
Chhattisgarh Couple's Bike Romance Video Goes Viral; Rider Arrested
A video from Chhattisgarh's Durg district showing a couple performing a 'filmy-style" stunt on a moving bike has gone viral, sparking outrage over traffic violations.
The clip, reportedly filmed in Bhilai Township's Sector 10, shows a young woman sitting on the petrol tank of a moving motorcycle, hugging the rider, as both flouted safety rules without wearing helmets. The footage appears to have been recorded from a car trailing the bike.

After the video spread online, Bhilai Nagar Police tracked down and arrested the rider, identified as Manish. Officials confirmed that legal proceedings under the Motor Vehicles Act have been initiated against him.
The case recalls a similar episode from June on the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, where a couple's love stunt on a bike went viral. The man was fined ₹53,500 for multiple traffic violations. Police have urged citizens not to endanger lives for social media stunts.

Man accused of attacking Delhi CM Gupta sent to 5 days police custody
Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) The man accused of attacking Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during a 'Jan Sunwai' programme at her Camp Office in Civil Lines on Wednesday has been sent to five days of police custody, court sources said. They said the accused, Sakriya Rajeshbhai Khimjibhai (41), was produced at the house of a magistrate in southwest Delhi's Dwarka late at night. The accused was not produced before any magistrate in the Tis Hazari court premises, sources said. Police have registered a case against the accused, a resident of Rajkot (Gujarat) under Section 109(1) (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He has also been booked for allegedly assaulting and obstructing public servant from discharging his duty. Gupta was attacked during a 'Jan Sunwai' programme at her Camp Office on Wednesday morning, around 8:15 am, her office said, terming the assault part of a 'well-planned conspiracy to kill her". The chief minister was attended by doctors and underwent MLC (medico legal case) examination, CMO officials said. Sources said that Khimjibhai came to Delhi two days ago and stayed in north Delhi's Civil Lines. Attack on CM Rekha Gupta carried out in planned manner: Kapil Mishra
New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Thursday alleged that the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was carried out in a 'planned manner" as part of a 'well-planned conspiracy", adding that the accused is a 'professional criminal" with a history of serious offences. He met Gupta at her residence on Wednesday morning. Following his meeting, Mishra said the chief minister had serious physical injuries and requires rest. However, he added that she has been seeing files since Wednesday at her residence. 'She has been actively working, but she requires rest. Her physical injuries are serious, and she is in a state of shock," Mishra told reporters. The minister claimed the accused has nine criminal cases registered against him, including charges of attempt to murder and smuggling. 'The attack was carried out in a planned manner. The accused had conducted a recce of her residence and two videos recovered from his phone prove this," he said.
