During his visit to the Mahua constituent assembly of Bihar on Thursday, Tej Pratap's supporters were seen holding — not an RJD flag – but a green-and-yellow flag with 'Team Tej Pratap Yadav' written on it, Dainik Jagran-prakashan-share-price-nse-bse-s0003650" data-vars-anchor-text="Jagran" data-vars-link-type="Auto" data-vars-page-type="story">Jagran and India Today reported.

Tej Pratap Yadav inspected a medical college, met locals and even held a rally in Mahua on Thursday. The former RJD leader was an MLA from Mahua in 2015 and from Hasanpur in 2020.
While speaking to reporters in Mahua, Tej Pratap was asked if he will contest the 2025 Bihar Election from Mahua.
He responded: "If the public here demands, I will have to contest."
The former RJD leader didn't specify the constituency from which he wants to contest Bihar elections. "It depends on the public," he said.
"I am someone who comes from the people, and I will do as they wish. If the public wants me to contest elections, I will; if not, I won't," Tej Pratap said.
"The constituency I contest from will depend on the people's demand. Whether I contest on a party ticket or not is a matter to be decided later...," Tej Pratap added.
Tej Pratap's latest move has sparked rumours in the political circles, with many speculating whether he would launch a new political party or contest the upcoming Bihar Elections as an independent candidate.
Tej Pratap's visit to Mahua was the first after RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled him from both his family and the party over a serious breach of moral and social values.
Tej Pratap became embroiled in controversy following a post claiming he was in a long-term relationship with a woman. The post prompted netizens to recall his marital dispute that made headlines a few years ago.
Tej Pratap Yadav later took to X to claim that his social media accounts were compromised and his photos had been maliciously edited.
Yadav had tied the knot with Aishwarya, granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Rai. However, within a few months, Aishwarya left his house alleging that she was driven out by her husband and in-laws. The couple's divorce petition is pending before the family court.
The development came ahead of Assembly elections in Bihar that is slated for polls later this year.

Despite facing sustained criticism from Opposition parties over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bihar, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has reported that it has not received a single complaint from political parties regarding claims and objections to the draft electoral roll. However, voters submitted 23,557 claims and objections for inclusion or exclusion in the draft rolls. According to the ECI's daily bulletin on April 14 covering the period from August 1 (3 P.M.) to August 14 (9 A.M), political parties had appointed as many as 1,60,813 Booth Level Agents (BLAs). The list includes Rashtriya Janata Dal (47,506), Bharatiya Janata Party (53,338), Janata Dal (United) (36,550) and Indian National Congress (17,549) BLAs among others. None of the parties, especially the Opposition has submitted any claims and objections. However, individual electors submitted 23,557 claims and objections for inclusion or exclusion in the draft rolls, of which 741 have already been disposed after the mandatory verification period. Additionally, 87,966 applications were received from new voters aged 18 and above, including six submitted through BLAs. The ECI clarified that under existing rules, claims and objections are handled by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) after a seven-day verification period. Importantly, no name can be deleted from the draft rolls published on August 1 without a formal 'speaking order' following due enquiry and providing the concerned individual an opportunity to be heard. The absence of formal complaints by political parties stands in sharp contrast to the repeated public allegations by Opposition parties accusing the poll panel of bias and procedural lapses in voter roll management. Data indicate that while parties are actively engaging in the claims and objections process, they are not formally contesting the integrity or fairness of the exercise before the ECI.

Tejashwi Yadav claims Muzaffarpur mayor, NDA MP possess two EPIC numbers
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday alleged that Muzaffarpur Mayor Nirmala Devi and ruling National Democratic Alliance MP Veena Devi possess two Electoral Photo Identity Card numbers each in Bihar. Yadav alleged that Nirmala Devi, a Bharatiya Janata Party leader, had two EPIC numbers in the Muzaffarpur Assembly constituency. 'Her two different EPIC cards list two different ages,' he claimed on social media. The leader of the Opposition in the Assembly also claimed that the mayor had filled two enumeration forms during the special intensive revision of Bihar's electoral roll. 'She must have signed two different forms with two different signatures,' the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader alleged, claiming that the Election Commission had verified that the mayor herself signed two different forms. The Opposition leader also alleged that Nirmala Devi's two brother-in-laws, Manoj Kumar and Dilip Kumar, held two EPIC cards each. 'This means they too must have filled out two different forms in the SIR and provided two different signatures,' he said. This implied that the Election Commission was facilitating the creation of several fake votes for BJP supporters within a single household, Yadav alleged. 'She [the mayor] is a potential BJP candidate from Muzaffarpur, so is the Election Commission helping her by creating fake votes in her favour?' he added. Hours later, the Election Commission had on Sunday issued a notice to Sinha. The BJP leader was asked to reply to the notice by Thursday. Yadav had claimed that one of the numbers linked to Sinha was in the Lakhi Sarai Assembly seat and the other in the Bankipur constituency. Responding to Yadav's claims, Sinha said that he had applied earlier for his name to be removed from Bankipur, but it had not been deleted. He presented documents showing that he had applied for his name to be deleted from the voter roll in Bankipur. The revision of the electoral rolls in Bihar was announced by the Election Commission on June 24. As part of the exercise, persons whose names were not on the 2003 voter list needed to submit proof of eligibility to vote. The draft roll was published on August 1 as part of the special revision ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls expected to take place in October or November. It showed that more than 65 lakh names had been deleted from the list. The list will be revised by September after the Election Commission assesses objections and claims about the exclusion and inclusion of voters in the draft roll. After the Bihar election, he will become a voter of some other states and will keep casting votes for the BJP candidates.' Yadav also alleged that the Hindutva party was earlier using the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department as tools to trouble Opposition parties.
