Jenna Bush Hager Mistakenly Says Al Roker 'Made Out' With Her Grandma

While the 43-year-old—whose parents are and —shared the news that her late grandmother Barbara Bush was being honored with a commemorative stamp during the June 10 episode of Today, she accidentally insinuated that her co-host may have had a special relationship with the former First Lady.
'Remember when you made out with her, Al?' Jenna asked the 70-year-old weatherman as he, , and all looked at her with confusion on their faces. 'Didn't you kiss her?'
Within moments, Jenna realized that she was mistaking Al—who shares kids Courtney, 37, Leila, 26, and Nick, 22, with wife Deborah Roberts—for former Today weatherman .
'That was Willard,' she noted, to which Al quipped, 'That was Willard, other bald weather guy.'
But after Jenna apologized for the confusion, Al admitted that it wasn't all that far-fetched.

'It was awkward on so many levels, so many levels,' he said of the moment Jenna said his name. 'I'm thinking, 'Did I make out with her grandmother?''
With a laugh, he added, 'Not that I wouldn't have!'
As for why Willard had shared a smooch with Jenna's late grandmother in the first place? Well, during the 1989 Inaugural Parade, then-President waved at the late weatherman—who passed away in 2021 at 87 years old—as he walked past. But for her part, Barbara rushed over to plant a quick kiss on his lips.

And three years after Barbara passed away in 2018, Jenna deemed the memorable kiss 'one of her life highlights.'
"That was on the lips,' Jenna said of the unexpected moment during a September 2021 episode of Today. 'My grandpa might've been jealous.'
"I emailed somebody that worked with her and she said, 'You know, they just really liked each other,'" she continued of her grandmother. "They said there was some sort of chemistry there where she said, 'I feel like they were flirting,' and obviously we have the proof."

Olivia Leedham—who shares son Kaden, 11, with the former Teen Mom star—lost her younger daughter Lailah after the child visited the emergency room several times without a diagnosis, a friend of the family said in a GoFundMe statement. She was just 7 years old. 'Our friend Olivia Leedham tragically lost her beautiful seven-year-old daughter, Lailah Price, yesterday,' the message read. 'While in the hospital Friday night, she had a seizure and passed away early Saturday morning, June 7th. We have been friends with this family for many years. Olivia grew up in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and attended Greencastle schools.' After splitting from Olivia, Teen Mom star David married Jenelle Evans in 2017 before the couple separated in 2024. The former couple shares daughter Ensley, 8, who Jenelle currently has full custody of, as they continue to finalize their divorce. This Morning viewers have called for 'more' Steph McGovern after the presenter made an appearance on her former rival programme. The 43-year-old got her break in the media world when she became a main producer for the Today programme's daily financial news on BBC Radio 4. Going on to produce BBC One's Six and Ten O'Clock news, Steph began appearing on camera in 2011 as BBC Breakfast's main business presenter. The show originally launched as The Steph Show in March 2020 and had to be broadcast from the presenter's house due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It returned later that summer under the new name of Steph's Packed Lunch. Broadcast from Leeds, the series featured showbiz interviews, cooking segments, news, and consumer advice. When it premiered, the series began airing at 12.30 pm, going head to head with ITV's panel show Loose Women.
