On a recent episode of the popular variety show 'Problem Child in House', he was joined along with his fellow member Kyuhyun. When the topic of conversation between the guests and the hosts turned to weight loss, the Super Junior member made a shocking revelation in front of everyone.
While talking about his diet for losing weight, he shared that in order to achieve the feat of going from 116 kg to 79 kg, he chose to only consume brown rice and paired it with a little bit of anchovies that were wrapped up in a lettuce leaf.
Idol admits to using a weight-loss injection
Shindong then admitted that he also tried a high dose of a popular weight loss injection called Wegovy. While talking about the process, he shared that even though he tried it with a lot of hope in mind, the injection remained ineffective and showed no real results after use.
He shared, 'I received injections in stages. I tried up to 7 stages, but there was no effect. The doctor said, 'It might be hard to eat because you're not digesting well, right?' But I digested extremely well.'
Instead, he ended up going through something called the 'yo-yo effect', which ended up making him gain more weight than he lost.
Delivery app spending and more
During the interview, the star shared that at one point, due to his eating habits, he spent almost 14,490,000 KRW on a food delivery app. When asked about how one can reach this amount as a single person ordering one dish, Shindong shared his philosophy by saying that if one orders a dish, there should be something to complement it, using stir-fried pork and soup/stew.
The Super Junior member has always been open about his weight loss journey and has openly shared his struggles with the public.
