Travis Kelce: 'I sort of made Taylor Swift a football fan'
The 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player has been dating pop superstar Taylor, 35, for two years and Travis revealed Taylor is now the 'most engulfed fan' and even reads injury reports.
He told America's GQ: 'I sort of made her a football fan. She is the most engulfed fan now. She knows what the injury reports look like. She understands what special situations are, third and short - all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job.'
And while Taylor is a fan of Travis' exploits on the field, he revealed he also loves being a fan at her concerts.
He said: 'I get to be the plus one. I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan. I'm a fan of music. I'm a fan of art. And it's so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field ... I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows.'
And he compared Taylor's three-hour Eras tour concerts to a football game.
He said: 'I hadn't experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions. That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I've seen what she goes through. I've seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it's mind-blowing.
'To go out on a stage, on a computer, essentially, for three hours. The [Eras Tour] floor is literally - I've seen underneath that thing. It is a football-field-sized computer. You take that into Singapore, where it is scorching hot, and all of a sudden you're feeling the fumes from the computer and you're feeling the fumes from the sun and you're doing a show for three hours with a lot of energy, bringing it every single song. That is arguably more exhausting than how much I put in on a Sunday, and she's doing it three, four, five days in a row.'
Travis also revealed he has taken tips from Taylor on how to perform for an audience.
He explained: 'People gravitate towards how she performs and how she makes it feel like the entire stadium is in this little room with her. She is so good making everybody feel like it's an intimate situation. I think that alone - there is so much calm and coolness. She's beautiful. She's up there making everyone feel at ease.
'Whenever I get in front of a crowd, I feel like I've got to be like, Woooo! Like, excited, bringing the energy. Then I saw that coolness and that calmness and that relatability that she is so good at presenting. I really grabbed that. Like, Man, I can use that side of entertainment as well. It's not just always being the guy that brings the energy and creates these exciting moments.'

Taylor Swift's new album The Life of a Showgirl: Travis Kelce, Blake Lively, Max Markson
Like an anti-Victoria Beckham (noted hater of her husband's football career), Taylor Swift has appeared on her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast to discuss her upcoming 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl , to be released on October 3. If listening to meatheads blabber for two hours while the world's biggest star benevolently gives their viewership numbers an artificial bump isn't your idea of a good time, just know that Taylor gave us vital details around the new album. Here's our premature evaluation. Taylor Swift's new album The Life of a Showgirl is coming in October. Credit: AP The return of Taylor Swift, pure pop paragon Let's face it, The Life of a Showgirl is already on track to be Taylor Swift's third-best album thanks to two words: Max Martin. The Swedish pop supremo and his producing partner Shellback – who were responsible for the best bits on Swift's best albums, Reputation and 1989 (yes, in that order) – are the credited producers on every track on the new album, confirming what everyone suspected after Swift this week shared a Spotify playlist highlighting their biggest hits for her, from 22 to Wildest Dreams . On her boyfriend's podcast, Swift said she recorded the album in Sweden during the European leg of her Eras tour and promised 'bangers'. It proves that Taylor reads her own reviews. After the Matty Healy-yearning fizzer that was The Tortured Poets Department , the critical consensus was that her once-fruitful relationship with producer Jack Antonoff had run its course, stalled at mid-tempo moodiness, and that she needed a refresh. Returning to the glory of yore might seem a reductive move, but let's not forget that Max Martin doesn't sleep: his recent work on Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine and The Weeknd's Hurry Up Tomorrow – including the pre-album smash Dancing in the Flames – show he's still got the Swede-est touch. Doing it with a broken heart? The highlight of Taylor's Tortured Poets era – beyond proving she has great taste in men – was I Can Do it with a Broken Heart , the album's second single and longest-charting hit. Its success surely inspired Taylor's latest pop pivot. She added the song to her Eras tours last year, complete with a showgirl aesthetic: feathers, canes and Old Hollywood glamour, which led me to assume that Taylor loved Margot Robbie's Babylon . The Life of a Showgirl 's album cover – showing a sexy Swift near-drowning in a bathtub – seems to point to that song's ideas: the lonely grind behind the glamorous pop life. As do the album's typically evocative track titles, including The Fate of Ophelia , Elizabeth Taylor and Cancelled! . Bubblegum pop with a sour centre: it's the best flavour. But is it a head fake? On the podcast, Swift said the album was inspired by the 'infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life' during her Eras tour and Kelce courtship, and said 'that effervescence has come through on this record'. OK, so why are you drowning in a bathtub on the cover, surrounded by the font from Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette then?

Taylor Swift moved in with her father after his major heart surgery
Taylor Swift moved in with her dad, Scott Swift, after he underwent quintuple bypass surgery. The All Too Well singer has detailed her father's recovery from the major operation, which he underwent in June, and how she experienced "parent-child reversal" nursing him amid his recovery. Providing an update on her parent on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, she said: "So, he's been telling all his friends, 'you need to get the stress test because that's what's actually preventative.' If you can find that earlier, you don't have to have a bypass surgery. "You can sort out those blockages with stents and things that are a lot less invasive." Scott kept his sense of humour and was cracking jokes in his hospital bed after waking up from his op. Taylor recounted: "He wakes up from surgery, and it's my mom, my brother [Austin], and me and his best friend. He did like a comedy act, a comedy set for 15 minutes. He was the funniest he's ever been, and he's usually really funny." She continued: "And it was kind of wild because it was like, very parent-child reversal in a lot of ways. My brother and my mom and I were each taking shifts in the ICU and staying with him 24/7." The But Daddy I Love him singer's papa famously handed out guitar picks to fans on her Eras Tour, and in his sleepy state, he was trying to give them to the hospital staff. Taylor shared: "He came out of surgery, tried to give guitar picks to all the nurses and doctors, but he wasn't wearing pants, didn't have pockets, hospital gown, you know?" Taylor got to work ensuring her dad could shower and get around in a walker. She said: "I'm like, this dude built play sets and swing sets and cribs for me. I'm building his shower chair and his walker, and his bed that goes like this. "It's just surreal, man. You can't really walk on your own. We had a little harness for my dad, just like walking dad on his harness." She added: "And he was like the loveliest patient ever. He just kept saying thank you over and over again."

Taylor Swift reveals everything we need to know about her new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl'
Taylor Swift fans rejoice: We're getting a bedazzling pop album full of 'f***ing bangers'. The US megastar shed all the details about her forthcoming twelfth release, titled The Life of a Showgirl, on boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, revealing the album will officially lob on October 3. With an array of flashy, sexy imagery to accompany the release, Swift confirmed she was making a departure from her recent 'esoteric' music and venturing into her reinvigorated pop theatre era. Despite what the title of the album suggests, Swift said the music was actually less about being onstage, but a much more personal journey entirely reflective of her life 'behind the curtain' while embarking on the globetrotting Eras Tour. 'This [album cover] represents the end of my night,' Swift said. She continued, 'So when I'm on tour, I have the same day every single day. And my day ends with me in a bathtub, not in a bedazzled dress, but you know, we try to keep it decent. 'I wanted to glamorise all the different aspects of how that tour felt, and how it felt to be at the end of the night when all this has gone down, you won't be able to get to bed until 4am, you had to jump through 50 million hoops in this obstacle course that is your show, but you did it. 'And the reason I wanted to have an offstage moment as the main album cover is because it's not what happened to me onstage, it's about what I was going through offstage. This to me tells more of what the actual contents, lyrically, of the album are, which is the life of a showgirl.' Swift immediately ruled out any surprise songs beyond what's on the track list, saying there would only be 12 as part of the record. She co-produced the album with previous collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, who worked alongside Swift on a string of her earlier albums including Red and 1989. In a nutshell, Swift said, 'This is the record I've been wanting to make for a very long time. I love it that much.' 'It feels energetically how my life has felt, and this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant,' she said. 'My mentor Max Martin, Shellback and I … We've never made an album before where it's just the three of us. [The goal was to] make a focused album. It felt like catching lightning in a bottle.' Travis' brother Jason Kelce, who conducted the almost two-hour long podcast interview, yelped, 'F***ing bangers.' Nodding, Swift said, 'As you said, bangers.' She continued, 'We knew we had to bring the best ideas we've ever had. And I know how much pressure that puts on it, but I love it that much. I'm so proud of it. It just comes from that most infectiously, joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and that effervescence has come through.' Swift said the entire album was produced in Sweden, and while there was an emphasis on developing catchy melodies, all parties agreed the storytelling needed to be on par with that of her Grammy winning alt-folk album, folklore. 'My main goals were melodies that were so infectious, you're almost angry at it, and lyrics that are just as vivid but crisp and focused and completely intentional,' she said. 'We had a conversation about how Max was like, 'I loved folklore, I loved the storytelling, I don't want that to change just because we're making these infectious anthems.' 'And I was like, 'I couldn't if I tried. I'm married to that writing.'' Swift's last album released in April 2024, The Tortured Poet's Department, featured a whopping 31 songs. Where that was a 'data dump' of her feelings, Swift said she wanted The Life of a Showgirl to be laser-focused. 'I tend to love to write lots and lots of music, so it's a temptation to release lots of music,' she said. 'I wanted to do an album that was so focused on quality, and the theme and everything fitting together like a perfect puzzle. I feel like we achieved that. 'There's no other songs coming. There's twelve. Not thirteen. Twelve. 'Every single song is on this album for hundreds of reasons. And you couldn't take one out and it be the same album. It's just right. And that focus and discipline is something I've been wanting to do for a long time.' The song titles on The Life of a Showgirl are as follows: 1. The Fate of Ophelia 2. Elizabeth Taylor 3. Opalite 4. Father Figure 5. Eldest Daughter 6. Ruin the Friendship 7. Actually Romantic 8. Wi$h Li$t 9. Wood 10. Cancelled! 11. Honey
