Video: Indian Army's Tanks, Mechanised Infantry Roll Out At Firing Range

The Indian Army's Trishakti Corps conducted an exercise at a field range to validate joint operations and combat in all kinds of terrain, among other capabilities.
Units involved included infantry, artillery, armoured, mechanised infantry, special forces, aviation, engineers and signals, the Trishakti Corps said in a post on X.
It said the exercise validated "jointness, tech-enabled warfare, rapid mobility and all-terrain operations."
A high-octane video posted by the Trishakti Corps showed tanks, armoured fighting vehicles, shoulder-fired anti-tank missiles, etc being used in the exercise held at Teesta Field Firing Range in West Bengal.
The Trishakti Corps is headquartered in Siliguri, located in what is known as the 'Chicken's Neck', the land that connects India's northeast region with the rest of the country.

A key highlight of the exercise was the deployment and validation of newly inducted next-generation weapon systems, military platforms, and advanced battlefield technologies, as a part of the Indian Army's emphasis on modernisation.
In addition, the exercise reinforced the army's ability to operate swiftly and effectively across varied terrain and adverse weather conditions.
Exercise Teesta Prahar also featured tactical drills, battle rehearsals, and adaptive manoeuvres aimed at refining responses to dynamic combat scenarios.

He added: 'The optics of two women soldiers presenting their findings is important, but optics must translate to reality on the ground, otherwise it's just hypocrisy." The posts triggered a massive row, with many calling out Mahmudabad for disrespecting the women. As the professor was arrested, and subsequently granted interim bail, his university found itself struggling to defend its stand on the issue. Now, in an internal e-mail to a former student, Bikhchandani said it is 'important to understand what is and what is not academic scholarship". 'You are a grown-up adult. You are responsible for your actions and any consequences thereof. Ashoka is not obliged to support you for political opinions you express in your personal capacity. "Punjab CM now opposing Indian Army": Delhi Minister Sirsa slams Bhagwant Mann's remarks on Operation Sindoor
New Delhi [India], June 4 (ANI): Reacting to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's controversial remarks on Operation Sindoor, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Tuesday strongly condemned the statement and accused Mann of disrespecting the Indian Army. Speaking with ANI, Sirsa said, 'From hating and opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he started opposing the Indian Army and now he has come to such an extent that he is using such abusive words against the sisters and daughters of the country... I could never imagine that a Chief Minister could give such a statement. I strongly condemn this.' Earlier on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stirred a controversy after he said that the BJP has turned 'Operation Sindoor' into a joke, asking whether this is a 'One nation, one husband' scheme. 'Did you not see the kind of fun made of Sindoor? What is this - one nation, one husband scheme?' CM Mann said. The statement drew swift and sharp criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu taking the lead in condemning the remarks. In a self-made video, Bittu said that the country will not forgive Bhagwant Mann for the words he has used. 'The statements show how cheap and vile things the Aam Aadmi Party and their Chief Minister can say. The NDA government at the Centre has defeated Pakistan, and you are not able to tolerate it. Will you say anything to show that you stand with Pakistan? The country will not forgive you for the words you used against PM Modi today,' he said. BJP leader Fatehjung Singh Bajwa also slammed the Punjab CM, calling his remarks 'shameful.' 'This is very shameful. On May 7, India launched Operation Sindoor as a decisive military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in which 26 people were killed. Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the death of over 100 terrorists affiliated with terror outfits like the Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. After India's strike on terror infrastructure, Pakistan responded with cross-border shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and the International Border, as well as attempted drone attacks targeting civilian areas along the border regions. In response, India neutralised Pakistani air defence apparatus, radar infrastructure, and communication centres, and inflicted heavy damage across 11 airbases in Pakistan. In New York, Khalistan backers heckle doctor who aided 2020-21 farm stir; Dr Swaiman says he is proud of Indian roots, Tricolour
Bathinda: Dr Swaiman Singh, who played a vital role during the 2020-21 farm stir on Delhi borders, was heckled by pro-Khalistan individuals at a gurdwara in New York on Sunday afternoon. The pro-Khalistan elements were angry because he displayed the Indian tricolour during the farmers' protest. The show of resentment came just days ahead of Sikhs across the world remembering those who were killed in Indian Army's Operation Bluestar at Golden Temple on June 6, 1984. Despite the opposition, Dr Swaiman stood his ground and delivered a speech for which he was invited by New York Sikh Cultural Society. A large congregation was held at the NY Sikh Cultural Society Gurdwara on Sunday afternoon (early hours of Monday in India). Dr Swaiman and former New York governor Andrew Mark Cuomo were invited by the society to deliver a lecture. Undeterred, Dr Swaiman delivered his response, challenging the group to open dialogue. Speaking to TOI over the phone from the US, Dr Swaiman said it was true that Sikhs living in various parts of the world were angry over the way their revered religious place was attacked by the govt in 1984, and how justice had not been delivered till now. "But, being an Indian, I have displayed the tricolour a number of times, and I am proud of it. Whatever happened in 1984 was an attack by a govt of a particular political party, it does not denote all of India. We may be angry with the govt or party, but not with India," he said. Dr Swaiman added he too had been branded a "Khalistani" in the past and this was not right. "ThzZ country should look into the grievances of Sikhs and deliver justice. But, just some people opposing me cannot undermine my commitment the people of my nation, where my team is regularly working," he added. The NY Sikh Cultural Society Gurdwara remains a vital community hub, fostering dialogue and cultural unity. "This incident highlights the need for constructive conversations to bridge divides within our communities," he said. Dr Swaiman's family belongs to Tarn Taran district in Punjab. During the farm struggle, his organisation, '5 Rivers Heart Association', held medical camps at the protest site to help the protesters.
