'I wanted to share an event with the community that represents my Jamaican heritage and culture,' she says. 'Jamaican culture is universal and shares love, unity, and community internationally — we will find all of that in our festival.' Advertisement The party starts Friday, July 11, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with the Rum & Brew Tasting. This adult-only fund-raiser features soca music, dozens of Caribbean cocktails, craft beer, and cider.
