WASHINGTON () — Plans are underway for Saturday's massive military parade celebrating the Army's 250th birthday, an event that is set to bring over 200,000 people to the National Mall. It also coincides with President Trump's 79th birthday. The parade will start at 6:30 pm Saturday and go along Constitution Avenue from 23rd Street to 15th Street NW. 'I didn't think it was something we did, but I guess we're doing it,' said one passerby. Sothy Da, a mom of two children in the military, says it's a source of pride for her. 'I'm just so happy. and I'm so proud of the military,' she said. However, others are completely against it. 'I don't think it should be happening at all,' said Darren, who did not want to share his last name. 'This is stupid, I think. I can't believe that people are sleeping now.
