Sean Payton hosted a familiar face at Broncos training camp

The Denver Broncos had one of Sean Payton's former players at practice on Monday, although most NFL fans are more familiar with the guest for his coaching career than his quarterback days. Jason Garrett, who was a backup quarterback with the New York Giants when Payton served as their offensive coordinator in the early 2000s, was at the Broncos' facility on Monday for the team's training camp practice. 'I coached him, and he was our backup quarterback," Payton said after practice. "He's always been a close friend. He's made a couple of trips. I think he's doing some type of podcast special on leadership, and so he's here for the day. I'll spend some time with him. He's really bright, and he's been a close friend. We're going to go back to 2000, which is when we signed him. It's good to see him.' Garrett also visited Broncos training camp last summer. Garrett served as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys from 2011-2019, and he most recently served as the Giants' offensive coordinator from 2020-2021 before transitioning to broadcasting with NBC Sports. Is this house for sale in Tennessee unique or a ‘chilling challenge?' You decide

An unusual house on the real estate market in Newport, Tennessee, is causing a bit of a stir thanks to its puzzling interior and community pool-like exterior. The two-bedroom, three-bathroom residence is listed for $1.5 million and clocks in at 4,737 square feet. Built in 2002, the home sits on a cool 25 acres of tree-filled land that allows the owner to hide off the grid and become a modern day version of Grizzly Adams. Now for the inside. 'The heart of the home is an open kitchen area perfect for entertaining, complemented by two versatile bonus rooms ideal for a home office, gym, or guest space. Step up to the rooftop access and take in sweeping views of your own private paradise,' the listing on Zillow describes. And boy, that's a lot of wood. Different decor styles intermingle in ways that haven't really been invented, yet seems to have an art deco flow. Sure, there's a random tree branch protruding from the wall near the staircase, but it gives it character. One thing folks will notice is the absence of windows in some bedrooms, which appear to be made of blocks. The home was featured on Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page that highlights interesting houses on the market all over the country. And people appeared conflicted about their feelings on both the outside and inside. 'It looks like someone on a Mountain Dew bender designed and decorated the interior,' one person joked. 'I can literally smell this house,' another said. 'And consider this dismaying observation: this chamber has no windows and no doors… which offers you this chilling challenge: to find a way out,' someone noted. 'It's giving.... Tatooine post modernism,' one person observed. 'It's definitely interesting,' another noted. Newport is about a 185-mile drive northwest from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Malcolm Roach responds to Marvin Mims, says WR looks like a mosquito

Last week, Denver Broncos receiver/returner Marvin Mims revealed an unexpected beef between himself and defensive lineman Malcolm Roach. When asked about the smack-talking at practice, Mims attributed most of it to Roach, and he revealed that they sit next to each other in the locker room. "I sit next to him in the locker room, guy doesn't shut up," Mims said of Roach. "He's talking crap to receivers. It's like, 'Dude, like, you're a fat guy. Like, go worry about that. Leave me alone.' But, no, we're always going back and forth, but with him, it's just a whole 'nother deal." Roach spoke with media members one day later, and he came prepared with a response for Mims. "Y'all think I really worry about 19, bruh? I see him every day at the locker right by mine. He talk all -- you all think I talk, he really talk more than me -- but, I ain't worried about Marvin. Because Marvin know he not about to cut that ball back across the middle. That's all I really have to say on that. And Marvin like a mosquito, bro, like he need to worry about that. I could lose this weight. He can't change them looks." Roach, a 6-3, 290-pound defensive tackle, is understandably not concerned about a 5-11, 182-pound Mims. They continue to go at it off the field, though, and that has provided great entertainment for Broncos fans. Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X!
