Nora Fatehi opens up on making her Tamil debut with Kanchana 4: 'Every industry has its own flavor'
is all set for her Tamil debut as the female lead in Kanchana 4. One of the most anticipated movies, Kanchana 4 marks a special milestone for Nora, and she is thrilled to be part of it, especially since this is her first appearance in Tamil cinema.
She is enthusiastically embracing this new phase of her career.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Nora said, 'When Kanchana 4 was offered to me, I immediately felt it was the right project to step into Tamil cinema. The franchise already has such a strong legacy, and the script was so unique that I wanted to be part of it. I was also looking to do another comedy after the success of Madgaon Express.'
Although Nora isn't afraid to experiment, language has been a challenge.
'Of course, language is always a challenge, but I love challenges. This has definitely been the hardest so far, but I spend extra hours rehearsing,' she shared.
Having previously worked in both the Telugu and Malayalam industries, Nora reflected on the differences she has observed. 'Every industry has its own flavor. Tamil cinema is very rooted in storytelling, with a strong emphasis on performance and scripts. Bollywood, on the other hand, has its own larger-than-life energy.

Coolie worldwide box office collection day 7: Rajinikanth film beats Kantara, Brahmastra lifetime; sets sights on GOAT
Coolie worldwide box office collection: With each passing day, Rajinikanth's Coolie is surpassing the lifetime box office earnings of some recent hit or the other. On Wednesday, it was the turn of Brahmastra and Kantara, two of the highest-grossing Indian fantasy films of recent times. The Rajinikanth-starrer coasted past the lifetime hauls of these two films with ease, despite dwindling returns at the ticket window. Coolie worldwide box office collection: Rajinikanth's film has broken several box office records. Coolie worldwide box office update Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, began in emphatic fashion at the box office, earning over ₹350 crore worldwide in its four-day opening weekend. But the first Monday (day 5) saw a 65% drop in collections. And since then, the film has been steadily dropping, as is the case for most superstar-led mass action films. Despite that, the initial momentum has ensured that Coolie has earned ₹222.50 crore net ( ₹266 crore gross) in India. Internationally, the film has broken Tamil cinema records in many places. As per trade sources, it has earned an estimated $20 million ( ₹166 crore) overseas. This gives Coolie a worldwide gross of ₹432 crore after seven days. It is now looking to cross ₹450 crore, which it should in its second weekend. However, the ₹600-crore mark, which looked a certainty for Coolie at one point, looks like a distant dream now. Coolie's ₹432 crore global haul is now higher than Brahmastra Part One ( ₹431 crore) and Kantara ( ₹416 crore). The film had already crossed the lifetime earnings of Kamal Haasan's biggest hit - Vikram ( ₹414 crore). In its sights are now Vijay's The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), which has a reported global collection of around ₹450 crore. All about Coolie Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie stars Rajinikanth as a retired coolie embroiled in a gangster's activities once he tries to investigate his friend's mysterious death. The film also stars Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, and Sathyaraj. Aamir Khan makes his Tamil language debut in a cameo.

Vishwambhara release date: Megastar Chiranjeevi shares massive update on fantasy movie; fans react, ‘We will wait'
Megastar Chiranjeevi's upcoming Telugu fantasy action film, Vishwambhara, has received a major update. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor and Ashika Ranganath. It was first announced in 2023 as 'Mega 156' on Chiranjeevi's birthday. A video shared on Twitter (now X) by Team Megastar shows Chiranjeevi addressing the delay. The movie was initially set for a January 2025 release, but this plan has now changed. The Telugu movie star has confirmed the release for summer 2026. According to him, the film is heavy on VFX, which requires time and detail to maintain quality. The teaser will be released at 6:06 PM on August 21, 2025, ahead of Chiranjeevi's birthday celebrations. The film's scale has been compared to other high-profile VFX projects, adding to its hype. UV Creations, known for notable Telugu movie hits like Bahubali 2: The Conclusion and Saaho, aims to set new standards with this production. One social media user commented, 'Megastar Chiranjeevi Sir's upcoming film Vishwambhar will be full of drama, action and visual effects. This film will set new records of success at the box office. We will wait for 2026 when this film will be released in theatres.' The film Vishwambhara was first rumoured to be a sequel to Chiranjeevi's 1990 hit Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. Vyjayanthi Movies quickly clarified that they alone held the rights to that classic, warning against any unauthorised production. Director Vassishta later stated that his film was an original story, not linked to the earlier one. Huge sets were built at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Nearly 70% of the movie relied on visual effects to highlight spiritual themes. In early 2024, Chiranjeevi joined the shoot after some scenes had been filmed without him. Overseas rights were reportedly sold to Sarigama Cinemas for ₹ 18 crore. With Asin and Anushka unavailable, Trisha Krishnan was cast, marking her Telugu comeback after eight years. Filming covered Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Ramoji Film City, with elaborate action and song sequences. A Hanuman statue was erected for an interval scene. Chiranjeevi also completed the longest stunt sequence of his career, lasting twenty-six days.
