'We've got to keep up with one another. Wrexham have, I'd say, done an incredible job. I mean, you can't be anything but excited about what they've done for that club… I'm so impressed by Wrexham.
'What they do on the pitch, off the pitch, and again, they're in a great position to succeed as well.'
Asked about the rivalry in a fixture that has been dubbed the 'Hollywood Derby', Brady said: 'We're going to talk a lot of smack in the meantime between all of us, because it's pretty fun theatre, and I think there's some little friendly side bets going on.
'But make no mistake, the people who are going to decide the fate of those games are the players wearing those jerseys.'
Brady made 10 Super Bowl appearances and had seven victories – both individual records – in a storied 23-year NFL career between 2000 and 2022.

The 47-year-old admits he would love to bring the Super Bowl to Birmingham once the club's new 62,000-seater stadium is built in Bordesley Green.
He said: 'That would be pretty amazing. I don't make all those decisions. I'm not sure how much I can influence those decisions.
'But I think that my partner, Tom Wagner (Birmingham chairman), is an incredible man, incredible businessman.
'He has huge ambitions for the club, and I would never bet against anything that he tries to accomplish.'

The previous season Birmingham were relegated to the third tier for the first time in 29 years, with former England captain Wayne Rooney having been sacked in January after just 15 matches in charge.
Brady said: 'I think that's a very natural part of a growth process, that you are going to face adversities along the way.
'When I look back at those years, I'm very proud of what we accomplished because of what we overcame.
'Whatever happened two years ago or a year ago makes really no impact on where we're at now.
'I think this club has a great manager. The expectations and standards have been set at a different level, and we're going into this Championship season with great excitement.
'We want to restore it (Birmingham) to the glory that it's been in the past. To move up and to be promoted to the Premier League is a very daunting task, but it can be achieved.'

Travis Kelce stuns NFL fans with telling transformation that hints retirement could be closer than ever

NFL fans have been left stunned by Travis Kelce 's brand new look which he debuted at the Chiefs training camp this week. In recent months, there had been plenty of discussion as to whether the tight end would be hanging up his cleats following the loss in the Super Bowl back in February. However, to the joy of Chiefs fans, it was later confirmed that the 35-year-old would return for a 13th season in the NFL. After an offseason spent galivanting with girlfriend Taylor Swift, Kelce has now joined up with his teammates for the Chiefs training camp, ahead of the new season. To the surprise of many, however, Kelce has rocked up to camp without his traditional long locks and, instead, has been sporting a fade. However, some fans were quick to note the 'gray hairs' on Kelce and, once again, sparked suggestions that the tight end could soon call time on his career. Kelce has ditched his long locks for a fade as he steps up preparations for the new season Taking to X, one fan wrote: 'Travis gray hair kelce [laughing emoji] he really is getting old'. Another said: 'The long hair was doing heavy lifting to hide them greys, he's reached unc status'. However, there were a few fans who jumped to the defense of the Chiefs tight end. 'Yall just be saying anything, it's very clear that his scalp it just very light and the rest of his skin is very tan, that's what happens when you just get a fade,' one user said. Another wrote: 'Tell me that all of your friends are under 25 without telling me.' Recently, one anonymous NFL scout delivered a brutal verdict on whether Kelce will be able to get back to his best during the 2025 season. In a report by ESPN, Kelce was ranked as the fifth-best tight end in the NFL, as they prepare to head into the new season. The scout claimed that Kelce has shown 'signs of physical decline' but did admit that 'you still have to worry about him' because he's 'such a smart player'. However, they ended by claiming that Kelce 'doesn't get open like he used to' and pointed to signs that the Chiefs star 'played heavier last year'. Social media users pointed out that Kelce's new look exposed some gray hairs However, some fans hit back and played down the suggestions that Kelce looked 'old' Trey McBride, Sam LaPorta, George Kittle and Brock Bowers were all listed ahead of the Chiefs star in the tight end rankings. The tight end teased the possibility of ending his career following the loss in the Super Bowl and admitted the grind of NFL life had driven him 'crazy' last season. To the joy of Chiefs fans, it was later confirmed that the 35-year-old would return for a 13th season however he did reveal that he would consider the 2026 season later 'down the road'. Kelce signed a two-year, $34.25million contract - with $17m guaranteed - back in April 2024.

Washington Commanders brutally trolled by fans for boasting about Terry McLaurin's ability... just hours after star man asked to leave!

The Washington Commanders were brutally trolled by its own fans on Friday for posting about star wide receiver Terry McLaurin less than a day after he requested a trade away from the franchise. McLaurin and the Commanders are currently in contract talks after one of their best players wanted a raise on the final year of his deal, where he will earn $16million in 2025. As part of the negotiations, McLaurin requested a trade, a more common move to get team's to fork over more cash, in line with what Myles Garrett and Lamar Jackson have recently done. The Commanders have stated they have no interest in trading McLaurin and the social media team continued its typical posts. On Friday, coincidentally, McLaurin was named the No 52 best player in the league as part of the 'NFL 100', with the team recognizing the accomplishment. That decision led to a barrage of comments from Commanders fans about the standoff between the star man and his employer. 'He going to be checking out if yall don't pay the man,' one Washington fan said. 'Yall shouldn't have posted this,' a second stated. 'How are you posting this and he doesn't even want to be on the team lol,' a third continued. 'Crazy that the team would highlight this right now,' a fourth added. 'He should be in Washington for life. Pay him,' former Commanders quarterback Robert Griffin III concluded. A collection of social-media messages about the Commanders posting a picture of McLaurin McLaurin was the top target for rookie sensation Jayden Daniels last year, hauling in 82 catches for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns. His productivity helped Washington have its best season in over 30 years and reach the NFC Championship Game. Other huge paydays for NFL wide receivers, and McLaurin turning 30 in September, have complicated the talks between the sides. Yet, it appears McLaurin is not going anywhere as the team's brass would be dumb not to find a way to have him on the field for Week 1.

Browns QB Kenny Pickett (hamstring) returns to practice

August 1 - Cleveland Browns quarterback Kenny Pickett returned to practice on Friday, but was limited to individual drills while dealing with a hamstring injury. Pickett, one of four players in the Cleveland QB competition, tweaked his hamstring Saturday and had been considered day-to-day by head coach Kevin Stefanski. Veteran Joe Flacco took over most of the first-team reps this week in Pickett's absence. In addition to Pickett and the 40-year-old Flacco, rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are in the quarterback mix as Cleveland seeks to replace the injured Deshaun Watson. Pickett, 27, was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade during the offseason. He lost his starting job with the Pittsburgh Steelers late in the 2023 season. The team moved on from Pickett before the 2024 campaign, trading him to the Eagles to be a backup to Jalen Hurts. Pickett is 15-10 as a starter and has completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 4,765 yards with 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 30 games. --Field Level Media
