Private plane's insane emergency landing on LA golf course: Terrifying moment caught on camera
'This happened at Riv today. I pray I'm never this late for a tee time, but I do pray for the means to pull up this way if I was,' an X user wrote while sharing the video of the moment.
In the video, an individual is heard yelling 'Holy schnikes' as the small aircraft barrels towards him. Just in a few seconds, a cart driver says, 'I'm moving, I'm moving,' as the plane makes a rough landing on the uneven grounds of the golf course.
An individual posted, 'Solid piloting on display here.' Another added, 'Omg that's freaking awesome.' A third posted, 'Look up tail number. Flew to Santa Monica today. From Modesto.' A fourth wrote, 'Imagine if we didn't have cameras, we couldn't believe this story.'
The Los Angeles Fire Department issued a statement following the incident. 'LAFD and Santa Monica Fire Department resources responded to a plane (unknown size) which landed safely at Riviera Country Club,' the department wrote. It added that the aircraft was diverted from Santa Monica Airport, but the reason for that is still unknown.
According to the department's statement, the plane had three occupants, and all of them escaped unharmed.
According to its official website, this 1926-founded golf course is 'one of the top 50 golf courses in the world and a top 25 in the United States.' It has also been selected as the official site of the 2028 Olympics golf tournament. In addition to gold, Riviera also has 24 tennis courts.

It is an opportunity to grow together as a golfing community,' points the Order of Merit (OoM) leader with four wins on WGAI this season. .Ridhima, second on OoM, feels the IGPL promises to be a platform for women golfers to express themselves. .Feeding off of rule book for the love of golf .'There are so many of us doing well on different tours. We deserve the limelight. India has an appetite for sports and this will give us a chance to showcase our stories for more people to know about us,' said the 27-year-old. .While Vani has been a professional since 2012, Ridhima turned pro in 2019. An integral part of the WGAI, both the girls from Delhi, stress that the growth lies in the quality and depth of the field and not in the numbers. .'Yes, there might be only a few of us.. say 40-50 pro golfers in India. But look at how many out of this limited pool have moved on to play on the bigger tours outside,' says Ridhima as Vani adds: 'There are 15-20 of us competing around the world. Today, if a player finishes no. 1 on WGAI, she gets four spots on the LET (Ladies European Tour).' .For Champika Sayal, secretary general of WGAI, other than IGPL potentially playing a role in strengthening women's golf in the country, she feels that the mixed format league will be good preparation for the new mixed team competition added as the third medal event in golf at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. .'Competing together will help build team spirit. This is the type of evolution that golf in India needed. .'The visibility of female golfers through IGPL, hopefully, will also attract more sponsors to bring international tournaments to India. The plan is to get an international event somewhere in Karnataka because they have some really good courses. This will happen in the near future.'

Rajasthan Olympic Association president Tejaswi Singh Gehlot demands inclusion of kabaddi in 2030 Commonwealth Games
Jaipur: The campaign to give a new identity to kabaddi on the world stage has intensified in the Indian sports world. In the Special General Body Meeting (SGM) of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) held in Delhi recently, a demand was made to officially include kabaddi in the Commonwealth Games likely to be held in India in 2030. This proposal was put forward by Rajasthan Olympic Association president Tejaswi Singh Gehlot, along with whom Indian Kabaddi Association president Vibhor Vineet Jain and vice-president Vijayarani were also present in the meeting. Gehlot said that kabaddi is a game linked to the culture, tradition and soil of India, which should get a place on the prestigious international platform like the Commonwealth. During this, IOA said that before the 2030 Commonwealth Games, kabaddi competitions of Commonwealth countries should be organised in India so that players get better opportunity for preparation and experience and enthusiasm and awareness towards the sport increases among the public. It was also agreed in the meeting that India should make organised and strategic efforts to include kabaddi in the 2036 Olympics. Gehlot said, "This sport has the potential to become not just India's but the world's sport now. The national level event will prepare the players to play at international standards and take the popularity of the sport to new heights."
