Jason Kelce's Taylor Swift intro will get you so pumped for 'New Heights'

It's Taylor Swift on New Heights Day, which feels like it should be a national holiday. The pop star cryptically left breadcrumbs about her appearance on the podcast of her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother on Monday, which culminated in her announcing the name of her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl." As is tradition for New Heights, the social team dropped a clip of Jason's iconic introduction for their guest before the podcast airs. Jason, dressed in a navy blue Eras Tour shirt that has Swift's face emblazoned on it, didn't disappoint for his introduction of the 14-time Grammy winner. Channeling his inner Chaucer (Paul Bettany) from A Knight's Tale, Jason rattled off Swift's laundry list of accomplishments for an impressive 65 seconds. "Our guest today is a singer, songwriter and producer and director," Jason opened with before hilariously editing her hometown from the listed Nashville. "That's [expletive], she is from Reading, Pennsylvania," he corrected as Travis and Swift laughed. He went on to breathlessly list her singing accolades, even surprising Swift with her own streaming stats for her The Tortured Poets Department album. After the intro, Swift thanked Jason for his efforts before getting in the most perfect dig as the Brads and Chads that might be upset she infiltrated their sacred football podcast space. It was a perfect introduction by Jason, even if it wore him out. The podcast drops at 7 PM ET. It's sure to be must-see.

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast is the No. 1 show on Apple Podcasts' chart, surpassing Joe Rogan's show. Newsweek reached out to Kelce and Rogan's representatives via email for comment on Wednesday. Why It Matters The Kansas City Chiefs star, 35, co-hosts New Heights alongside his brother, Jason Kelce. Last year, the siblings reportedly signed a $100 million deal with Wondery, a podcast streamer owned by Amazon. Rogan, 58, is one of the most popular global podcast hosts. His show, The Joe Rogan Experience, often tops Spotify's podcast charts. (L) Travis Kelce speaks onstage during Amazon Upfronts in New York City on May 12, 2025. (R) Joe Rogan does standup comedy in Pasadena, California, on July 1, Amazon; Michael Schwartz/WireImage What To Know On Tuesday, Kelce's girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, in a teaser video for her upcoming New Heights appearance. "So I wanted to show you something," she said, before pulling the blurred album out of a mint green and orange briefcase. "This is my brand new album The Life of a Showgirl." "TS 12!" Travis Kelce said, referring to the billionaire's 12th studio album, while Jason Kelce screamed. As of August 13, New Heights is No. 1 on Apple Podcasts' Top Shows Chart in the United States, followed by The New York Times' The Daily, Crime Junkie and Dateline NBC. The Joe Rogan Experience currently comes in at No. 5. However, on Spotify's Top Podcasts Chart in the U.S. for August 13, The Joe Rogan Experience is No. 1, and New Heights is not on the list at all. What People Are Saying Travis and Jason Kelce's dad, Ed Kelce, said on Australia's Today: "I knew nothing about this announcement, I knew at some point the boys wanted to get her on the podcast, I didn't know when it was coming up, though. I know Taylor's been working pretty hard since she stopped the tour, she's taken a few breaks to watch some football games, but she's been out in L.A. working on this album. And my guess is, although I haven't heard anything, my guess is it's going to be like everything else she does—it's going to be beautiful." English singer Jade responded to a fan on TikTok who said she should open the "life of a showgirl tour.": "Would love." Swift fan @fearlesskait, in a post on X with 2 million views and 36,000 likes: "The colour scheme is copper oxidizing because a showgirl is on a pedestal for the world and over time, in the public eye they lose their shine... the weathering from being the target for the world's misogyny. #TheLifeOfAShowgirl" What Happens Next Swift's New Heights episode airs Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET on platforms including the Wondery App, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube. New episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience are released weekly on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.

Taylor Swift Hilarious Roasts 'Male Sports Fans' in 'New Heights' Intro

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Jason and Travis Kelce have one of the most popular podcasts in the world, "New Heights." The show has only gotten more popular since Travis began dating pop superstar Taylor Swift, and now the most famous musician in the world is set to make her podcast debut on said podcast. More news: Vikings Confirm Rondale Moore Will Miss Entire 2025 Season In a moment that could quite literally break the internet, Swift will debut on "New Heights" when the new episode of the podcast drops on Wednesday at 7 pm EST. Ahead of the debut, the podcast has already dropped some huge moments from the episode. One is Swift showing off her new album to both Travis and Jason, and another is Jason nearly running out of breath while offering up a crazy introduction. IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING TAYLOR SWIFT. TONIGHT. 7PM ET. — New Heights (@newheightshow) August 13, 2025 Jason states during his introduction that Swift has 14 Grammy awards, the most awarded artist in the history of the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and iHeart Music Awards, and her newest album set the record for 1.7 billion streams globally in the first week. That fact was surprising to Swift, who stated, "Wow, really?" MoreMore news: Jon Gruden Wastes No Time Picking the Best Current NFL Quarterback Following Jason's crazy introduction, Swift took a chance to address the hilarious elephant in the room, and also lean into what "male sports fans" complained about when she began to attend football games. "As we all know. You guys have a lot of male sports fans that listen to your podcast, and um, I think we all know that if there's one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens, it's more of me," Swift quipped. If anyone happened to be on social media when Swift made her NFL game debut, the comments were filled with people questioning why the phenom was blasted across the telecast of any game she attended. When Swift and Travis' relationship began to blossom, she was even bringing other famed singers with her, like Ice Spice. Swift is clearly a global superstar, and her accolades are a mile long. Naturally, her appearance on her first podcast being "New Heights," might make the show explode even more. It will be interesting to see what Swift says regarding football. Travis has been very vocal about turning her into a football fan, and claims the global superstar knows a lot about the game. Travis also explained recently in a GQ cover story that Swift's workouts put him to shame. Either way, this should be an exciting episode, and the world is sure to tune in.
