Encroachers target old panchayat layouts in Hyd; 64 complaints filed in a day
2
Hyderabad: Old gram panchayat layouts on the outskirts of Hyderabad are increasingly falling prey to land encroachments, with 64 complaints filed in a single day via Hydra Prajavani, the city's public grievance platform.
Over 60% of these complaints related to the illegal occupation of plots in older layouts, many dating back decades, where roads and parks have allegedly been converted into private or agricultural land.
Complainants reported that encroachers are using Dharani passbooks to claim ownership and obstruct access for legitimate plot holders. In numerous instances, they are demolishing park boundaries and internal roads to extend their control over the land.
Hydra Commissioner AV Ranganath reviewed several cases using Google Maps and instructed officials to conduct ground inspections. "Unless a layout is officially revised, its original roads and parks remain legally protected. We will examine each case and act after hearing both parties," he stated.
Key complaints included — Korremula, Ghatkesar (Rangareddy) wherein 47 acres within a 1987 layout were allegedly encroached upon using Dharani passbooks, despite prior court orders.

Another pertained to Peddamberpet, Abdullapurmet wherein the main road in a 500-plot layout was blocked following the renaming of the layout, cutting off access to the highway.
Similarly in Reddy Enclave, Alwal, 667 square yards of designated park land were encroached upon, even beneath high-tension power lines. Court orders in the matter were ignored. And in Asifnagar, Mehdipatnam–Mallepally Road, around 3,800 square yards of dargah land were illegally occupied. Illegal construction continues despite notices issued by the GHMC.
In Hayathnagar, the only park area in a 1966 layout was encroached upon and residents are calling for the protection of the 3,620 square yards of open space

'I don't speak on legal s**t': Fanum responds to Duke Dennis' arrest situation
Image via: Fanum/Twitch The gaming and streaming community has been filled with chatter since this weekend's Arrest of Twitch star Duke Dennis in San Antonio, Texas. Now hardly has AMP affiliate and streamer Roberto "Fanum" broke silence over the situation and then clarified his stance of going far away from the legal mess. The Arrest That Sparked the Internet Duke Dennis, being the stage name, really means Denzel Shaquille Dennis. He was arrested on Saturday, August 2, at the Shops at Rivercenter mall. According to reports, the 31-year-old had been involved in a hide-and-seek game with his friends, Kai Cenat among them, when mall security allegedly approached the group and asked them to leave due to complaints received about their behaviors. When the police arrived at about 10 p.m., they claimed that the group continued to disrupt and that Dennis refused to heed warnings asking him to leave. He was named in a charge of criminal trespassing and evading arrest. Some online videos show Dennis handcuffed on the mall floor while Kai Cenat films from an upper level. Duke Dennis Arrested! Kai Cenat's Wild Mall Hide-and-Seek Chaos in San Antonio Dennis was released on August 3 after posting a $1,000 bond for each charge. Fanum Speaks Out but Carefully Fans have been waiting for AMP members to issue any statements ever since the news came out. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo On August 4, during a livestream, Fanum briefly alluded to the matter but hastened to say that he wouldn't really get into the legal specifics. "Word, chat, it's definitely... see, I don't speak on legal s**t, bro, ever. You know what I'm saying? I let the... whenever the person was involved in whatever situation, which is not really a situation at all, to be honest. You know what I'm saying? Word, chat, it's nothing crazy." His tone probably indicated confidence in that the situation had been blown out of proportion and that Dennis hadn't really done anything serious. Support Without the Speculation Although he decided not to delve into any details, this is a typical stance of creators in the midst of legal controversies to provide support without feeding the speculation online. His position also points to AMP standing by Dennis as the legal matters proceed. As it stands, no formal statements have been issued whatsoever from both Dennis and Kai Cenat regarding their arrest. However, the AMP fanbase continues to support the group, awaiting further information. One of the questions this incident raises is where the line is drawn with content creation, especially in public spaces. In an environment where streamers try pushing the envelope to entertain their fans, Duke Dennis' arrest may well be the wake-up call of legal considerations to respect when making viral content. Putin's alleged daughter Elizaveta Krivonogikh condemns Russian president, signals support for Ukraine
Elizaveta Krivonogikh , the 22-year-old woman widely believed to be the youngest daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has posted critical messages online condemning the man she says 'destroyed' her life and was responsible for taking 'millions of lives.' Krivonogikh, now living in Paris, shared the remarks on a private Telegram channel named 'Art of Luiza,' a reference to her artistic pseudonym Luiza Rozova. In the post, she wrote, 'It's liberating to be able to show my face to the world again.' She added, 'It reminds me of who I am and who destroyed my life.' Her identity first emerged in a 2020 investigation by the Russian media outlet Proekt , which reported on her 'phenomenal resemblance' to Putin. She was born in 2003 to Svetlana Krivonogikh, a woman identified as a former housekeeper for Putin. While Putin is not named on her birth certificate, she was given the patronymic 'Vladimirovna,' meaning 'daughter of Vladimir.' Artist shifts toward anti-war message amid continued criticism Live Events Following initial media attention, Krivonogikh's lifestyle, documented on Instagram and characterized by luxury, was spotlighted by Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in 2021. After Russia's invasion of Ukraine later that year, her public presence diminished, and her Instagram account was deactivated. She has since returned to the platform but initially withheld her identity in photos. Krivonogikh now appears to be distancing herself from her past, working at a Paris art gallery focused on anti-war pieces. She has also adopted a new pseudonym, Elizaveta Rudnova, reportedly referencing Oleg Rudnov, a deceased ally of President Putin. While she has been outspoken in her condemnation of the war in Ukraine, some critics question her authenticity and argue she should not be in positions where she may interact with Ukrainians. In response, Krivonogikh wrote, 'Am I really responsible for the activities of my family, who can't even hear me?' In earlier posts, she reflected on her former lifestyle, expressing disillusionment with the wealth and notoriety that came from her family connections. Her public statements now reflect a shift toward advocacy and personal independence.
