Diaz talking to other clubs
Diaz has confirmed that he and his representatives have spoken to different teams about opportunities this summer.
'We are talking with other clubs,' he admitted in comments reported by Pipe Sierra. 'It's normal in the transfer window and we're looking at the best for us.

With his Liverpool deal worth a reported £55k per week, Diaz might well feel he's worth a lot more given he's contributed 13 goals during a Premier League-winning season.
But the club don't yet appear to see it that way, reportedly content to keep Diaz at the club until his contract runs out on his current wages rather than upping his pay to a desired £150k per week or thereabouts.
'It's up to the club' says Diaz
On international duty this week ahead of a CONMEBOL World Cup qualification match against Peru, Diaz offered a hint that he would be willing to engage in talks with his employers.

'If they offer us a good renewal or I stay there for the two years [of current contract], I'll be happy. Now it's up to them."
The ball is in Liverpool's court and there is a Diaz endgame in sight.
Put simply: The club have the choice to retain for two years and inevitably lose him on a free.
They could opt to cash in this summer and bank €85m from Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr reportedly keen to add the 28-year-old.

Liverpool submit new £113 million bid for Florian Wirtz

Liverpool have submitted a new bid of £113 million to Bayer Leverkusen for playmaker Florian Wirtz, according to The Times. The new proposal will see the Reds pay £100 million guaranteed, plus another £13 million in bonuses. Unfortunately, it is still short of Bayer Leverkusen's demands. Advertisement Die Werkself want £126 million (€150 million) to let Wirtz go, but Liverpool do not want to match that exorbitant fee. Despite the report from The Times, other reliable sources suggest that all parties will still agree on a deal, as the player is keen on a move to Anfield. While many ponder whether the German international is worth the eye-watering sum, his numbers have been consistently elite. Wirtz joined Bayer Leverkusen from FC Koln at the age of 16. Within weeks of turning 17, he was already making his Bundesliga debut. Weeks later, he scored against Bayern Munich to become the youngest-ever Bundesliga goalscorer at 17 years and 34 days (at the time). He has proven his mettle through the years. Advertisement Wirtz was a standout as Leverkusen won the domestic double last term and reached the Europa League final. They did not reach those heights this term, but he finished with 16 goals and 14 assists. Wirtz ranked eighth for progressive passes in the Bundesliga this season (155). Last term, he made and received the third most progressive passes in the German top flight. This makes excellent reading for a number 10 who operates between the lines. He also created 2.1 chances from open play per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga this season (min. 1,000 minutes). That was more than any of his Leverkusen teammates, while only Mohamed Salah averaged more for Liverpool (2.3) in the Premier League. Advertisement Wirtz executed the fourth-most carries in the Bundesliga this season (549). Only one player had more than his five assists following a carry. The Leverkusen star also attempted (165) and completed (82) the most dribbles in the Bundesliga this season. The underlying numbers are excellent, compelling Liverpool to break their transfer record. However, he will be under pressure to deliver if he gets the big-money move to England.

Leverkusen and Liverpool reach breakthrough in Wirtz negotiations

The transfer of Florian Wirtz to Liverpool FC is reportedly just a formality now. According to Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen and the Premier League champions have reached an advanced stage in negotiations, with "no serious doubts" remaining about the deal. Advertisement A breakthrough was reportedly reached on Friday, with a final agreement on a deal worth around €150 million said to be imminent. Wirtz is expected to sign a contract with Liverpool through 2030, earning an annual salary of €20–22 million. The Reds beat out strong competition from Manchester City, Real Madrid as well as Bayern Munich, who were long considered frontrunners for the 22-year-old.

Liverpool transfer news: Fabrizio Romano confirms agreement is close for world-class wonderkid

According to Romano, Liverpool are closing in on sealing an agreement for Armin Pecsi. The Reds have agreed everything on the player's side and are close to agreeing a record fee for the Hungarian league to sign him from Puskas Akademia. Advertisement But just who is Pecsi? On paper with Alisson at the club and Giorig Mamardashvili on his way, signing another goalkeeper doesn't feel that exciting. However, Liverpool fans should be excited about him. Pecsi is one of the biggest goalkeeping talents in world football and he has world-class potential. The numbers reflect that. He prevented 14.33 goals in the Hungarian top flight last season and he made the most saves (91) in the entire league. Pecsi is also ranked second in the Golden Boy rankings among goalkeepers at the moment and 47 overall which is a really good rating for a goalkeeper. Sources in Hungary have described him as the best talent in the region. Many expect him to become a world-class player. He has the right mindset and attitude and he's got the ability to back it up as well. Advertisement His numbers are already elite level. Mamardashvili prevented over 10 goals in La Liga during the 2023/24 campaign and that was impressive. Pecsi's 14.33 is an incredible return. Being nominated among the top 100 biggest talents and ranking in 47 is not bad either. Very few players from Hungarian have earned that nomination. The last two to be nominated for the Golden Boy award were Milos Kerkez and Dominik Szoboszlai.
