ITV Emmerdale fans rumble Bear's heartbreaking story ahead of soap 'exit'
Emmerdale viewers think they have 'worked out' Bear Wolf's upcoming devastating storyline as he goes missing from the village.
Emmerdale fans are convinced they have Bear Wolf's upcoming storyline figured out, and it's devastating. Fans of the ITV soap are set to become concerned about Bear in upcoming scenes.
A newly emerging storyline will see him go awol and temporarily leave the village behind. The new sad and mysterious storyline has had Emmerdale viewers racking their brains about what will come next.
Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw said recently: "Other stuff that's coming up this summer and kind of into the summer and autumn, the character of Bear, we've got a big storyline coming up for him, he's going to go off-screen for a little while.
"He'll go missing and when he comes back what you'll see is a very different Bear in a really different situation and we're all going to be watching and going: 'What the hell has happened here?' So that's going to be really exciting!"
Fans took to social media following Tuesday's episode, convinced that they've figured out Bear's mysterious storyline after a pivotal scene on the programme, as reported by Leicestershire Live.
During Tuesday's episode earlier this week, Bear arrived home to shocking scenes as he found his son Paddy Kirk and daughter-in-law Mandy Dingle in an embrace. "Next time I'll knock should I?," Bear announced, visibly left uncomfortable at what he had stumbled in on.
Paddy then dropped the bombshell that the pair are now renting the property from Liam Cavanagh, who had moved out. However Bear didn't take the news well, as he lamented the fact it was their "own little love nest", declaring: "Who needs me hanging around?" before storming out.
Taking to social media, one person said: "Poor old Bear, I guess we know what his big storyline is about now." Responding in the comments section, viewers were quick to share their theories as another said: "He will either have cancer or dementia I reckon."
Someone else chimed: "I reckon he's got some sort of cancer and is hiding it", another wrote: "Think bear is lonely" while a different account added: "I think prostate cancer maybe?"
Elsewhere in the world of soaps, Coronation Street and Emmerdale will join forces in a one-off special episode to launch ITV's new power hour of soap which begins in January 2026.
For the first time in British soap history, the hour-long episode will see characters from both soaps come together in a celebration of the soap genre.
Corrie and Emmerdale's production teams will join forces for an ambitious stunt that will have everlasting consequences for everyone involved.

The Royal wedding was a significant event, attracting thousands to Windsor in the UK to witness the union of Harry and Meghan. The guest list boasted British royalty, aristocracy, celebrities and Meghan's co-stars from the Netflix series Suits. Priced at $419 (£312) on eBay, the listing provides a detailed look at the contents, which include documents for the guests and advice on bringing forms of identification. An order of service from the day and wristbands for the guest to wear are also included. Including water bottle, shortbread biscuits, magnet, badge, chocolate coin, gift bag, postcard and associated literature." Meghan, the brains behind the trendy lifestyle brand As Ever, has sent her followers into a tizzy by revealing a restock of her immensely popular items which had previously sold out in a snap after their April debut, reports the Mirror US. The former actress who launched her latest venture in conjunction with her Netflix series, has now made an announcement that fans have another chance to snag her much-coveted wares. Taking to Instagram Stories, Meghan excitedly informed her devotees that she and her team have been hard at work replenishing stock. This comes as a surprise shift from her prior thought not to restock or introduce new offerings till 2026. Her post read, "So much love has gone into I can't wait to share it with you this Friday, June 20th!". She also spilled the beans in a newsletter to her loyal customers about the return of the beloved brand, penning her gratitude: "First off, a sincere thank you for making the debut of As ever absolutely extraordinary. We had a feeling there would be excitement, but to see everything sell out in less than an hour was an amazing surprise. We are pleased to share that on June 20th, we're going live with the products you love – plus, some new delicious surprises.'". This joyous update comes hot on the heels of Meghan's candid revelations on her podcast, 'Confessions of a Female Founder', where she opened up about the trials and tribulations of establishing her brand and the private 'tears' she's shed along the way. She expressed, "So for me at the moment, with As Ever, it was great. We planned for a year we get and then everything sells out in 45 minutes. Yes, amazing, great news. Then what do you do? And then you say 'Ok, we planned as best as we could. Are we going to replenish and sell out again in an hour? Or is that annoying as a customer?" "I'm looking at it saying 'Just pause. That happened. Let's wait until we are completely stable and we have everything we need.''".

Welsh speakers develop Celtic connections in exchange
The Celtic Exchange programme, developed by the British-Irish Council, united young creative professionals to learn new media skills and co-create multilingual content. They also explored their common cultural roots. As part of the programme, participants travelled through the Western Isles, meeting filmmakers, content creators, and musicians, to learn how these ancient languages are part of their modern creative work. They discovered more about the similarities between their languages and cultures, building a network to develop ideas and multilingual content in the future. Ifan Prys, who works at Rondo Media and took part in the exchange, said: 'The trip was a unique opportunity to meet other Celtic language content creators, to share ideas and strengthen the networks between the linguistic communities. 'The programme was full of varied and rich activities. We had the opportunity to network with MG ALBA and BBC Alba and with local producers, discussing our opportunities, challenges and ambitions. 'The opportunity to learn, share and inspire alongside creative people from diverse linguistic backgrounds was invaluable. It has really reinforced the importance of continuing to work creatively in our languages.' Bethan Campbell from Boom Cymru was inspired by collaborating with fellow Celts. "The trip to Scotland was a very special experience," she said. "The activities were valuable and very diverse." The young creatives gained hands-on experience by producing multilingual content, which premiered at the 2025 Celtic Media Festival in Newquay, Cornwall. Welsh language secretary, Mark Drakeford, said: "The Celtic Exchange programme celebrates our living languages and supports young people to build creative careers using their indigenous languages, wherever they choose to live and work. "We're proud to work with our partners across the nations to grow our languages, strengthen our cultural connections and help people develop opportunities and careers in their indigenous languages.'

Wincey Willis, ITV's first female weather presenter, dies aged 76
Trailblazer Wincey Willis, the first woman to present the weather on ITV, has died aged 76 after a dementia diagnosis. The icon died in December, but it was only publicly annonced today. After being diagnosed with fronto-temporal dementia, Willis spent her final years in Sunderland. Born Florence Winsome Leighton in Gateshead and adopted at infancy, she grew up in Hartlepool in a strict Baptist household. At school she was nicknamed 'Wincey,' after the nursery rhyme. She began her career as a travel rep before entering broadcasting with Radio Tees in 1975. In 1981 she joined Tyne Tees TV as a weather presenter on Northern Life, later hosting her own show Wincey's Pets. In May 1983, Greg Dyke brought her to TV-am's Good Morning Britain, making her the first woman to deliver national weather forecasts on ITV. Her bubbly style, colourful jumpers, and trademark mullet gave a lively makeover to the otherwise earnest format. More Trending At the height of her fame, Willis also appeared on the popular game show Treasure Hunt alongside Anneka Rice and devised a board game called The Weather Game. Later in her life, she worked as an international conservation volunteer. Famously, she spent six months in a tent in Greece protecting endangered turtles. She later composted worms, writing books such as It's Raining Cats and Dogs (1986) and Greendays (1990), and continued broadcasting through regional radio with BBC Coventry & Warwickshire and BBC Hereford & Worcester. She's remembered as a television trailblazer who helped pave the way for women in broadcasting. Got a story?
