In the newest release of Honkai: Star Rail version 3.2, all attention turns to the wonderful 5-star Wind character of the Erudition path, Anaxa. An AOE damage dealer in his own right, Anaxa is striking the scene with classy animations, fast attacks, and an astounding kit made for crowd control. Still, aiming for the first Eidolon (E1) of Anaxa could be one of the smartest moves to make for an elevation of gameplay, especially in end-game challenges.
What makes Anaxa's E1 so special?
Anaxa's E1 brings two advantages. It heals when a skill is used for the first time in the raid, and it also reduces enemy DEF upon being struck. While these enhancements may seem uncomplicated on paper, in actual application, they can radically change the tide of battle, especially in Memory of Chaos.
MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED! | Anaxa Guide - Best Relics, Lightcones & Teams | Honkai: Star Rail
In many of the hardest encounters in Honkai: Star Rail, the SP economy is a great determinant. If a DPS refunds an SP on Skill use, the benefits are enormous, for the freedom of normal rotation is gained, saving other precious SP for teammates or ensuring full aggression without interruptions.
Anaxa's E1 shines in this regard, where SP can frequently become a constraining resource in any dual-DPS setup.
Anaxa's E1 also bestows a DEF shred effect to his attacks, rendering enemies more vulnerable to damage. This effect complements his Erudition perfectly, allowing multi-target attacks to enhance the team's overall damage, not just his.
While his signature Light Cone Life Should Be Cast to Flames has a similar DEF-lowering effect, it cannot restore SP, thus making E1 a more strategic investment for the long haul.
Light Cone or Eidolon?
Several players will wonder if they should prioritize 5-star Light Cone Anaxa over his E1. Although Life Should Be Cast to Flames offers a bonus Ultimate Energy amount and an incredible damage boost, in most cases it probably will not be best-in-class for every team build — especially dual DPS teams. The problem is that this Light Cone's utility will be heavily dependent on Anaxa's uptime and role, while E1 promises a consistent utility whatever the formation. Other budget options include Before Dawn or Today Is Another Peaceful Day as alternative Light Cones. Hence, for F2P or low-spending users who want to get the most for their penny without the need of chasing every item in the banners, E1 stands out as far more valuable in the long run.
Anaxa Is The Most Versatile Erudition Unit! |Best Anaxa Guide, Build & Showcase! - Honkai Star Rail
If you are interested to pull Anaxa on version 3.2, you can take one more step and get his E1. Anaxa's E1 definitely has some of the strongest quality-of-life improvements, thanks to SP regeneration and DEF shred, making him feel more breezy, stronger, and team-friendly. Given the constant changes happening within Honkai: Star Rail's late-game content, this pretty much creates the cut between success and failure.

Honkai Star Rail 3.6 banners leaked, new characters, new Relics and more
Image via: HoYoverse With leaks spilling two brand new characters of 5-star caliber, reruns, and even relic updates, the hype around Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 is already brewing. This patch could very well be the greatest turning point in team-building strategy for those Trailblazers carefully hoarding their Stellar Jade. Two New Recruits, Two Very Different Roads Patch 3.6 welcomes Month of Evernight and Permansor Terrae, introducing new mechanics through summon-style abilities. Though their kits vary widely, they share a single common objective-to inject flexibility and innovation into team compositions. Evernight is the Phase 1 Frost Remembrance character. Her entire kit centers around a Memoria sprite called Eevee that boosts her damage and healing and offers crowd control protection. The Memoria stacking mechanic will please those players that enjoy layered DPS action since the stacks enable powerful finishers once fully charged. Evernight's damage amplification and ability to expose enemy weaknesses feel great for players who want a good balance of their own power and team synergy. HSR 3.6 IS ACTUALLY INSANE?! | FREE DAN HENG SP CONFIRMED & MORE EVERNIGHT DETAILS - HSR 3.6 LEAKS While Phase 2 welcomes Permansor Terrae, Preserver Cantankerous with a somewhat rare combination of buffs and shields, cane-rattle pushbroom super-strong shielding, and the rest stands apart. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Resmed AirSense 11 with flat 20% off ResMed Buy Now Undo Terrae's shields, unlike those from sustain characters, scale roughly with attack power, and his skills push allies forward via advancement of actions and damage amplification. His skill kit, moreover, allows follow-up attacks when buffed allies take their turns, thus making Terrae a fluid option for any team, be it defensively-strong or aggressively-focused. NEW UPDATE! CONFIRM 3.6 TO 4.2 BANNER ROADMAP! Evernight, Castorice, Cyrene - Honkai Star Rail To Cast and Anaxa Return While not yet officially confirmed, a leak indicated the possibility of reruns for Castorice (Quantum Remembrance) and Anaxa (Wind Erudition). For those that missed grabbing these versatile units the first time, 3.6 may finally be their second attempt. For months, ever since the launch, Trailblazers have pondered the age old question of whether to spend or save their resources. After monumentally delivering two summoner-oriented heavy hitters back to back in patch 3.6, it feels like the question is more pressing than ever. Evernight will razzle-dazzle Remembrance strategies while Terrae might just handily contest underwater with Adventurine as the next big Preservation pick. So if all goes down with the rerun, it might end up digging deeper into everyone's wallets and resources. NEW UPDATE! RERUN CHARACTER BANNER ROADMAP FOR 3.6-4.0 | Castorice, Cipher, Yunli - Honkai Star Rail Beyond Banners, Relics and Future Content New relic sets would be developed by the game to enhance the unique playstyle of these characters. While keeping details stashed away, relics that somewhat synergize with HP scaling Units of Ice or attack scaling Units of Preservation might make existing meta builds rarer. Final Thought: Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 isn't only about bringing flashy new faces into the game; it's about evolving how teams work. This patch is turning out to be one of the biggest yet, with Evernight's DPS mechanics and Terrae's shields gaining more presence. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Honkai Star Rail leak reveals Dan Heng Permansor Terrae kit and Eidolons
Image via: HoYoverse The Astral Express carries winds full of rumors about a formidable new ally- Dan Heng Permansor Terrae. Styled in lore as the Chrysos Heir, guarding Earth's Coreflame, the leaked kit of this soon-to-be-released unit hints that he represents a Preservation Path like never seen, a walking fortress whose shields are built from the strength of his sheer Attack power and not Defense. A Story Rooted in Permanence Prior to his expected arrival on the battlefield, in the drip marketing stages, Permansor Terrae was described as the chest of Georios and the body of a walking dragon, bearing a thousand years of torment to keep a dying world from crashing down. It is a story mixed with stoic endurance and mythic imagery that sets the character up as one who holds the line but walks with the allies onto survival. Preservation with a Twist Whereas traditional Preservation characters tend to build their shields from defense, leaks suggest that Dan Heng Permansor Terrae builds his from ATK, giving new possibilities to team compositions. His leaked base stats fit with this hybrid playstyle: HP: 1047 ATK: 485 DEF: 848 SPD: 97 Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae Full Kit Breakdown & Early Value Discussion | Honkai: Star Rail Abilities Built for Endurance and Support Basic Attack: Deals physical damage to a single foe. Skill : Grants the Bondmate buff to an ally and shields all allies for three turns. These shields can stack but are capped at 300% of the current highest value. Ultimate : Deals Physical damage to all foes, and grants allies to deal offset damage with shields for three turns, boosting the 'Souldragon', a special follow-up attacker triggered on their turn. Traces for Tactical Depth Dan Heng Permansor Terrae's leaked Traces focus on speed, energy gain, and team support: Boosts the ATK of the 'Bondmate' by 15% after using his skill. Gains an Action Advance of 40% at the start of the battle. Enhances Souldragon turn rate and grants extra Energy when 'Bondmate' lands attacks. NEW BEST SHIELDER + BUFFER!? Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae Looks CRAZY & First Impressions (HSR) While players just have to wait to actually play him, these leaks show a Preservation character who blurs the line between damage dealer and protector. Since shields are tied to ATK scaling, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae may turn the ways players think about shield-centric strategies, especially in teams that rely Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4.
