Georgia's rap community is in shock after Tevin Hood, widely known by his stage name T-Hood, was fatally shot at his home in Snellville. According to reports from
TMZ
, the incident unfolded following an apparent dispute in the neighbourhood.
Gwinnett County police have confirmed they are investigating the case as a homicide, though the motive remains unclear.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported the 33-year-old to a local hospital, but he could not survive his injuries. Authorities have detained one individual for questioning in connection with the shooting.
Family denies party was underway
One has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is being interviewed by the police.
T-Hood's mother, Yulanda, confirmed to the outlet that her son was shot at the residence, where he lived. She also denied that a party was going on at the time.
Well-known in the Southern rap scene, T-Hood's musical credits include songs like 'Ready 2 Go,' 'Big Booty,' 'No Secret,' and 'Perculator.'
He also received the Trendsetter of the Year award at the Black Only Awards 2025. Just last week, the 33-year-old was active on Instagram, sharing a lighthearted video, which has since been filled with heartfelt condolences and prayers from fans and supporters.

CBI busts call centre racket in Igatpuri resort
Mumbai: CBI busted an illegal call centre racket operating from a rented premise at a resort in Igatpuri on Friday, arresting five Mumbai-based individuals and recovering Rs 1.2 crore in unaccounted cash, 500 gm of gold and seven luxury cars collectively worth Rs 1 crore. The accused duped their victims by introducing themselves as a customer care centre of an e-commerce website. The arrested individuals — Vishal Yadav, Shebaz, Durgesh, Abhay Raj alias Raja, and Sameer alias Kalia-Sohail, targeted US and Canadian citizens by posing as policemen and committing cyber fraud. They had recruited 62 people to work in the call centre. During the search, CBI recovered 44 laptops, 71 mobile phones and other incriminating digital evidence for examination and found transactions amounting to around 5,000 USDT cryptocurrency (Rs 5 lakhs) and 2,000 Canadian dollar worth gift vouchers (Rs 1.3 lakh). CBI registered a fraud case against the accused individuals, alleging that the accused committed financial fraud by impersonation, making phishing calls posing as illegal Amazon Support Services Call Centre. Illegal wildlife trade busted from Crawford Market, man arrested
Navi Mumbai: A joint operation by the Wildlife Department Thane, Forest Department Thane, Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB), Patrol Squads Thane, along with Wildlife Mumbai and the Wildlife Welfare Association, seized 226 protected animals from Crawford Market, Mumbai, on Aug 8. The authorities confiscated 10 Alexandrine Parrots, 112 Ringneck Rose-ringed Parakeets (11 of which were found dead), 67 Indian Star Turtles, 10 Indian Tent Turtles, 16 Indian Roofed Turtles, 10 Indian I Turtles, and one Indian Softshell. During the operation, the squad arrested Mukhtar Shaikh from Gala number 51 of Mahatma Phule Mandi, Crawford Market. Another accused, Rajan Khan, fled the scene and is currently the target of a manhunt. In May this year, Rajan Khan and co-accused Monu Khan were arrested from the same location with four star turtles during a previous raid but were later granted bail, said Shilpa Shigwan, Range Forest Officer. The illegal trade was conducted under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, with cases registered under sections 9, 39, 48, 48A, 49A (a), 49B, and 51(1).
