Michigan football prepares for a key 2026 CB prospect visit on June 6, named in top 5
In just days, Michigan football recruiting for the summer will heat up in a big way with May 30 marking the start of the official visit slate to Ann Arbor. With that, the Wolverines will look to considerably grow its 2026 class, which currently sits at seven commitments.
It'll be just over a week, but the maize and blue are expected to host one of their top targets on campus, though there is considerable competition for his services. Thus, getting him to Ann Arbor could play a significant role determining whether or not he ends up as part of the class or if he heads elsewhere.
Khary Adams sets visit date, top five schools
Michigan football is in strong consideration for 2026 Towson (Md.) Loyola Blakefield four-star cornerback Khary Adams, a 6-foot-2, 175-pounder who is looking at some of the top schools across the country. Rated the No. 36 player in the country according to 247Sports' proprietary rankings, he has a top five of Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Notre Dame, and South Carolina.
He is set to make his way to Ann Arbor for an official visit on June 6.
Penn State currently has the edge according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball as well as the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Scouting report
The scouting report on Adams via 247Sports:
Debuted in the initial 2026 Top247 rankings in April 2024 before receiving a football scholarship offer. Freakshow track athlete with personal bests of 21.50 (2.1) in the 200, 10.74 (3.0) in the 100, and 6.45 in the 55-meter dash at a verified 6-foot-2, 175 pound billing. Three-phase playmaker who made a noticeable jump in production on both sides of the ball as a junior. Owns the physical specs to erase receivers in man coverage, along with the top-end speed to recover and make plays on the ball at the catch point. Much more comfortable as a junior in zone coverage; will frequently dart into passing lanes and close quickly on ball carriers. Consistently creates chunk plays with the ball in his hands in the return game and at receiver. One of the higher-upside prospects from the DMV in a loaded 2026 cycle. Should be viewed as a toolsy prospect with Round 1 NFL Draft traits who is baking into a potential difference maker for a College Football Playoff contender.
Michigan currently has one cornerback tentatively committed in the 2026 class in Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin four-star Brody Jennings. However, Jennings has had a wandering eye in recent months and it's unclear whether or not he'll end up in the class.

Laremy Tunsil displaying leadership while away from the Commanders
New Washington Commanders left tackle Laremy Tunsil may not have been with the team throughout the voluntary offseason program. Still, he found ways to exhibit veteran leadership, specifically with rookie first-round pick Josh Conerly Jr. Natalie Spala of ABC News 7 in Washington, D.C., recently caught up with offensive line coach Bobby Johnson after OTAs this week in Ashburn. Johnson revealed that Tunsil was the first person to reach out to Conerly after the Commanders selected him 29th overall in the 2025 NFL draft. Advertisement "He was the first guy to reach out to Josh when Josh got drafted," Johnson said. "So, you automatically see a guy who is willing to be a leader and how he can help this young guy. I'm excited to see how fast that accelerates Josh's development. Because here is a guy who has done it at a high level, who's very talented, that can kind of give Josh the answers to the test." This is interesting because, reportedly, Tunsil's play wasn't the issue in Houston. Here's what Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated wrote about the Tunsil trade from the Texans' perspective: In short, DeMeco Ryans feels like the culture he wants across the board is in place on defense but not on offense and that a toxic atmosphere in the offensive line room was a root cause. And while Tunsil wasn't a bad guy (he was actually well-liked), he wasn't the type of leader to turn the ship—and needed to be as one of its captains. Essentially, Houston preferred going younger at offensive tackle and didn't want to give Tunsil (31 in August) another lucrative extension. The Commanders were thrilled to land Tunsil to protect quarterback Jayden Daniels' blind side. Washington believes Tunsil has several years of high-quality play remaining. Advertisement When Tunsil reached out to Conerly after the draft, it was a positive sign that put some of those rumors from his time with Houston to bed. Tunsil will be in town with the team next week as the Commanders hold their mandatory minicamp before breaking for training camp, which begins next month. Tennessee Titans sign fourth-round WR Chimere Dike to rookie contract
The Tennessee Titans finalized a contract with another one of their nine-man 2025 NFL draft class on Friday by coming to terms with fourth-round selection WR Chimere Dike on a four-year deal. An explosive wideout with the ability to challenge defenses with his deep speed, Dike is versatile and is willing to do all of the dirty work for an offense, and add a dimension to the offense that the team lacked in 2024. The Titans had limited production out of the slot in 2024, and Dike appears to be a significant upgrade over Tyler Boyd. Advertisement Dike could also add a spark on special teams. Proving to be a dynamic return man who could give Tennessee the type of weapon they lacked last season. So far in OTAs, he has been turning heads, is developing a strong chemistry with Cam Ward, and has the look of a player who could make a difference. Now that Dike has signed his rookie contract, that leaves second-round pick Femi Oladejo as the only member of their nine-man draft class left unsigned. With the Titans heading into their mandatory minicamp, they would likely want to get that contract done. Michigan Running Back's Groundbreaking NIL Deal Redefines College Football
Michigan Running Back's Groundbreaking NIL Deal Redefines College Football originally appeared on Athlon Sports. When Justice Haynes traded crimson for maize and blue, Michigan fans expected game-changing runs. What they didn't expect? A business move just as explosive. Advertisement Haynes, the former Alabama running back and one of the top transfers of 2025, has inked a unique NIL deal with Loom Juices, not just as a brand ambassador, but as an equity stakeholder. That's right: the Wolverines' rising star now owns part of the brand. 'This partnership exemplifies how athletes can leverage their platforms for meaningful, long-term brand engagements,' said Haynes' agent, Dan Everett. In a landscape flooded with apparel deals and one-off endorsements, Haynes' agreement stands out. According to On3's Pete Nakos, the deal positions the 5-foot-11, 205-pound back not only as a face of Loom's health-focused mission, but as a strategic partner. For Loom, which targets a younger, wellness-conscious demographic, Haynes is the ideal match. Michigan Wolverines running back Justice & Blue Review The move reflects a growing NIL trend: equity over appearance. Instead of cashing short-term checks, Haynes is playing the long game, something fans and athletes alike should take note of. Advertisement It's a bold step for the sophomore, who tallied 715 total yards and nine touchdowns over two seasons at Alabama. After entering the portal this winter, Haynes chose Michigan over South Carolina and Ole Miss, eager for a bigger stage and a larger role. He now enters a wide-open RB competition for a team hungry to rebound from a disappointing 10-3 finish in 2024. With Haynes bringing both his downhill running style and entrepreneurial mindset to Ann Arbor, it's clear: this isn't just about football anymore. This NIL deal isn't just a contract. It's a statement about athlete empowerment, brand strategy, and the evolving landscape of college sports. If Haynes breaks out in the Big Ten like many expect, Loom Juices won't just have a new face. They'll have a stake in a star.
