Pakistan: (3 wins, 6 points, NRR: +0.856)
The hosts are in a relatively strong position with three wins from as many outings, boasting six points in hand already. They had comprehensive wins against Scotland and Ireland by 38 runs and 6 wickets respectively and most recently sealed a 65 run victory over West Indies.
Pakistan have been bolstered by various players stepping up during key moments from their three outings so far at the Qualifier.
They will face Thailand and Bangladesh in their final fixtures, and another win will put them in a strong position to make it to the Women's World Cup in India later this year.

Bangladesh: (2 wins, 4 points, NRR: +1.899)
Bangladesh have two wins from as many outings - against Thailand and Ireland by 178 runs and 2 wickets respectively. The mammoth win over Thailand gave a big boost to their Net Run Rate (NRR), meaning they occupy the second spot in the Qualifier standings after the Pakistan-West Indies game.
However, their path will take them through tough opponents in West Indies, Scotland and Pakistan in their remaining fixtures.
Two wins from their remaining three games would all but guarantee their qualification, while even one win could suffice, if other results go their way, and NRR comes into play.
Bangladesh record statement win over Thailand | Match Highlights | WCWCQ 2025
Bangladesh beat Thailand by a massive margin of 178 runs in their opening match of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025.
Scotland: (2 wins, 1 loss, 4 points, NRR: +0.448)
Scotland also have four points already under their belt. In their three outings so far, a stunning win over the West Indies in an absolute thriller by 11 runs, and a 58-run triumph over Thailand has put them in good stead.
A loss to Pakistan is the only blemish so far in a rather successful qualifying campaign until now. However, with fixtures against Bangladesh and Ireland to come the Scots have a task on their hands to make it to the Women's Cricket World Cup.
They will have to win both of their coming fixtures to ensure their fate lies in their hands. A loss in either of the remaining fixtures is likely to bring in the NRR into play.

West Indies: (1 win, 2 losses, 2 points, NRR: -0.526)
The winners of the previous edition of the tournament, the Windies had a shaky start to the Qualifiers tournament as Scotland staged an upset.
While Hayley Matthews managed to rally her troops to a nail-biting win over Ireland, another loss at the hands of Pakistan leaves them in a tough spot.
Facing Bangladesh and Thailand in their remaining two fixtures, West Indies will need to win both of them to ensure a chance to qualify for the main event in India later this year. A lacklustre NRR could also make it required to win all of their remaining games to stand a chance.

Ireland: (0 wins, 3 losses, 0 points, NRR: -0.417)
Ireland have had a forgettable tournament so far, with three three straight losses at the hands of Pakistan, West Indies and Bangladesh.
Despite playing some impressive cricket, the Irish haven't been able to earn a point yet with narrow losses against Bangladesh (2 wickets) and West Indies (6 runs), and are out of contention for a World Cup spot.
Even a win in their remaining two fixtures against Scotland and Thailand won't be enough to see them through.
Ireland halt Matthews charge | WCWCQ 2025
Orla Prendergast pulls off a brilliant catch off her own bowling to dismiss Hayley Matthews in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025.
Thailand (0 wins, 2 losses, NRR: -2.360)
Thailand set out to make history to qualify for their first-ever One Day Women's World Cup. However, two losses in their first two fixtures have made it a difficult proposition for them.
Losses against Bangladesh and Scotland have put them in a rather tough situation, with a 178 run defeat against the former putting a massive dent in their NRR.
Facing the West Indies, Pakistan and Ireland in their remaining three fixtures, Thailand will face a stern test to keep their hopes alive for a qualification spot. India refuse to play against Pakistan in World Championship of Legends: ESPNcricinfo
Amid simmering political tensions, an Indian cricket team featuring retired stars pulled out of their semifinal match against Pakistan in the World Championship of Legends, according to a report on ESPNcricinfo. The Yuvraj Singh-led India Champions, who had also refused to play against the Shoaib Malik-led Pakistan Champions in the group stage of the tournament, were scheduled to take on their arch-rivals in the first semifinal at Birmingham on Thursday. Pakistan will progress to the final of the eight-team tournament after India's decision to pull out of the match. This decision comes just days after the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced that India's cricket board will host the 2025 Asia Cup in the UAE. The marquee clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 14. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has faced a massive backlash following the announcement as opposition leaders have called for a boycott of the match. The relations between India and Pakistan have deteriorated sharply following the deadly April 22 terror attack at Pahalgam in the Indian-administered Kashmir. India blamed Pakistan for the attack — an allegation strongly rejected by the Pakistan government — which killed 26 civilians. What followed was a four-day military conflict between the two nuclear-armed South Asian neighbours in May before a ceasefire was announced.

Zimbabwe's Taylor to return after corruption and drugs ban
Zimbabwe batsman Brendan Taylor has been added to his country's Test squad after serving a three-and-a-half year ban, Zimbabwe Cricket announced on Wednesday. The announcement was made during the first day of play in the first Test between Zimbabwe and New Zealand at Queens Sports Club. He will be available for the second Test, starting at the same venue on August 7. "I certainly did think it was all done, but here I am –- and it's an overwhelming feeling of gratitude," said Taylor, 39. "The last year and a half has certainly been dedicated to my return. I've put in an immense amount of work -– from fitness to the technical side to diet –- and I'm feeling a lot leaner, fitter and mentally stronger. "That's only been possible through sobriety." Taylor was found guilty in January 2022 of four charges under the International Cricket Council's (ICC) anti-corruption code and separately for failing a drugs test. Taylor admitted to travelling to India in 2019 and meeting an unknown individual who paid him $15,000. He initially claimed the money was an appearance fee but later admitted that he was paid following discussions about match fixing, which he said he had no intention of carrying out. He reported his contact with the individual to the ICC in March 2020 but did not mention discussions about corruption. He also deleted all communications with the individual. He tested positive for a cocaine metabolite in September 2021. Before the ban, Taylor was one of Zimbabwe's leading batsmen and racked up 2,320 runs in 34 Tests. He has also played in 205 one-day internationals and 45 Twenty20 internationals. Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Givemore Makoni welcomed Taylor's return. "Brendan has endured an incredibly difficult chapter in his life and shown genuine remorse, coupled with a powerful determination to make things right -- not just for himself but for the good of the game in Zimbabwe," said Makoni.

England to host Ireland in three-match ODI series in 2026
While Ireland are not part of this year's ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India and Sri Lanka , they are hoping to use the series against England in 2026 to help their push of qualifying for the 2029 event. "It is good to be able to announce these International Women's Championship ODI fixture dates so early as it helps the team plan the rest of their summer in 2026," Ireland director of cricket Richard Holdsworth said. "These are significantly important matches as they are part of the 2029 ODI World Cup qualification structure. We are also pleased to be based in the Midlands and happy that all venues are so close to each other."
