Jordan condemns attacks on its diplomatic missions over Gaza aid efforts
Jordan on Saturday strongly condemned a series of incitement campaigns and attacks targeting its diplomatic missions in several countries, linked to its humanitarian role in supporting Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Ambassador Sufian Qudah, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, said the "deliberate and systematic" campaigns would not undermine Jordan's long-standing, principled support for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, nor its continued efforts to end the war on Gaza and prevent further humanitarian catastrophe. Qudah added that the ministry has formally contacted the foreign ministries of the countries where the attacks took place, as well as ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom, demanding full protection for Jordanian missions and their staff, in line with the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The ministry is also following up with relevant authorities to ensure those responsible are held accountable and that such violations are not repeated.

'These efforts have paid off,' he noted, 'as evidenced by the recent changes in the stances of France, the UK, and Germany, which have announced intentions to recognize the State of Palestine in the near future.' He also highlighted His Majesty the King's continued efforts—along with Jordanian diplomacy—in influencing global public opinion and exposing the brutality of the Israeli army in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, as well as uncovering the actions of the Israeli occupation to the world. Dr. Dawood emphasized that the Jordanian position, as expressed by His Majesty King Abdullah II, remains firmly committed to the Palestinian cause and the concerns of the Palestinian people, confronting Israeli aggression through diplomatic means. He stressed that the King enjoys deep respect among Western leaders, who value his wisdom and views. Jordan's Role in Breaking the Siege Dr. Moath Waleed Abu Dalo, a professor of public law and political analyst, said that Jordan, both officially and at the popular level, stands in solidarity with its Palestinian brothers in every crisis they face. He affirmed that Jordan has stood fully by the Palestinians since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. He pointed to Jordan's humanitarian role in breaking the siege on Gaza through airdrops of humanitarian and relief aid, in addition to aid convoys and field hospitals sent by the Jordanian Armed Forces, represented by the Arab Army and Royal Medical Services. Abu Dalo also underscored Jordan's political role in calling for an end to the war, halting the killing and displacement, and working with all available means to achieve peaceful solutions through the UN General Assembly and international visits aimed at stopping the aggression.
