‘A sign from Shiva?': Snake sits on Shivling in temple, leaves crowd spellbound-- Watch video
In the middle of Sawan, when temples across the country stay busy with prayers and rituals, something unusual happened at a Shiva temple in Chhattisgarh– and it had nothing to do with any special event or ceremony. At the Narmadeshwar Mahadev Temple, a snake was spotted sitting coiled on the Shivling, surprising those present. The moment wasn't planned, but it quietly caught everyone's attention and has since become a talking point online. Snake charmer's rest stop turns into an unexpected scene According to a report by India Today, it all started when a snake charmer, passing through the temple area, paused to rest for a bit. A few devotees nearby, curious about the snakes he was carrying, asked him if they could see them. He opened his basket, and before anyone could react, one of the snakes slipped out, headed straight inside the sanctum, and climbed onto the Shivling. Watch the video here: For 20 minutes, all eyes are on the Shivling As per the report, the snake stayed there for nearly 20 minutes, wrapped around the Shivling. As people got wind of what had happened, more visitors started turning up. Some called it a spiritual moment, especially since it happened during Sawan, while others kept their distance, unsure of how to react. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Villas In Dubai | Search Ads Get Quote Undo Despite the growing crowd, everything at the temple went on as usual– there was no disruption in the ongoing pujas. Handled calmly, without any panic Eventually, the snake charmer stepped in and gently removed the snake from the Shivling. It was placed back in the basket without causing any panic, according to the report. The crowd stayed calm, and no one was harmed. Temple staff and devotees maintained a peaceful atmosphere throughout. Temple confirms rituals went on without interruption Even with more people showing up after the incident, the temple priests made sure that the daily prayers went on without any problem. The regular Sawan puja continued smoothly, and nothing was disrupted.
