enters the season trying to figure it out.' While she is focusing on the betting aspect of the two team's win totals, Maldonado sees the Irish having 'identity, structure, stability, and Notre Dame has it all.' She goes on to say that the Irish's defense should continue to be elite, as they return 11 players on the defensive line who have extensive experience. Maldonado says the unit has 'depth, experience and they will come in waves. They have a system that already works. Plug and play type of guys who know the scheme, and a coach who knows how to win ugly.' It's hard to see where she is wrong in her assessment, as the Irish have tons of talent defensively, which should give the offense plenty of time to catch up during the regular season. The Longhorns, like the Irish, are breaking in a new quarterback, and have a tough first game on the road against a top-10 opponent. Texas does have more currently scheduled top-25 games, and while Maldonado didn't mention this aspect, it surely played a part into her statement. While the Irish do have some questions entering the season, its great to see that Maldonado believes they'll have a better record at the end of the season that the current preseason top team in college football.
