'I ditched Diet Coke for 50p zero sugar drink I can get from Tesco and Sainsbury's'
In a bid to cut down on sugary fizzy drinks and find a more exciting alternative to plain water, I was searching for something to scratch that itch through the likes of Tesco and Sainsbury's. That's when I stumbled upon DASH water at my local supermarket.
Since giving it a try, it's become a regular feature in my fridge, offering a healthier yet more thrilling option than standard sparkling water. DASH water is a flavoured sparkling water, made with spring water and misshapen fruit in an initiative to tackle food waste.
Each can has no sugar, sweeteners and calories, but still packs a fruity punch and fizz. As a daily consumer, I've tasted all the flavours on offer, including lime, grapefruit, peach and raspberry. In exciting news for me in particular, the brand is set to introduce a new flavour on May 12.
To celebrate, customers can avail a 50% discount using the code SAVEME50 until May 11, after which the code DSH30 will provide new customers a 30% discount, reports the Mirror.
This offer, exclusively for first-time customers on the DASH website, lets shoppers snag a box of cans for half the price. The sparkling water trial pack comprises 16 330ml cans of peach, grapefruit, lime and raspberry flavours, discounted to £12.50, bringing the cost of each can to less than 80p.
For those keen on something a bit different, you can curate a selection of 48 cans with your chosen flavours. Typically priced at £48, the current promotion slashes the cost by half to just £24 when you apply the discount code SAVEM50. That equates to an impressive 50p per can.
While DASH water has managed to entice quite a few with its distinctive taste, it doesn't win over everyone – my other half found the flavour too subtle and yearned for more robust, fruity notes. Twinings, on the other hand, offers an intriguing alternative with their Sparkling Tea, which ingeniously blends lemonade with hibiscus, available for £12.99 for a pack of twelve.
Amazon is joining the fray with their own deal, showcasing the Aqua Libra Sparkling Water, Sugar Free Fruit Water in an enticing Watermelon and Strawberry mix, priced at £14.39 for a pack of 24 cans.
DASH water has been showered with praise, achieving an impressive 4.8 out of five-star rating from an aggregation of over 1,000 reviews. One satisfied drinker commented: "Very refreshing drinks and such great flavours. My favourite is orange and really quenches your thirst and so tasty. Bonus is no calories so can drink without having to count calories."
The accolades don't stop there; numerous customers express their fondness for these refreshments. Another happy reviewer stated: "Absolutely love my dash water. Favourites are peach, mango and lime. So refreshing and also make a great spritzer added to some white wine."
Sharing this sentiment, another consumer remarked: "Really refreshing! I have these instead of a can of Pepsi with lunch now and love it."
A glowing review from a five-star enthusiast revealed their fondness for the beverages on offer, sharing: "I absolutely love these drinks. Lime and pink grapefruit are my favourite flavours. Buy 72 a month on a subscription and always drink them all. Five stars for sure."
As customers look forward to the upcoming summer days, grabbing the DASH water deal may just be the perfect way to enjoy some delicious refreshment. This could be an opportunity to try out a new thirst-quencher without breaking the bank – a smart alternative to traditional high-sugar soft drinks.

Tesco introduces way to collect Clubcard point at car parks
Those with an electric vehicle will now be able to get those all-important points just by making use of the store's Pod electric vehicle chargers. Points are collected for every pound spent at these Vauxhall-branded EV chargers at Tesco Extra and Tesco Superstore car parks across the country. However, points earned through this scheme may not come through right away, with these likely to appear within seven days of the purchase. According to The Metro, Shama Wilson, Tesco's group membership and loyalty director, said: "Our customers have long been able to collect points on fuel from Tesco, but with an increasing number of drivers switching to electric vehicles we are delighted that shoppers will now be able to collect Clubcard points when they charge their cars at our stores, thanks to our exciting partnership with Pod. "You can now park at your local Tesco and top-up your electric vehicle while you shop, in the knowledge that you are collecting Clubcard points towards a future Tesco shop or to exchange with one of our Reward Partners." There are around 2,600 charging bays at more than 600 Tesco stores in the UK. A post shared by Tesco (@tesco) Tesco Clubcard is one of the most popular loyalty schemes in the UK and allows customers to collect points (which can be turned into vouchers) and make savings when shopping. Discussing the scheme, Marketing Week said that it "revolutionised" the industry when it launched all the way back in 1995. Clubcards quickly became a major success, seeing millions of people across the country make use of them every single day. In 2024, Tesco Clubcard had over 22 million active members in the UK, representing over 80% of households. Around 12.7 million users were found to be making use of the app.
