Selangor vows humane eviction of ex-civil servant from Sungai Buloh quarters after viral TikTok video
He said the move considers humanitarian aspects, in line with the principles of Malaysia Madani.
The issue follows a viral TikTok video over six minutes long, featuring the individual who has been residing in the JPNS quarters despite leaving the civil service in 2015.
Ahmad Fadzli said the quarters are meant exclusively for active civil servants and JPNS had previously granted extensions and opportunities for him to vacate.
The state government also clarified that the former officer has been receiving monthly financial aid from the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) to help ease his living expenses.
Despite the strict regulations surrounding the management of government assets, Ahmad Fadzli said the state remains concerned about the individual's welfare.
Efforts are underway to assist him in finding alternative housing, in coordination with the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS) and other relevant agencies, he added. — Bernama

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government has rolled out the Selangor State Governance and Service Delivery Reform Framework (RSTU), a strategic initiative to streamline policy implementation and align state governance with federal directives. SHAH ALAM, Aug 4 — The Selangor-level 68th National Day celebration will be held on August 30, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. Amirudin said the parade will be held as it has been in previous years. 'The only difference this year is that a special address will be held on Friday, August 29…where I will deliver a message to department heads and community representatives, outlining Selangor's direction leading up to 2026. 'Besides that, it (the address) will present several of the government's plans, including the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) and the Selangor Smart State initiatives,' he said. He spoke to reporters after launching the state-level Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign in conjunction with the 2025 National Day celebration at Dewan Jubli Perak here today. During the ceremony, representatives from the state's nine districts and land offices, as well as 12 local authorities, received the Jalur Gemilang.
