An infiltration attempt by a big group of terrorists was detected by the surveillance grid in Samba sector of Jammu Frontier. The group was trying to sneak across the international border (IB), supported by fire from Pakistan Rangers' post at Dhandhar. Alert troops of BSF foiled the infiltration bid, killing at least seven terrorists and causing extensive damage to the Dhandhar post," said a BSF spokesperson. The destruction of the bunker was captured with a hand-held thermal imager (HHTI) and the clip released by BSF on Friday.
"The foiled infiltration bids at Samba and Uri display the desperation of Pakistan and ISI to use foreign terrorists, under the cover of heavy shelling by Pakistan army, to carry forward its parallel terror agenda. Pakistan wants to open multiple fronts and divert the attention of Indian security forces , by using the trained terrorists," noted an officer.

Amid the heavy shelling and attempted drone attacks by the Pakistani forces on Indian villages and towns close to the LoC/IB, Union home minister Amit Shah on Friday held a security review with heads of BSF, CISF, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and Intelligence Bureau on Friday. The meeting is said to have laid stress on stepped up surveillance to detect and foil any possible infiltration bids by terrorists, apart from ensuring safety of vital installations close to the border, including airports, dams and oil refineries.

New Delhi [India], June 9 (ANI): BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has hit out at Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi, asking whether his family 'imposed the 1962 war on India by supporting China.' In his 'X' post, Nishikant Dubey accused former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru of creating a new slogan of the 'non-aligned countries'.
