Martin Kove Addresses 2024 Cobra Kai Misconduct Allegation, After Biting Co-Star at June Fan Event
Cobra Kai star Martin Kove has denied any wrongdoing involving a sexual harassment allegation that was said to have taken place on set of the Netflix series' final season in Atlanta.
According to a report from Deadline, the actor was investigated by series producer Sony Pictures Television after an extra made a sexual harassment complaint against Kove in April 2024. Though the matter was not said to have involved physical contact, it was described as 'leering' and verbally overt enough for the actress to speak up about her discomfort. Studio reps launched an official investigation, speaking to the actress in question and others involved in Cobra Kai's Season 6 production. They also spoke directly to Kove who, at one point, was asked to stay in his trailer while the investigation unfolded. However, the actor was never formally asked to leave the set.

Kove has denied any misconduct and called the news 'bizarre,' seeing as the alleged event occurred over a year ago. 'If there was something to confess, I would be the first to say it,' the actor told Deadline. 'Sony did ask me about the alleged incident and I was completely transparent. It wasn't true then, and it isn't true now,' he said.
TVLine has reached out to Netflix, Sony Pictures Television and Kove's reps for additional comment.
Kove also made headlines earlier this week following an incident that occurred at a fan convention in Puyallup, Wash. The actor bit and attempted to kiss his Cobra Kai co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim's arm. Police were called, but Hannah-Kim ultimately declined to press charges. Kove was asked to leave the event and was escorted out.
Kove issued an apology to Hannah-Kim on Tuesday.
'I deeply regret and apologize for my actions regarding the incident with Alicia [Hannah-Kim], a genuinely kind and wonderful person who didn't deserve to be put in this position,' he said in a statement. 'I've always respected her and considered her a highly professional and talented co-worker on Cobra Kai. I was being playful in the moment but went too far and there is absolutely no excuse for my behavior. I regret my actions for which I take full responsibility for what I did, and again I apologize to her and her husband. I'm committed to learning from this and it will never happen again.'

Travis Kelce Shines as a 'Surprisingly Good' Actor in Happy Gilmore 2, Says Christopher McDonald (Exclusive) Happy Gilmore 2, the long-awaited sequel to 1996's raucous comedy Happy Gilmore, hits Netflix on July 25, bringing Adam Sandler's lovable Happy back into our lives. The hockey-player-turned-golfer returns for what will surely be more shenanigans, with Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald and even Ben Stiller reprising their roles from the original. Some new faces are joining the fray, including Margaret Qualley, Bad Bunny, Benny Safdie and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce. This isn't the first acting gig for the three-time Super Bowl winner as Kelce had a recurring role in FX's Grotesquerie, and he hosted the game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? Kelce received high praise from Grotesquerie star Niecy Nash and creator Ryan Murphy, and now he's getting more of the same from Happy Gilmore 2 costar McDonald. In an exclusive interview with People, McDonald was effusive with his praise of Kelce. "Travis Kelce has been out there and I just really liked him as a person. He is really funny. Carnival Cruise Line responds to troubling Netflix documentary
Carnival Cruise Line responds to troubling Netflix documentary originally appeared on Come Cruise With Me. Netflix probably couldn't have chosen a worse time to release its documentary on the infamous Carnival Triumph disaster of 2013. The new documentary looks back on the truly crappy results of an engine room fire on board the cruise ship that left a cruise carrying 4,000 passengers stranded in the Gulf of Mexico for five days amid a foul the ship lost electricity as a result of the fire, passengers were no longer able to flush toilets, and the situation quickly turned dire and disgustingly unsanitary. Netflix's new documentary released on June 24, 'Trainwreck: Poop Cruise,' covers all the nasty details and the media frenzy surrounding the ordeal. As if reliving the awful incident through the documentary wasn't bad enough, Carnival just so happens to be dealing with another public relations nightmare at the moment of the documentary's release. Carnival's most loyal passengers are currently revolting against the cruise line's plan to link status to spending through a new Carnival Rewards loyalty program rolling out in 2026. Despite these setbacks, Carnival Corporation is well positioned for continued growth and success after reporting record-breaking financial results for Q2. Doug Parker shared details on Carnival's response to the new Netflix documentary, as well as its record revenue, on the June 25th edition of Cruise News This is Cruise News Today with Doug Parker. Good morning, here's your cruise news for Wednesday, June 25th. Carnival Cruise Line has released a statement regarding the Carnival Triumph incident, which unfolded 13 years ago and is now the subject of a Netflix documentary called 'Trainwreck: Poop Cruise.' The statement says in part that the Carnival Triumph incident was a teachable moment for the entire cruise industry. It goes on to say that it resulted in a thorough investigation that revealed a design vulnerability, which was corrected. Carnival then spent more than $500 million dollars to implement a fleet-wide program dealing with everything from fire prevention and suppression to enhanced management systems. You can read the entire statement from Carnival Cruise Line as well as our review of the Netflix documentary at Carnival Corporation just posted record profits saying that demand has never been higher. The cruise giant reported $6.3 billion dollars in second quarter revenue driven by strong onboard spending and last-minute bookings. It also hit a record $8.5 billion dollars in customer deposits with more guests booking further in advance than ever. Adjusted net income — well it was also up there as well — it tripled over the same quarter last year, and all of their ships are now sailing over 100% Disney Cruise Line is raising prices at its adult-only restaurants, but only on select ships. Dining venues like Palo, Remy, and Enchanté are seeing five to 10-dollar price hikes. The changes are rolling out gradually starting with Disney Wish and Disney Treasure and then reaching Disney Fantasy in November. For now, only U.S. and Vancouver sailings are impacted. This comes just days after Disney lowered its cruise deposit cruise stocks ended higher on Tuesday. Carnival Corporation: up 7 percent, 25.70. Royal Caribbean: up 2 percent, 280.47. Paul Dano to Write and Direct Comedy For Universal Pictures and The Daniels — GeekTyrant
Almost a decade ago, actor Paul Dano ( Little Miss Sunshine , There Will Be Blood , Love & Mercy ) and filmmakers Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert blew away Sundance Film Festival attendees with Swiss Army Man , but now the trio now looks ready to reunite on Dano's next director outing. Deadline reports that Dano is set to write and is in talks to direct a new untitled comedy for Universal Pictures, with Kwan, Scheinert and their partner Jonathan Wang producing through their Playgrounds banner. Dano is also in talks to produce. Plot details are being kept under wraps other then it being a high-concept, original comedy. The Daniels have a first-look deal at the studio and, while they are still deep in development on a follow-up to their Oscar Best Picture winner Everything Everywhere All at Once, this film would mark one of the first major projects they are solely producing under the deal. Dano just completed shooting the Olivier Assayas film The Wizard of the Kremlin in which he plays the title character amongst a cast that includes Jude Law, Alicia Vikander and Jeffrey Wright.
