The actress, 40, hosted the finale of the late-night comedy sketch series' milestone season 50, marking her seventh time as host, which made her the female star to have hosted SNL the most times.
Before the finale, Johansson had hosted six times, the same amount as both Tina Fey and Drew Barrymore.
The Jurassic World Rebirth star served as host for the first time in January 2006. Subsequent hosting gigs came in April 2007, November 2010, May 2015, March 2017 and December 2019, and she has made cameos numerous times throughout the years.
The male star with the most hosting gigs under his belt is Alec Baldwin, who has lent his talents as host 17 times throughout SNL's history.

During her opening monologue, Johansson broke into an SNL-themed parody of Billy Joel's "Piano Man" with help from various cast members, including Bowen Yang, Sarah Sherman, Mikey Day and Chloe Fineman.
Elsewhere during the show, Johansson starred in a variety of sketches, including one in which she played a local news anchor, and another where she portrayed a moderator who interviews the cast of a popular TV show.

Bad Bunny appeared as the musical guest for the season 50 finale. During his first musical performance, the musician, 31, performed "Nuevayol."
He later returned to the stage to sing "Perfumito Nuevo" with RaiNao. Both tracks are from his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos (I Should Have Taken More Photos).
SNL's season 50 premiered in September 2024, with Jean Smart as host and Jelly Roll as musical guest. Other notable hosts this season included Ariana Grande, Michael Keaton, John Mulaney, Chris Rock, Paul Mescal, Martin Short, Mikey Madison, Jack Black, Jon Hamm and more.
Some notable musical guests this season included Coldplay, Stevie Nicks, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, Morgan Wallen and Lizzo.

Towns had a solid run in the postseason. While he struggled at times, he still finished scoring in double-figures in all of the six Indiana games. He never scored less than 20 points in the series. Knicks fans hope that the club can build a championship roster around Towns and guard Jalen Brunson. 'You watch Jalen from afar in the West, and then you see what he's done for the city,' Towns said, per ESPN. 'It's even more crazy in person. I don't say it lightly: It's a blessing and an honor that I get to play with Jalen Brunson.' Towns finished his first campaign in New York averaging 24.4 points per game, as well as 12.8 rebounds.

Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders voted on Tuesday to reject the pay packages for several of the company's executives, including CEO David Zaslav's compensation package of more than $50 million. Nearly 60% of the symbolic vote was against the 2024 executive payouts at Warner Bros. Discovery's annual meeting, according to a regulatory filing. The vote is non-binding. Last year, shareholders narrowly approved executive pay, with 53% voting in favor. Warner Bros. Discovery is the parent company of CNN. Zaslav, who has been CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery since 2022, when the company was created by the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery, Inc., was paid a total of $51.9 million last year, including equity awards and other compensation. Warner Bros. Discovery's stock (WBD) declined 7% in 2024, while media competitor Netflix (NFLX) saw its stock gain more than 80% in 2024 and Disney's stock (DIS) rose 24%.
