Emmerdale's Bear Wolf in dramatic new storyline as Lisa Riley reveals shock developments for the Dingles
EMMERDALE'S Bear Wolf will find himself in a dramatic new storyline, Lisa Riley has revealed. In recent episodes of the hit ITV show, Lisa's character Mandy Dingle and partner Paddy, played by Dominic Brunt, have been voicing their concerns about Paddy's dad, Bear. 4 4 4 The couple have tried to help him - from arranging a doctor's appointment to giving him an old motorbike to restore, but he simply puts his strange behaviour down to 'being a pain in the bum.' Now, after an incident at the garage that saw Bear getting very frustrated with the bike, and an altercation with Kammy Hadiq, Emmerdale fans have begun to question whether Bear has a secret health condition. Dropping some hints about the storyline, Lisa Riley, 48, spoke to The Sun and said: 'Whatever's going on with Bear, it'll bring Mandy and Paddy closer together. 'Next week, people are going to see Paddy and Mandy getting their new home and it's all very exciting. And as new homeowners, they want to take advantage of it because they love each other and can't keep their hands off each other. 'It's their passion pad. They like to call it Paddy Towers. But Paddy is also very aware about mental health issues, so what does that mean for Bear moving forward? 'Is he a grumpy old man? Is he suffering from mental health issues? Will he have something severe as we go on? Of course, it's going to go off.' The talented actress, who will celebrate a huge 30 years on the show next month, also spoke about the Dingles and serial killer John Sugden being part of the family. 'Mandy loves John. She's very flirty with him, and she thinks he's great for Aaron. Lisa Riley opens up on the grief of losing her mum 'She thinks that he'll look after Aaron, yeah, and obviously with the viewers, it's so hilarious, honestly. 'When I'm in Waitrose, people go, 'Mandy, Mandy, be careful of that John' and I'm going, 'yeah, OK,' but how do you say it in a non-patronising way? 'I know as a viewer, but obviously Mandy loves him and doesn't see anything wrong with him and has no idea. And if Mandy does find out in so many months to come, oh God help him. 'I mean, her brick would come out - she has a brick in her bag, and you'd see the crazy side of Mandy if she had any inkling that John had something to do with Nate's death.' Lisa added: 'She's the Queen of the family, and you don't cross the Queen.' Away from her life portraying Mandy Dingle on hit soap Emmerdale, Lisa has been supporting Sue Ryder with their latest campaign. Lisa was incredibly close to her mum Cath, but sadly lost her to cancer in 2012. Now, Lisa has joined forces with their Back for a Moment campaign, to help bereaved people get the support they need. And in doing so, the star chatted to The Sun about her mum, and how she sometimes finds herself hiding behind her character Mandy, to disguise the pain of losing her. But Lisa says it's her Emmerdale cast mates who get her through those tougher times. She said: 'On the tough days, I do think Mandy Dingle has been a great person to hide behind. I do hide behind the bravado. 'Because there are some days where you want to sort of roll over on your pillow and cry. But I am so grateful to do what I love, and I am very lucky. 'I am guilty of pressing the bravado button, but I have my wonderful co-stars around me, including Dom - who plays Paddy - and the incredible Bradley Johnson, who plays my son. 'We're all so in tune with each other, they've got my back and I've got theirs, and honestly we're so lucky we do, because sometimes I watch my scenes back and think 'if only people knew what was really going on in my head.'' But the star said she recognises that, for some people, it's hard to find others to turn to when losing someone, especially as 88% of bereaved people feel alone in their grief. Lisa continued: 'There are thousands of people who need to know that Sue Ryder is there, and that they don't have to be by themselves. 'My dad was a bit in denial when my mum died, and that is what the campaign is there for.' Sue Ryder offers a range of free grief support, including an online bereavement community and in-person Grief Kind Spaces. Search 'Grief Deserves Better' or visit this website 4

Watch the moment Emmerdale's Bear threatens Dales villager in aggressive bust-up ahead of heartbreaking mystery plot
EMMERDALE's Bear Wolf laid into an unexpected villager on today's episode as they suffered an explosive run-in. In recent weeks, the dad of Paddy Kirk has been seen getting increasingly agitated and clashing with many of his closest relatives. 4 4 Despite living with Paddy and Mandy, there have been signs that Bear has been feeling pushed out and with not much to keep him occupied. As a result, Mandy and Paddy bought him a motorbike to repair but after he began to do it on the kitchen table and in their way, they soon banished him to the garage to complete the project. It has meant that he has been out of the house, something Paddy and Mandy viewed as a good thing, but for Bear he appeared to be more isolated than ever. In tonight's episode, his temper seemed to get the better of him as he lashed out at Kammy Hadiq during a charged moment at the garage. As Bear continued to work on his bike, Kammy began to point out some tips on how he could do it better and more time-effective. This left Bear frustrated as he was adamant that he knew what he was doing and did not need any input from Kammy. Kammy said to Bear: "Just go home. "It don't look great, you battering the bike like a nutter!" This comment left Bear furious as he stood up and grabbed the youngster in a fit of rage. Violently shaking him, Bear screeched at Kammy: "Don't call me a nutter! Emmerdale's Lisa Riley gives first look tour of Mandy and Paddy's new lovenest "I could snap you like a twig." Holding back a punch, Kammy shouted at Bear to get off him as Paddy arrived. Shocked to see his dad in such an angry state, Paddy insisted Bear let Kammy go before he watched his dad sulk off. Later on, Bear was left unhappy when Paddy questioned him on the day's antics. Attempting to enjoy his evening meal, he said he would eat alone in his room to avoid the questioning. Alarmed, Paddy insisted to Mandy that Bear appeared to be acting oddly but she did not appear to share the same thinking. Fans of Emmerdale know that a huge story is looming for Bear. He will soon disappear and not be seen on screen for some time but it won't be disclosed as to just exactly why he had fled. Speaking at a recent press event, Bear actor Joshua Richards said: "He alters somewhat, he's not too good here (pointing to his head) for some reason which we don't know why. "He's being slightly erratic emotionally and with his mood swings. "There's periods of forgetfulness and the kind of things that happen with a man of his age." 4 4

ITV Emmerdale fans rumble Bear's heartbreaking story ahead of soap 'exit'
Emmerdale viewers think they have 'worked out' Bear Wolf's upcoming devastating storyline as he goes missing from the village. Emmerdale fans are convinced they have Bear Wolf's upcoming storyline figured out, and it's devastating. Fans of the ITV soap are set to become concerned about Bear in upcoming scenes. A newly emerging storyline will see him go awol and temporarily leave the village behind. The new sad and mysterious storyline has had Emmerdale viewers racking their brains about what will come next. Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw said recently: "Other stuff that's coming up this summer and kind of into the summer and autumn, the character of Bear, we've got a big storyline coming up for him, he's going to go off-screen for a little while. "He'll go missing and when he comes back what you'll see is a very different Bear in a really different situation and we're all going to be watching and going: 'What the hell has happened here?' So that's going to be really exciting!" Fans took to social media following Tuesday's episode, convinced that they've figured out Bear's mysterious storyline after a pivotal scene on the programme, as reported by Leicestershire Live. During Tuesday's episode earlier this week, Bear arrived home to shocking scenes as he found his son Paddy Kirk and daughter-in-law Mandy Dingle in an embrace. "Next time I'll knock should I?," Bear announced, visibly left uncomfortable at what he had stumbled in on. Paddy then dropped the bombshell that the pair are now renting the property from Liam Cavanagh, who had moved out. However Bear didn't take the news well, as he lamented the fact it was their "own little love nest", declaring: "Who needs me hanging around?" before storming out. Taking to social media, one person said: "Poor old Bear, I guess we know what his big storyline is about now." Responding in the comments section, viewers were quick to share their theories as another said: "He will either have cancer or dementia I reckon." Someone else chimed: "I reckon he's got some sort of cancer and is hiding it", another wrote: "Think bear is lonely" while a different account added: "I think prostate cancer maybe?" Elsewhere in the world of soaps, Coronation Street and Emmerdale will join forces in a one-off special episode to launch ITV's new power hour of soap which begins in January 2026. For the first time in British soap history, the hour-long episode will see characters from both soaps come together in a celebration of the soap genre. Corrie and Emmerdale's production teams will join forces for an ambitious stunt that will have everlasting consequences for everyone involved.
