The Hisense CanvasTV is a solid alternative to the Samsung Frame lineup and much less expensive, even when it's not on sale. Tap into Hisense's Art Mode to exhibit high-quality prints and photos on your TV or showcase your own photos and videos for guests.
The CanvasTC also delivers remarkable picture quality and has a native 144Hz refresh rate. It's a great set for watching both SDR and HDR content in a well-lit room, though we wouldn't recommend placing lamps close to the screen.
Other noteworthy features include a 2.0.2 audio system and Samsung's Tizen OS for access to apps, games, and hundreds of free live TV channels.
TCL 65-inch A300W NXTFRAME — $900

On equal footing with Hisense's CanvasTV, the TCL's boutique art exhibition set is called the NXTFRAME. According to TCL, the NXTFRAME sits only 1.1 inches off the wall when using the provided flush mount. We're also glad to see that the NXTFRAME comes with options for both a white and a light wood finish.
Art capabilities include TCL's Art Library, an AI Art feature, as well as the ability to upload your own photos and videos. The TCL NXTFRAME is also a great QLED TV for watching movies and playing video games. Similar to the CanvasTV, the NXTFRAME should also do a nice job at fighting glare and reflections, thanks to its ultra matte anti-glare screen.
Save on both the Hisense 65-inch CanvasTV and TCL 65-inch NXTFRAME when you purchase today. We also recommend taking a look at our lists of the best TCL TV deals, best QLED TV deals, and best TV deals for even more discounts on top TV brands.

iPhone 17 Air tipped to make 3 big compromises vs iPhone 17 Pro — here's what you're giving up

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Like Samsung and its Galaxy S25 Edge, Apple will reportedly chase a thinner phone design when it releases the much-rumored iPhone 17 Air later this fall. A likely replacement for the iPhone 16 Plus, the Air could deliver a thinner phone to the iPhone 17 lineup, but not without making a few key compromises. That's what regular leaker Fixed Focus Digital claims in a Weibo post, anyway. The leaker says that the iPhone 17 Air will be very similar to the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, but with three big sacrifices in the name of a thinner phone. 'It has almost all the configurations of the Pro, but it cuts one core in the GPU part, and the screen and battery are not as good as the Pro,' Fixed Focus Digital wrote in the machine-translated post, adding that they were 'quite optimistic' about the iPhone 17 Air. What this means is that the iPhone 17 Air will still feature an A19 Pro chipset, as we expect to see in the Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, but that it will have five GPU cores instead of the six found in the Pro models' chipset. The Air would still be more powerful than the standard iPhone 17, which is supposed to have a standard A19 processor. Battery & screen sacrifices Fixed Focus doesn't specify, but they also mentioned that the screen and battery are supposed to be steps back from what the iPhone 16 Plus offers.. Current rumors have the iPhone 17 Air featuring a 6.6-inch OLED display, a skosh smaller than the iPhone 16 Plus' 6.7-inch panel. The same leaker previously claimed that the Air would have a 120Hz screen but not a ProMotion display, so it won't have a variable refresh rate. A thinner phone usually means a smaller capacity battery — that's one of the compromises Samsung had to make with the Galaxy S25 Edge. But Apple may go even smaller with the iPhone 17 Air's power pack as reports claim the phone will either feature a 2,800 mAh battery or a 2,900 mAh cell. Either outcome would be smaller than the 3,900 mAh battery in the S25 Edge. The iPhone 16 Pro was able to fit a larger 3,582 mAh battery in the phone. We haven't seen many rumors on battery size for the iPhone 17 Pro, but it could rely on better power efficiency to get more life out of the battery. That's not all Even compared to the standard iPhone 17, the Air model is expected to have a more limited camera setup. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the Air will only feature a single 48MP rear lens, and leaked renders of the iPhone 17 Air seem to bear that rumor out In contrast, the standard iPhone 17 should have the same 48MP primary lens and a 12MP ultrawide as the iPhone 16. Meanwhile, the Pro models could feature an upgraded 48MP telephoto lens in their rear camera array. Add it all up and it feels like the iPhone 17 Air is making a lot of major compromises to reach a very specific aesthetic over actual performance. Even so, Fixed Focus Digital believes the phone will be a hit, so it will be interesting to see how people respond to iPhone 17 Air when it arrives. That could be very soon as the iPhone 17 series is likely to launch in September — just a few weeks from now. iPhone 17 Air — here's where Apple can succeed where Samsung failed

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Samsung intended to start a revolution when it launched the Galaxy S25 Edge not long ago, but the reality is that the phone turned out to be underwhelming. I've been using it for more than two months now, and given my experience with the ultra-thin phone, Apple certainly has the opportunity to steal its thunder with the iPhone 17 Air. It's one of the many new iPhones tipped for reveal at an upcoming rumored Apple September event. The iPhone 17 Air could end up being the most compelling model the company introduces in years. I've been keeping tabs on all the rumors and leaks, so while it's unlikely we'll see dramatic changes between now and its reveal, there are still ways Apple could make it a more compelling thin phone. I know there are areas where we could see compromises, but I'll explain how the iPhone 17 Air could still succeed where the Galaxy S25 Edge failed. Here's how. A single rear camera that just works Since I'm a camera guy, I'm most interested in the cameras rumored to accompany the iPhone 17 Air — or should I say, camera? While I'm a bit forgiving about Apple's decision to give the iPhone 16e a single rear camera, it feels wrong to do it with the iPhone 17 Air. So far, the rumors suggest that it will have a single 48MP camera on the back, which isn't appetizing when you're used to a triple camera setup. This might be an area where I could say the Galaxy S25 Edge is better than the iPhone 17 Air, but Apple can still surprise us. That's because I need to just look back at my 200 photo shootout between the iPhone 16e and Pixel 9a, like the side-by-side shot above. Even though the iPhone 16e narrowly lost, it did impress me for its strong telephoto and dynamic range performances. It's proof of Apple's excellent image processing with its iPhones, so it could do the same for the iPhone 17 Air. Another thing worth pointing out is all the leaked images and renders of the iPhone 17 Air. The back of the phone shows a prominent camera bar that spans one side to the other, which could lead me to suspect that there could be a larger sensor in there — perhaps the same one for the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. If so, that would give it more leverage. The only thing it would lack is an ultrawide, but I wouldn't mind keeping it to just a single camera if its field of view ends up being a smidge wider. Thin phone doesn't have to mean shorter battery life There's no denying that the iPhone 17 Air is going to be a remarkable feat of engineering for a modern device. So far, it looks like it's going to be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge with rumors of it being as thin as 5.5mm. In comparison, the S25 Edge measures in at 5.8mm. As I've noted in my Galaxy S25 Edge review, the biggest compromise to designing a thin phone is that battery life is dramatically impacted. A thinner phone means less room for a battery, subsequently resulting in a much shorter battery life. However, Apple could squash any battery drain concerns with the iPhone 17 Air — by looking at what the current iOS 26 beta offers. Apple's latest iPhone software has a ton of features, but one that's overlooked is the new adaptive power mode. I suspect this could be the answer to addressing any anxiety about its battery endurance, by dynamically adjusting the phone's performance to get more juice out of the battery. Plus, I think the A19 Pro chip rumored to power the iPhone 17 Air would be power efficient enough to hopefully make it last longer than the standard iPhone 17. Higher price point doesn't mean paying more I'm hoping that the iPhone 17 Air ends up taking the same $899 price point that the current iPhone 16 Plus holds in Apple's lineup. However, I'm not as optimistic about that given the price of the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy Z Fold 7. There are rumors that the iPhone 17 Air could end up being even more costly than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Hopefully, that's not true because it would have an even tougher time convincing people (myself included). Realistically, Apple could fit the Air in between the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max — which would put it at $1,099, assuming Apple maintains its pricing structure from before. This would put it in direct competition with the Galaxy S25 Edge, but a higher price point still wouldn't make it a dealbreaker. Even though I'm all about the best cheap phones, I would be shocked if there aren't deals for the iPhone 17 Air at launch to bring down its price. Nearly every major carrier will offer some kind of deal because that's been their standard procedure with every major phone release. Take the iPhone 16 Pro Max last year when it dropped down in price to a penny less than a month after its launch. Sure, you'll have to sign off on some sort of phone plan, but the end result was getting a new iPhone on the cheap. This could happen for the iPhone 17 Air, so I'm not too worried about a higher price point. It would only really affect those buying the phone outright. Samsung Galaxy S25 AI features — here's everything that's new

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. The much-anticipated AI features of Samsung's Galaxy S25 series unveiled during Samsung Unpacked yesterday (January 22) are set to redefine the smartphone experience. Boasting a suite of advanced AI features powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the latest phones offer enhanced AI assistance and improved visual search, building on the features Samsung introduced a year ago. Designed to naturally and seamlessly integrate into daily life, enhancements such as Cross App Actions allow users to execute tasks without having to open multiple apps. At the same time, Samsung is promising interactions that more intuitive and personalized with Galaxy AI. Some of the AI tools Samsung showed off at Unpacked are baked into the One UI 7 software that runs on the Galaxy S25 and is coming to other Samsung flagships via a software update. Other features look to be specific to the S25 models — we'll find out more as we get to spend more time with the new devices and dive into each feature. Wait, does it work on all apps or just Samsung ones? The AI assistant, a combination of Google Gemini, Bixby and Galaxy AI, can be found in Samsung's native apps as well as third-party apps like WhatsApp and Spotify. We'll get into some specific examples in just a second, but in general, Samsung claims it will work across most apps, although some may require updates. Here's what we know about Galaxy AI so far I liked being able to ask the assistant to find almost anything from easy weeknight dinner recipes to the best beaches in Aruba. It instantly organizes the links in my Notes app. The AI feels like having a helpful (and very fast) assistant in my pocket. Here's more of what you can do with it. Now Brief: Personalized daily summaries One of the standout One UI 7 features is Now Brief, an AI-driven tool that provides users with personalized summaries according to their preferences. For example, in the morning, users can check their daily schedules and get energy scores from their Samsung wearables. Commuters can use Now Brief to utilize Google Maps to save their preferred locations and music. At the end of the day, the feature recaps your daily activities and can curate special moments with a photo collage. Cross App Actions Samsung has deepened its collaboration with Google's Gemini AI, enabling more sophisticated interactions with the AI assistant across supported apps. For example, users can now instruct Gemini to analyze on-screen content, such as summarizing a YouTube video and saving the key points directly into Samsung Notes. Another popular example shared by Samsung featured looking up information about a place and sharing the results with a friend via text while also getting directions to the location. If you're wondering if the AI assistants on the S25 are integrated into all apps or just Samsung's apps, just know that it's continually being expanded. While these AI assistants integrate into all of the native apps on the S25, only two third party apps offer support: WhatsApp and Spotify. Call transcripts and summaries One UI 7 brings call recording along with a transcription feature to save you the trouble of having to jot down notes. Even better, you can use AI to generate a summary of the call for quick reference. There's support for 20 languages for on-device translations, making it easier to communicate in spite of any language barriers. Personal Data Engine Samsung also touted the Personal Data Engine that's now a part of the Galaxy S25. It's built to delivers hyper-personalized user experiences while also ensuring full privacy and security. The feature analyzes user data to deliver highly tailored experiences that reflect personal preferences and usage patterns, then applies them across multiple apps to ensure the most personal experience possible. From the way Samsung describes, the Personal Data Engine will learn from how you use your phone. Say you frequently connect to Bluetooth when you get in your car — going forward, you'll get prompts asking if you want to turn on Bluetooth as you get in your car. Improved visual search The Circle to Search feature that arrived a year ago has been refined to enhance visual searches. By circling any part of the screen, users can prompt the AI to provide detailed information about the selected content. This function now extends to video content, allowing users to identify and learn more about elements within videos, to enrich the viewing Select empowers users to extract specific segments from videos, text, even QR codes. By simply drawing a circle around the desired content, users can select want they want to save, share, or search. Users can even create high-quality GIFs effortlessly with this same integrations streamline multitasking and information management, making it easier to capture and organize content across different apps. One UI 7's AI integration AI advancements are seamlessly integrated into One UI 7, which should lead to more natural and intuitive interaction with AI. Essentially, the AI intuitively understands the context of your needs and preferences to provide more thorough personalization. The updated interface introduces the Now Bar, a feature that provides quick access to essential information directly from the lock screen, such as live activities like music playback and timers. This design ensures that users can interact with key functions without the need to unlock their devices, enhancing convenience and efficiency. Natural language search One of the most practical applications of AI is the ability to use natural language for searches, which is something Apple Intelligence has already integrated into its devices. Now, Samsung is following suit by introducing natural language search for both photos and device settings. This means you can now use conversational prompts like, "Show me photos from my trip to Italy two years ago," or "Make the text on my screen easier to read," and quickly get the results you need. While Apple's Photos app supports this functionality, Google Photos has long been ahead of the curve with a far more advanced photo search engine, delivering highly accurate results based on your queries. If Samsung adopts a similar approach by leveraging Google's Gemini AI, its natural language search could surpass Apple's and provide users with a more robust and efficient experience. Audio Eraser The Audio Eraser allows users to isolate specific audio, such as a piano performance, by eliminating background noise. Powered by Galaxy AI, it can recognize and separate sounds from various sources, including voices, music, wind, nature, crowds, and general noise. Users can then fine-tune and adjust the volume to achieve their preferred audio output. Writing and Drawing Assist The Galaxy S25 series also introduces enhanced AI-powered tools to elevate your creative experience. Writing Assist now offers features such as content summarization and text formatting, enabling you to compose superior content with AI support. Drawing Assist brings your ideas to life by allowing you to create refined drawings using various prompts, including text, images, and sketches. Is the AI assistant on the S25 integrated into all apps or just Samsung's apps? Galaxy AI outlook The Samsung Galaxy S25 series represents a significant leap forward in smartphone AI capabilities. By focusing on personalized assistance, seamless integration, and intuitive interactions, Samsung aims to offer a device that not only meets but anticipates the needs of its AI continues to evolve, the Galaxy S25 series positions itself at the forefront of this technological advancement, setting new standards for what users can expect from their smartphones.
