90s boyband star who abruptly vanished from public life pictured on rare outing

Metro10-05-2025
One 90s boyband star who quite literally vanished off the face of the Earth after quitting fame has been spotted on a rare outing.
Take That member Jason Orange rose to fame in 1990 when the group was formed, comprising Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, and Robbie Williams.
Jason was part of the Never Forget hitmaking band for six years and returned when they reunited in 2005, but ultimately bowed out of performing and fame altogether when he quit in 2014.
Now aged 54, the former pop star lives a much quieter life and is rarely seen in public.
New photos capture him looking super chilled while cycling in Primrose Hill.
Jason appeared in good spirits for his solo outing, dressed in casual attire with his hood up to avoid drawing attention to himself.
The Patience singer sported dark grey cargo pants and a zip-up jacket, concealing his eyes with a pair of tinted shades.
No longer performing to crowds of thousands or dancing in ultra-cheesy music videos, Jason has swapped his once hectic lifestyle for a much more normal pace.
At the start of this year, it was reported that the star had entered the property business with Celtic football legend Neil Lennon.
A source told The Sun in January: 'Jason and Neil have known each other for a fair while and played in a charity football game together some years back.'
They continued: 'Neil has a firm, and Jason has come on board.
'Jason prefers to live a quiet life out of the spotlight but has got a real flair for property.'
It's believed Jason sold his first property around that time, with customers praising his 'lovely' and 'professional' manner.
When Jason announced he was leaving Take That, he told their devoted fanbase: 'I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years.
'I have spent some of the best years of my life with Take That, and I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey, including my bandmates, who I feel are like brothers to me.'
While he referred to his now ex-bandmates as his 'brothers' at the time, Jason rarely speaks to the other members of Take That now.
In 2018, Howard told Loose Women he believes Jason wants to be 'a million miles away' from the life he used to lead, revealing he's not good at responding to calls or emails and is 'off the grid'.
A recent Take That documentary also confirmed that Gary, 54, Mark, 53, and Howard, 54, struggle to get hold of him these days, with Gary specifically admitting it's a surprise.
The Let Me Go hitmaker said there was no real reason for Jason cutting contact, given that a feud wasn't the reason for his exit. He confirmed he only hears from Jason sporadically. More Trending
'It's a tricky one with Jay. I almost think if there had been a big argument, it would be easier, but there wasn't,' he added.
'He just wanted a change in his life. But he does keep an eye on us. And it's nice to know that.'
The award-winning boyband is still going strong now as a trio, having ticked off some incredible bucket list achievements in recent years.
Most recently, they performed a reworked version of their tune Greatest Day at the Baftas after it featured in the Oscar-winning movie Anora.

Celtic fans demand ‘where can I get one?' as South American club release Hoops-inspired kit in homage to Parkhead side

A SOUTH American club have unveiled their new kit inspired by Celtic, with Hoops fans liking what they see. The jersey unveiled yesterday by Argentinian side Club Atletico Sarmiento is a double call-back to the Hoops. 3 Club Atletico Sarmiento have released a kit inspired by Celtic Credit: Club Atletico Sarmiento / X 3 The Hoops are in call-back to the Lisbon Lions Credit: Club Atletico Sarmiento / X 3 The announcement video shows a bagpiper draped in the colours Credit: Club Atletico Sarmiento / X The top is inspired by their own kit from 1968, which in turn was inspired by the European Cup winners of the previous year - the famous Lisbon Lions. Sharing the latest bit of gear, Sarmiento said in a social media post: "A t-shirt is more than fabric, it connects stories. "In 1968, Sarmiento used a design inspired by Celtic, the European champions. A Scottish club with an Irish soul. "Today, we relaunch that t-shirt to celebrate the union and the Irish legacy in Junín." The launch video shows a man in the Hoops wielding bagpipes, while a voiceover says: "More than a century ago, the Irish community brought work, customs, and a colour that will stay with us forever. "In 1968, Sarmiento decided to wear the green and white jersey like Celtic, European Champions. A Scottish club with an Irish soul. "That shirt became history. Today we wear it again. "A tribute to the Irish community, to our city, to its roots, which are also part of our history." Also shown is a captain's armband in tricolours emblazoned with a shamrock. And some fans of a green and white persuasion are enamoured by this top, wondering how they can get their hands on one. Celtic linked with ANOTHER winger and is Balikwisha a DONE DEAL One wrote 'that's class', while another said it's 'better than what we have and a nice armband'. A fan commented 'I'd buy one of these' while others asked where to do so. But it seems that may not be an easy task, as the club has confirmed an initially limited sale. Sarmiento said: "A beauty. The first units of the new model will be on sale exclusively for members at our stand at the #ExpoJunín. Limited units. "The Sarmiento Athletic Club thanks everyone who made this production possible." One keen Hoops supporter replied in Spanish asking if it would be available for online purchase and delivery to Scotland, but the answer isn't yet known. I went to the 'first ever wedding' at the Edinburgh Fringe

But on Saturday, I was privileged to witness the marriage of Linus Ljunggren and Joseph Paterson, two festival icons. Believed to be the first ever legal wedding to take place at the world-famous festival, the ceremony was as outrageous and delightful and camp as you might expect – but it was also a beautiful testament to two people who are deeply committed to each other. The order of service for the ceremony, which took place at The Grand in Pleasance Courtyard (Image: NQ) The pair have known each other for more than 10 years and are true Fringe royalty. Through their production company Awkward Productions, they're known for their sell-out shows Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story, and Gwyneth Goes Skiing – two of my favourite shows I've seen in recent years. Before anyone asks – yes, their wedding was technically a "show". Yes, anyone could buy a ticket and come along. Yes, you could wear whatever you wanted. In order to appreciate the wedding fully, you have to throw out any preconceived notions you might have about what a wedding is "supposed" to be. There is no perfect formula – it should simply be what you want it to be. READ MORE: Derry Girls star and Scots DJ pay homage to Celtic roots in Irish wedding The proceedings began with a heart-wrenching rendition of 2 Become 1 by the Spice Girls, sung by none other than comedian and actress Sooz Kempner. Then the grooms arrived. In a wonderfully executed routine, Joseph came on stage to Charli XCX's Von Dutch, while Linus was literally carried down the aisle by a handful of shirtless men. There were the classic wedding speeches – but with a twist. One of the best men gave a dramatic reading of Miley Cyrus's Party In The USA (there wasn't a dry eye in the room), while another best man gave a speech featuring random words which had been selected by the audience. It was pure, joyful chaos. Joseph (left) and Linus (right) pictured with officiant Jackie Blackburn (Image: NQ) Onto the actual ceremony, which was officiated by Jackie Blackburn from City of Edinburgh Council, in case you were in any doubt that this was a real, legal wedding. Of course, to get married you need rings. A group of performers from Recent Cutbacks (who also have a Fringe show) thankfully came to the rescue, with an Oscar-worthy retelling of Lord of the Rings, where they presented the couple with their own rings from Mordor. Once the "I Dos" were exchanged, the audience gave one of the loudest standing ovations I've ever heard at the Fringe. It was beautiful to see a room full of mostly strangers come together, it felt like a scene from a movie. It would be remiss of me not to mention what people were wearing. While there were lots of folk dressed in regular Fringe-going outfits, I did also spot a couple of people donning kilts, as well as a couple of corsages. READ MORE: The 'significant' yet hidden Scottish cave where an important saint once lived As for the groom and groom, they were styled by Cosimo Damiano Angiulli, the designer behind SIMO THE LABEL, a sustainable, gender-fluid fashion brand based in Edinburgh. Their outfits were stunning – a lovely tribute to their individual personalities, while also complementing each other perfectly. Instead of gifts, the couple asked for people to buy tickets to their shows (there's no such thing as a bad time for publicity), and to donate to Medical Aid for Palestinians. For a couple so embedded in the fabric of the Fringe, I can't think of a better place to get married. And if anyone was doubting just how committed they are to the festival – they're set to perform their newest show The Fit Prince (Who Gets Switched On The Square In The Frosty Castle The Night Before (Insert Public Holiday Here)) just hours after getting married. To witness this beautiful ceremony was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and something I will cherish forever.

A third commented: "World's most prominent footballing journo announcing a Scottish Championship signing." Many fans of the East End Park club wrote 'we are massive' while the club itself reposted Romano simply saying '@FabrizioRomano knows'. Former Celtic man Neil Lennon acquired the 22-year-old from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee yesterday. Celtic hero Neil Lennon spotted singing and dancing to Oasis song at Murrayfield gig The South American new boy previously played for homeland sides Melgar and Binacional and has been capped once for the country's under-23s. He joined the Blades last year and only featured for the U21 side, being named in his first senior squad in April but not appearing. And Caceres wasn't the only player Dunfermline signed yesterday, as they picked up Rangers kid Robbie Fraser on a three-year deal. The full-back impressed on loan at Livingston last season as they got promoted via the playoffs, beating Ross County in the final. The 22-year-old said to the club: 'I'm at a stage in my career where I've come out of that younger phase. I want to get games, I want to show that I'm more than capable of holding my own. "I want to do my absolute best for this football club, I want to get us back to the top league, where they should be.' Meanwhile off the pitch, gaffer Lennon was spotted enjoying himself at Murrayfield as he took in one of Oasis' reunion gigs. The Hoops legend's son, Gallagher, is named after the iconic band's brothers Liam and Noel. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
