Dolce & Gabbana embrace wrinkled romance for spring-summer 2026

Yahoo4 hours ago

MILAN (AP) — Dolce & Gabbana beckoned the warm weather with crumpled, take-me-anywhere comfort in their menswear collection for spring-summer 2026, previewed during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday.
The show opened and closed with a relaxed pajama silhouette — deliberately rumpled and effortless — in a clash of stripes, with both shorts and long trousers.
The Beethoven soundtrack belied designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's more deliberate intent, underscoring the designers' structured approach to soft tailoring.
A broad shoulder double-breasted suit jacket and tie worn with pink pinstriped PJ pants encapsulated the classic summer dilemma: work vs. pleasure.
Raw knitwear, or furry overcoats, added texture. Boxers peeked out of waistbands, and big shirt cuffs out of jacket sleeves, challenging formal and casual codes.
Nothing was cleaner on the runway than a crisp striped pajama top in sky-blue and white stripes tucked into white leather Bermuda shorts — good for work and for play.
The designers' finale featured pajama suits, shorts and pants, with beaded floral patterned embroidery for an evening seaside shimmer, worn with fuzzy sliders. Twin cameo brooches gave an antique accent.
The crowd outside got to share in the fun when the finale models took the looks onto the streets, taking a full lap outside the designers' Metropol theater. Front-row guests included actors Zane Phillips, Theo James, Lucien Laviscount and Michele Morrone.

3-Year-Old Cries For Papa John's at a Michelin Star Restaurant. His Mom Explains the Viral Moment (Exclusive)

Dakota Wilds shared a video of her son crying for Papa John's pizza while the family dined at a Michelin-star restaurant Wilds shares that Papa John's is a staple of normalcy in her family, which is always moving The video went viral, amassing 5.9 million views on TikTokWhat people might see when they watch Dakota Wilds' video is a young child who is crying out for Papa John's. But Wilds knows there's a deeper meaning behind her son's love for the pizza. Wilds shares that her 3-year-old son, Indy, has an obsession with Papa John's that is "clearly irreplaceable" and talks with PEOPLE about the now-viral video. In the video, Indy is sitting at the table with a pizza in front of him, and he cries, "This isn't Papa John's!" The video went viral, amassing 5.9 million views. Wilds shares that it was "by coincidence that I was filming." "The obsession came from his five siblings," Wilds shares. "As a one-income military family, money is tight. When we get to purchase Papa John's, the kids know it's a treat that we can't always afford. Since moving away from America, it's a nostalgic memory; ordering Papa John's and having movie night brought so much joy to our six children, something I hope they always remember." Her family had just completed a long day of travel from Bavaria, Germany, to Florence, Italy when the video was taken. "Indy is 3. Naturally, he was exhausted, and all eight of us just wanted to find a family-friendly pizza joint. Unbeknownst to us, we find ourselves sitting in a Michelin-star pizza joint with six kids; all eyes on us," Wilds recalls. "I started to record the rare moment that my 'unapologetically themselves family' was in such a desirable restaurant. Our typical splurge on food is ordering whatever we want from Papa John's, and all of us cuddle on the couch, indulging and watching a family movie together, so I had to document." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. After the trip, they stumbled across the video, and Wilds' older kids begged her to post it and tag Papa John's. Since then, Wilds shares that they have been in contact with the popular pizza chain following the video's attention. "We just recently moved to Bavaria, Germany, due to my husband getting relocated with the Army. I know Papa John's is trying to coordinate something special, but it's a little challenging and takes longer with us living in Europe." Papa John's is an essential staple of normalcy for the family, who moves and travels a lot due to Wilds' husband being in the military. "Traveling every couple of years with the Army can be incredibly challenging for families," she continues. "Saying goodbye time and again tends to be a normal part of our lives. Something as simple as the type of food you eat, in our case Papa John's, can bring a sense of normalcy to a life of unfamiliarity." "There is beauty in seeing the world and trying new things, but at the end of the day, certain things make you who you are, and if Papa John's brings comfort amid chaos and challenges, then I'd say we aren't doing too bad," Wilds shares. In Times Square, Buchette Del Vino NYC Unveils A Florentine Tradition

Buchette del Vino NYC, a replica of a Tuscan piazza with a historic Florentine wine window, has ... More opened in Times Square. New Yorkers who get frustrated while passing through Times Square can now find a reason to stop and linger—and perhaps savor a glass of Italian wine. That was the message behind the grand opening for Buchette del Vino NYC, a trattoria replicating a Tuscan piazza graced with a Florentine wine window along Broadway between 43rd and 44th streets. This Italian F&B concept is from partners Jack Logue and Chris Miller, the duo behind the resurgence of The Lambs Club, a modern American restaurant within The Chatwal, New York. This circa 1905 hotel, belonging to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is located nearby this Tuscan-inspired concept. It is situated within the center of Times Square Pedestrian Plaza. From left, Chris Miller, managing partner of The Lambs Club, looks on as the restaurant's executive ... More chef and partner Jack Logue cuts a ribbon to open Buchette del Vino NYC. Behind Logue is Tom Harris, president of the Times Square Alliance. 'For those New Yorkers who like to whine about Times Square, you can come to Times Square and have some wine,' said Tom Harris, president of the Times Square Alliance, at the opening ceremony. Also at the opening, Logue, a native New Yorker who is The Lambs Club's executive chef and partner, shared the enthusiasm. The food and drink menu at Buchette del Vino NYC will feature many Italian specialties. 'We could not be more excited to be here,' said Logue. 'We wanted to bring some joy and some fun to New York City and Times Square. I was one of those born and raised New Yorkers who whined about Times Square and now will be drinking wine in Times Square.' Alongside wines, customers at Buchette del Vino NYC can order espresso, gelato and draft beer. The food portion of the menu will feature salads, paninis and tramezzini (Italian triangular sandwiches) as well as a pasta of the month. Orders will be made onsite amid a culinary team with 40 combined years of Michelin star experience. Logue, who lived in Italy for two years, said that Antonelli Wines in Florence will handle the wine selection at Buchette del Vino NYC. 'For me, Italy is always going to be part of my heart and soul. We decided to put one in New York City and once we committed to do it, we just said we're going to do it.' The Buchette del Vino NYC will be open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight daily.
