Hulk Hogan's devastated ex-wife says she is 'melting down' after death of WWE legend
The Hulkster passed away on Thursday at age 73, with reaction coming from around the world to one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all time.
Quiet has been his family members, with estranged daughter Brooke Hogan yet to make a public statement on Hulk's passing. Now, Linda, who was married to Hogan from 1983 to 2009, has spoken out.
Linda commented on her own post from the previous week, with a photo of her and Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, during the prime of Hulkamania.
'I had no idea he would pass away this soon,' Linda said. 'We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It's hitting me so hard.'
'I loved Hulkster more than he loved me. It hurt when he cheated. But he was sooo famous. I sort of (understood) but it was crushing. It hurt. I (never) got over him or started a real relationship (with) anyone.. I missed HIM! I've been weeping all day. The finality. It's just shocking. We spent every minute together for so many years.'
'I've known him since he was 28 (years) old! I was 22. I still love him. Even (though) I never spoke or saw him, (son) Nick did.. and Nick would tell me things and vice versa. Just news about life.'
'I still felt.. although broken.. we still were a family. It's so hard to know he's just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick.. but I'm melting down now. It's very sad. I love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP.'
Hogan's estranged son-in-law, former NHL star Steve Oleksy, has also broken his silence on his father-in-law's passing on social media on Tuesday, less than a week after his death.
Oleksy, who is spent known for his stints with the Washington Capitals and rival Pittsburgh Penguins, married Brooke in 2022.
'My wife and I have not released any official statement about the death of my father in law,' Oleksy said on Instagram, with a photo of the trio as the background.
'We are grieving and processing privately and ask for the respect to do so. If you see or hear something it did not come from us. There are many disturbing AI videos circulating that do not represent our family, feelings, or opinions. Thank you very much for the love, support, and understanding.'

To see the past become present is a horror. Never Again. Again." Some, though, showed the Londoner their support, thanking her for bringing the horrors to the attention of social media users. One person posted: "Thank for speaking out about the actual horrors going on." Another said: "Thank you for your bravery in speaking out against the treatment of the starving hostages." It was another emotional post from the star, famed for tunes such as Domino and Price Tag, following ones about her health battle.
