Surrey continue to set the pace in the women's T20 Blast as punishing batting by England's Danni Wyatt-Hodge ushered them to a comfortable nine-wicket win over Durham at The Oval.
After restricting the visitors to 141-5, they made it four wins out of four by reaching 143-1 with 43 balls to spare, Wyatt-Hodge hitting the winning boundary to finish with 74 not out from just 36 balls.

In Sunday's other game, Lancashire Thunder picked up only their second win in five matches as Tara Norris made an unbeaten 33 and took 3-25 to help them beat Bears by five runs.
Chasing a target of 163, the home side needed 14 off the final over at Edgbaston, but could only muster eight, with Natasha Wraith finishing on 57 not out from 36 deliveries, the highest score of the match.
Match scorecards
The game against Surrey began badly for Durham, who saw both openers bowled inside the first five overs - Suzie Bates and Mady Villiers both dismissed by Ryana MacDonald-Gay.
From 29-3, Hollie Armitage led a revival, adding 40 with Bess Heath (27) and 38 with Mia Rogers, and although she went to 50 off 49 balls in the last over and Katherine Fraser hit the final ball of the innings for six, their score did not look enough.

So it proved as Wyatt-Hodge and Bryony Smith matched each other shot for shot in bringing up a 50 partnership in the fourth over.
Wyatt-Hodge launched Katie Levick over mid-wicket for a maximum, the first of two sixes in her innings to go with 11 fours, but the stand came to an end on 94 when Smith was caught in the deep off Phoebe Turner for 44 from 28 balls.
Replacement Kira Chathli opened her account with a six and made an unbeaten 19 from 13 before Wyatt-Hodge ended the game by cutting Bates to the point boundary.
Bears come up short despite Wraith knock
Emma Lamb was back in the Lancashire side against the Bears following England duty but it was not a happy return as she was bowled through the gate for five by Issy Wong in the first over.

They struggled to 31-4, batting in a steady drizzle, before a 69-run partnership between Ailsa Lister and Australian Alana King which ended when the former was lbw for 36 as she tried to sweep Hannah Baker.
King made 21 before hitting Millie Taylor (2-25) to deep mid-wicket but Norris lofted a six over mid-off as she steered Thunder to 162-7.
Bears made a positive start in reply as Davina Perrin made a rapid 34 before being bowled by one from Grace Johnson which kept low.
Charis Pavely contributed 27 but they were losing momentum at 101-6 in the 14th over when Wong was bowled by Norris as she tried to make room to force the ball through the off side.

Wraith, though, kept them in the game, clearing the ropes and hitting four fours as she reached 50 from just 29 balls, but wickets continued to fall at the other end and she lost the strike midway through the last over as Thunder squeezed home.
"We have had a couple of tough ones in the last couple of games, so to get a win on the board is brilliant and we are right back in the mixer," Lancashire skipper Ellie Threlkeld said.

Rasmus Hojlund remains adamant as AC Milan set deadline

Following a dismal campaign in which he netted only four times in the Premier League, Manchester United were forced to try and bring in a quality replacement for Rasmus Hojlund. INEOS splashed the cash to land Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, and Ruben Amorim opted to keep Hojlund on the bench against Fiorentina, a clear message regarding his future. The club have subsequently informed the 22-year-old to find a new club for himself even though he is hellbent on staying and fighting for his place. AC Milan are reportedly in pole position, having already agreed on a loan fee, but the Dane is yet to give his green light for the move. That has not impressed the Serie A giants. AC Milan unhappy with Rasmus Hojlund This dilly-dallying has allowed four other Serie A clubs as well as Newcastle to enter the race. Igli Tare, Milan's sporting director, has refused to admit defeat, and is in England hoping to wrap up the move. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport have now informed that the sporting director is losing his patience due to the Denmark international's stubborn stance. The ex-Atalanta ace feels, despite Sesko's arrival, he will still have chances to shine, and is desperate to prove his critics wrong after two underwhelming seasons in Manchester. As a result, the Rossoneri will wait for another week, and should the Denmark international not change his mind, they will move onto other targets. 'AC Milan is ready to close in on a loan deal with an option to buy, but the striker's agreement is still pending. 'Hojlund is a stubborn man. He's convinced he can have his chances in Manchester despite the competition. He wants to redeem himself after two so-so years with a trophy won—the 2024 FA Cup—and another lost in the final (last year's Conference League). Dane confident of making his mark 'Tare flew to England to try and secure the striker's approval, but he won't wait forever. A week at most, no more, then he'll focus on one of his other targets: Vlahovic, Jackson, and Gonçalo Ramos. 'Hojlund doesn't want to leave Manchester out of pure pride. He appreciates AC Milan's attention, loves Italy and Serie A, as well as his family. But he's convinced he can still make his mark. Furthermore, he'd prefer a permanent transfer rather than a loan with an option to buy.' INEOS are looking to conduct player sales, and with the money raised, they plan to go after Carlos Baleba and another goalkeeper. Hojlund's stance, while admirable, will not help the co-owners one bit. As things stand, this saga is likely to continue until late in the window. Man City Willing to Replace Ederson With £26M-Rated Chelsea, Man Utd Target Amid PSG Doubt

Gianluigi Donnarumma's future at PSG looks uncertain after the club signed Lucas Chevalier. With that move, Donnarumma will likely need to find a new long-term team, and rumors are linking him to Manchester United. CentreDevils recently reported that Manchester United have held direct talks about signing Donnarumma. The 26-year-old keeper is reportedly a target for Ruben Amorim, who is said to be a big fan. The report notes that Donnarumma's experience and talent could be a key addition at Old Trafford as Amorim works on rebuilding the squad this summer. Journalist Ben Jacobs also shared that PSG is asking for £26 million, with Donnarumma having just one year left on his contract after the club decided not to offer an extension. Does Man City have the edge for PSG outcast? On Tuesday, RMC Sport's Fabrice Hawkins reported that Manchester City will monitor Donnarumma if Ederson leaves the club. Negotiations are ongoing with the goalkeeper's side, and personal terms won't be an issue as Donnarumma is keen on the move. Meanwhile, RMC Sport reported Monday that Chelsea and Manchester United have inquired about Donnarumma's situation. But this case is far from settled; for now, it is just a simple expression of interest from the two English clubs. On the latest episode of the Ensemble PSG Podcast, Robin Bairner, chief editor at Football Transfers, commented on the rumor linking Donnarumma to Manchester United. 'Well, our understanding at Football Transfers is that Manchester United are naturally interested in a goalkeeper,' Bairner said. 'Andre Onana hasn't been up to the standard that they had expected when they signed him. So naturally, Manchester United step into this equation. Whether Gianluigi Donnarumma is prepared to go to United, where they don't have European football this year, of course, that's debatable. 'And of course, there's a whole heap of sales that Manchester United are likely to have to make now to be able to afford to sign Donnarumma because of financial fair play. They've obviously made three big signings now, having announced Sesko. So there are complications there.'

Concord Rangers suffer away defeat at Tilbury

Concord Rangers' losing start to the 2025/26 season continued with a 2-0 defeat at Tilbury. Both sides were reduced to ten men with former Beach Boy Jimmy Wallace getting sent off against his former club for a second bookable offence in the first half for Tilbury, before Chelmsford City loanee Kai Torres also saw red for Concord for an elbow in the second half. Concord were on top for large periods and had the better chances, but they were the masters of their own downfall, conceding twice in the space of a minute with substitutes Nathan Best and Kieran Jones scoring near identical goals in quick succession to earn Tilbury a first three points of the campaign. Concord had the first chance of the game with Bobby Kelman getting in behind, but his lobbed attempt went way off target. After 20 minutes, a crucial goal-line clearance was required from Tilbury to stop the visitors from opening the scoring. Sherquan Toussaint played the ball down the line for Khris Oti, whose cross was played back to Toussaint and his shot was blocked on the line by Luke Reeve - which, despite the appeals of the Concord players, was not given as a handball from the Dockers defender by the referee. Just past the half hour, Concord would have a key referee decision go in their favour with the home side being reduced to ten men. After Rangers had cleared an Oli Spooner free kick, the Beach Boys looked to break on the counter-attack with Oti, but he was brought down by a sliding challenge from behind by former Concord man Wallace, who was given his second yellow card of the evening. Concord almost made the man advantage count on the stroke of half time, with Sammy Collins' side being frustrated by another goal-line intervention. Torres teed up Kelman with a disguised pass, and he beat Harry Fairs to the ball, poking it across to Harrison Day whose back heel was stabbed off the line by Spooner. The second half was inactive until 20 minutes from time when Concord were also reduced to ten men. After Torres and a Tilbury player tussled for the ball following the awarding of a free kick, the Concord full back lashed out with an elbow to the face that resulted in him becoming the second player of the evening to receive an early bath. This was also the second red card that Rangers have received this season, with Ricky Modeste too being sent off in an FA Cup tie against Harpenden Town earlier this month. Despite this setback, it was Concord who had the next couple of chances with Toussaint sending a drilled shot agonisingly wide of the far corner and Day's mistimed header from Liam Jones' free kick sailing over. These missed chances would prove costly for Concord, with Tilbury striking two quick-fire goals to steal the three points. Straight after coming off the bench, Best was played in behind and the striker slid the ball beneath Concord 'keeper Jacob Marsden and in with his first touch of the game. The Dockers then doubled their lead straight after kick-off, with Concord giving away possession cheaply straight to Jones, who ran through on goal and beat Marsden. This being the second season in a row in which the midfielder had scored against Concord, having also been on target in the Dockers' 2-0 win against the Beach Boys at Chadfields in January. A first win of the campaign sees Tilbury move up to eighth with Marc Harrison's team now eight games unbeaten at home, a record that stretches back to February. A second loss of the season for Concord means they are now winless in ten games in all competitions, with their last victory coming back in March.
