This Morning viewers 'surprised' as they make same comment on Olivia Attwood's debut

Daily Mirror7 days ago
Olivia Attwood joined the This Morning sofa alongside Dermot O'Leary this morning as she made her presenting debut on the show weeks after making the exciting announcement
This Morning underwent a huge presenter shake-up this morning, as former Love Island star Olivia Attwood stepped up to the presenting role for the first time.

It's not the star's first major gig on ITV daytime, having joined the Loose Women presenters on the panel as a regular in August 2023. She also has her own show on the channel, The Price of Perfection, in which she goes behind the scenes of cosmetic procedures, examining society's obsession with the 'perfect' body.

Olivia stepped straight into her This Morning role, warmly welcomed by fellow co-host Dermot O'Leary. However, they couldn't resist making a gag at the height difference between the two – as Olivia joked she had to wear smaller heels to present alongside her co-host.

Elsewhere on the show, Olivia opened up about her ADHD diagnosis during a news segment with Ashley James and Gyles Brandreth.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter upon her debut, with many saying she was a 'great addition' to the line-up. One impressed fan penned: "Love to see Olivia is presenting on #thismorning great addition!" as a second agreed: "Loving Olivia!"

"Good to see you in the show. You are doing great," another tweeted about the former Love Island star.
Others were left surprised with their feelings towards the star presenting, as one penned: "Don't shoot me down but I actually like Olivia presenting!"
Another replied: "tbh I like Olivia, there are way more insufferable people than her and at least her documentaries aren't just a reality show all about me me me."

Olivia isn't the only former Love Island star to land a role on the huge ITV morning show, as awkwardly, her ex Chris Hughes joined the programme after his stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
Chris, who finished as a finalist on CBB and is now dating his fellow former housemate JoJo Siwa, regularly joins the show via two-way to host the competitions.
However, it doesn't look like the two will be having an awkward run in during Olivia's debut, but as she's hosting all Summer, it could happen in the future...
Yesterday, regular Summer and Friday presenter Alison Hammond announced it was her final show before taking a break for the next few weeks. Before the show ended, Alison and her co-host Dermot O'Leary gave each other a huge hug as she said, "See you in September, bye!"

Love Island producers brought back the baby challenge to ‘stop couple from winning', claim fans

That couple is Jamie Rhodes and Yasmin Pettet. The couple, who got together after Casa Amor, recently went exclusive after meeting each other's friends and family. But despite their strong bond, there seems to be a rift of sorts between the pair. When the baby challenge kicked off in Thursday's episode, it was clear that Jamie and Yasmin wanted different things in life. Yas was less than impressed and told her partner that she's not maternal and has no interest in becoming a mother. Despite seeing kids in his future, Jamie assured Yas it wasn't a deal breaker for him. Jamie told Yas he was surrounded by children in his family, and "probably would" want to have children of his own one day. A fan on X shared their theory, writing: "Hear me out: the producers brought back the baby challenge for like 10 minutes just to prompt a conversation between yas and jamie wanting different things because they don't want them to win." Lucy Spraggan ‘clashed heads a bit' with boxer Conor Benn on Celebrity SAS

Singer Lucy Spraggan has said she 'clashed heads a bit' with boxer Conor Benn during her time on Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The 32-year-old singer, who made her name on ITV singing show The X-Factor, will appear in the military reality show's latest series when it airs on Sunday at 9pm – having watched it 'avidly' and written about it in her diary when she was younger. Advertisement Spraggan said she ended up befriending Benn, and became so close with drag artist Bimini Bon Boulash, former Love Island star Adam Collard and Michaella McCollum, who was jailed for smuggling cocaine in Peru with Melissa Reid in 2013, during her time on the show, that she invited them to her wedding. The singer, who is best known for her songs Last Night (Beer Fear), Lighthouse and Tea And Toast, said: 'To be honest, it was mainly Michaella, Bimini, Troy, Adam (that she got on with best) but I also got on with Conor too, although we did clash heads a bit. 'It was only to do with him not really liking direction and I was picked to direct one of the tasks. 'I thought Adam was such a great guy. As a woman, when a man really makes you feel comfortable around them, he was that for me the whole time. Adam, Bimini and Michaella came to my wedding after the show.' Advertisement Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins sees celebrities enter SAS training, where they are not eliminated and are instead culled by the directing staff or able to withdraw themselves, with those who remain at the end declared the winners. Fellow contestant Chloe Burrows, best known for finishing second on Love Island series seven in 2021, described her time on the show as 'hell on earth', and added that she 'wasn't in great nick going in'. The 29-year-old said: 'It lived up to my expectations, but in my wildest dreams, it was much more intense, much more straining. 'It was so much more intense than I thought it could be, but because of all the stuff you don't see on camera, if that makes sense. Advertisement 'I would actually love the opportunity to give it another go. I know Pete Wicks has given it another shot. If I did I would say to my management I need a month off and I'm going to train, get SAS ready beforehand.' Benn, who is the son of former boxer Nigel Benn, said he was inspired by his father's time in the military to join the programme, and added that the only thing that would have scared him on the show was spiders. He said: 'It definitely lived up to my expectations. It was very real. It was brutal, intense, can be mind-breaking. 'But in a weird way, if you sort of ride the storm, you find yourself and find out what you're about, who you are. I find out who I am when I'm in the ring with another man. Advertisement 'Whereas for the other celebrities, who don't have to go to that place to really find out what minerals they're made of, this is the perfect test. They can find out if they're strong and put their resilience to the test.' The rest of the recruits will be made up of former footballers Adebayo Akinfenwa and Troy Deeney, TV dancer Louie Spence, Strictly Come Dancing 2025 runner-up Tasha Ghouri, former The Traitors winner Harry Clark, singer Hannah Spearritt, model Rebecca Loos, and rapper Lady Leshurr. Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, airs on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday, and will continue on Sundays and Mondays throughout August.
