Indiana Fever dominate Chicago Sky minus Caitlin Clark, back to .500
Indiana Fever dominate Chicago Sky minus Caitlin Clark, back to .500 Thanks to a well-rounded road effort, the Indiana Fever are back to .500. Indiana (4-4) dominated the Chicago Sky (2-5) and Angel Reese on Saturday night, 77-52, as Fever guard Caitlin Clark missed her fourth straight game. It's now consecutive wins for Indiana minus Clark after they had dropped their first two minus the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year. Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell led the way with a game-high 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting with five rebounds, a pair of assists and one steal. Indiana forward Natasha Howard registered her fourth double-figure scoring contest of the season with 13 points. Fever forward Aliyah Boston finished with 11 points, five rebounds, five assists and one block. It was Boston's seventh game scoring in double figures. Recent emergency hardship signing Aari McDonald continued her impressive play since joining the club. After scoring seven points, assisting five times and coming away with three steals in her Fever debut during Indiana's 85-76 win over Washington on Tuesday, McDonald had another strong performance in the win over the Sky. The 5-foot-6 guard scored 12 points and knocked down a trio of 3-pointers against Chicago. McDonald also came away with four steals, two assists and one board. Indiana shot 45.8% from the field and 40.7% from beyond the arc as the Fever connected on 11 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Chicago shot just 32.7% from the field and 20.0% from the 3-point line. Reese finished with only four points on a 2-of-7 shooting night. The former LSU star grabbed 12 rebounds. The Fever are now 2-0 in Commissioner's Cup play. Kamilla Cardoso and Rebecca Allen led Chicago with eight points apiece. Indiana returns to action on Tuesday at Atlanta (5-3) from Gateway Center at 6:30 p.m. CT. The two teams have split the season's first two meetings with Atlanta winning in Indiana on May 20, 91-90, and the Fever winning at Atlanta on May 22, 81-76. Clark will be reevaluated on June 9 and could possibly return at Atlanta. "I feel like I've made a lot of progress and I feel good, and I'm not going to rush coming back. It's just not worth it. But after this weekend, I'll be reevaluated and we'll have a better idea of when I'll return," Clark said on Thursday. 5-star TE has a message for the country after USC football commitment
The post 5-star TE has a message for the country after USC football commitment appeared first on ClutchPoints. The USC football team landed a massive commitment on Friday as five-star tight end Mark Bowman announced that he will play for Lincoln Riley and the Trojans. USC is recruiting at an absurd level as they now have 27 commitments already. There is still a lot of time for USC to bring in even more commits, and Bowman is already working hard to make that happen. Advertisement 'Come join the family,' Mark Bowman said, according to a post from Hayes Fawcett. 'We are taking over the city! All of the talent that's here, we gotta bring it to USC. Mark Bowman's commitment is a big one for the USC football team. Bowman is a five-star recruit, according to 247Sports. He is the #16 player in the 2026 class, the #1 TE and the #4 TE in the country. Bowman currently attends Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA. 'Bowman recently re-classified from the '27 class in to the class of '26,' Bowman's scouting report reads. 'Has a chance to finish as the highest rated tight end to come out of California in at least the last decade and has been drawing Brock Bowers comparisons since his freshman year. After seeing him in action the last two seasons, the comparison's look valid. At 6-4, 225 pounds, Bowman moves around like a receiver with a ton of twitch and change of direction.' Bowman is expected to be an immediate impact player for the USC football team, and he will probably go to the NFL as soon as possible. Advertisement 'Has great hands and shows the ability to make plays down the field,' the scouting report continues. 'Can get vertical and runs well after the catch. Already an advanced route runner and a dominant run blocker who shows the ability to take an opposing linebacker or defensive back off the field. Has a rare combination of size, skill, athleticism and toughness and is one of the few players you can study and really struggle to find a discernible weakness in his game. Assuming he stays healthy, it will be a surprise if Bowman isn't an immediate impact player and potential three and out college player.' The USC football team has had the #1 recruiting class in the country for a while now, and this commitment from Mark Bowman solidifies that. The Trojans haven't been meeting expectations in recent years on the field, but they are recruiting at an elite level right now. USC just needs to put it all together.

5-star Michigan football target sets commitment date
The post 5-star Michigan football target sets commitment date appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Michigan football team is hoping to land a commitment from one its top offensive targets, and it won't be long before we hear a decision. Five-star wide receiver Calvin Russell is down to eight schools, and he will announce his commitment on July 5th. Advertisement 'BREAKING: Elite 2026 WR Calvin Russell will announce his Commitment July 5th between these 8 Schools, he tells me for @On3Recruits,' Hayes Fawcett said in a post. 'The 6'5 195 WR from Opa Locka, FL is ranked as the No. 4 WR in the '26 Class (per On3 Industry).' Calvin Russell will choose between Michigan, Miami, Oregon, Florida State, Florida, LSU, North Carolina and Syracuse. Russell is a five-star recruit, according to 247Sports. He is the #21 player in the 2026 class, the #3 WR and the #2 player in the state of Florida. Russell currently attends Northwestern High School in Miami, FL. The Hurricanes will be a tough team for Michigan to beat here. 'Hulking wide receiver with above-the-rim athleticism that makes him a uniquely dangerous target, especially down in the red zone,' Russell's scouting report reads. 'Owns more of a slender build, but has measured over 6-foot-5 multiple times and is blessed with a near 6-foot-10 wingspan. Isn't exactly the most polished route runner at this stage, but creates separation with unexpected suddenness for such a longer strider. Superb body control tends to create even more of a disadvantage for defensive backs as he wins 50-50 battles with timing and positioning.' Advertisement If Michigan does land a commitment from Russell, there is a chance that he plays basketball for the Wolverines as well. 'Not going to outrun every tackle, but is quick to hit the gas and can make some dynamic cuts in traffic,' the scouting report continues. 'Spent much of freshman and sophomore seasons repping as a run first-quarterback out of necessity before settling in as a must-look option in Year 3 for a storied Miami Northwestern program that captured a 3A championship. Will need to add some body armour to a rather wiry frame in hopes of improving play strength and buy into the process at the school of his choice, but should be viewed as a potential impact pass catcher for a College Football Playoff contender that can be positioned all around the field in hopes of creating mismatches. One of those good-at-everything athletes that could legitimately play two spots in college as he's also being recruited by basketball high majors.' Calvin Russell is one of the best WRs in the 2026 class, and the Michigan football team needs WRs. This would be a massive get.
