Nintendo delays The Legend of Zelda movie
You'll have to wait a little longer for The Legend of Zelda movie. Nintendo said on Monday that the film's new release date is May 7, 2027. That's six weeks later than the slot it announced earlier this year. The company attributed the rescheduling to production delays.
"This is Miyamoto," Nintendo's announcement post began. "For production reasons, we are changing the release date of the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda to May 7, 2027. It will be some weeks later than the release timing we originally announced, and we will take the extra time to make the film as good as it can be. Thank you for your patience." We don't know much about the movie yet. Its director (Wes Ball) and screenwriter (T.S. Nowlin) are both known for The Maze Runner trilogy. Ball also worked on Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes , the fourth installment in the modern reboots.
In 2023, Ball suggested that the film could have an anime influence. He described it as "this awesome fantasy-adventure movie that isn't like Lord of the Rings, it's its own thing. I've always said, I would love to see a live-action Miyazaki. That wonder and whimsy that he brings to things, I would love to see something like that."

Festival fans demand refunds after headliner's set slashed over weather delay
Many Governors Ball attendees are asking for refunds after one headliner's set was shortened and several acts were nixed over a weather delay. The music festival pushed back doors until 4:30 p.m. — instead of the typical noon — on Saturday, June 7 when the New York area received a storm. 'Please delay your arrival and plan accordingly,' Gov Ball advised concertgoers on X. Just over an hour later, the festival posted an updated schedule for Saturday. The new schedule had removed scheduled performances by School of Rock NYC, Glasshouse, Monobloc, Die Spitz, The Backfires, Lexa Gates and Yaya Bey. The updated schedule included a shorter version of headliner Olivia Rodrigo's set at the end of the night. The pop star was originally supposed to go on at 8:30 p.m. and play until roughly 10 p.m. However, the weather caused Rodrigo's set to be delayed until 9:25 p.m. While Gov Ball did not directly indicate when Rodrigo's set would end, it appeared to have been scheduled past 10 p.m. Billboard reported her set wrapped up a couple minutes after 10:30 p.m. After losing about 30 minutes of Rodrigo's set, disappointed fans called on Gov Ball to issue refunds. 'I better get my refund because cancelling other performers and shortening sets is just irresponsible,' one X user wrote. 'We deserve at least a partial refund this is insane it's not even raining,' another X user wrote. 'Thank you but we still deserve some kind of compensation for this,' an Instagram user wrote, adding the festival's communication 'has been incredibly unprofessional.' Gov Ball has not publicly addressed the situation. This isn't the first time weather caused issues for the annual festival. Gov Ball issued refunds in 2019 after rain also caused mayhem on the festival grounds, The Mirror reported. In the 'r/delta' forum on Reddit, a user posted a provocative question recently. 'What's the weirdest thing to happen to you on a plane?' the person asked — garnering some 2,000 reactions to date. 'On landing/taxi, this fine gentleman pulled out his recorder and played 'Amazing Grace' for the other 100 or so people on the plane,' the user wrote. 'I'm quite happy he waited until the end of the flight.' The user added that it was 'by far the absolute weirdest thing I've seen inside an aircraft.' Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel industry expert and author of the blog 'View From the Wing,' told Fox News Digital that flight passengers need to be mindful of others. 4 'The entire plane smelled of dirty diaper for the rest of the flight.' Leff noted that flying has become more affordable and democratized. 'What that means is that all sorts of different people with different customs and expectations are now thrown together inside a metal tube,' he said. 'Then add in that people may be afraid to fly, or are traveling for emotionally stressful reasons, such as visiting family, leaving home (or escaping a bad home situation) or going to a funeral,' he said. 'Air travel brings together disparate people in stressful times who act as though they're in private.'
