Official – Sevilla Buy Further 40% Of France Midfielder Rights: Inter Milan Still Own 10%

La Liga giants Sevilla have acquired an additional 40% of Lucien Agoume, increasing their total ownership of the former Inter Milan midfielder.
According to the club's official website, Los Nervionenses have paid €4 million to secure the extra portion of his rights.
Following several underwhelming loan spells, Lucien Agoume swapped San Siro for Seville last summer.
However, the Spaniards purchased only half of his rights at the time, agreeing to a co-ownership deal with the Nerazzurri.

The Andalusian powerhouse held only half of Agoume's rights throughout the 2024/25 season.
Yet, the 23-year-old has convinced the ex-Europa League winners to increase their stake by purchasing an additional 40%.
Indeed, the Frenchman had an impressive season at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in 2024/25.
He racked up 35 appearances in La Liga, netting one goal and providing three assists.
Therefore, Sevilla's decision to increase their stake in the ownership comes as no surprise.
Meanwhile, Inter can reinvest the money in the transfer market.

Italian Journalist Reveals ‘Atalanta Are In Complete Chaos' Over Lookman To Inter Milan Transfer Saga

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni writes that Atalanta are in 'complete chaos' over the transfer saga with Inter Milan and Ademola Lookman. Zazzaroni took to Instagram to detail the behind-the-scenes drama after La Dea rejected a second Inter bid for the 27-year-old yesterday. He reports that there was another phone call between the clubs. Yesterday, Atalanta gave their response to Inter's second offer for Ademola Lookman. Having already turned down a bid of €40 million for the Nigerian, the Bergamo club also rejected Inter's second offer of €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons. View this post on Instagram This did not go down well with Inter, of course. But in particular, the response from Atalanta infuriated Lookman, who removed all mention of Atalanta from his social media. Including pictures in an Atalanta kit. Now, the question is where this transfer saga will go next. It is clear that it has already blown up into a true summer soap opera. Zazzaroni Reveals: 'Marotta & Percassi Spoke Yesterday Afternoon' VERONA, ITALY – NOVEMBER 23: Giuseppe Marotta of FC Internazionale during the Serie A match between Verona and FC Internazionale at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on November 23, 2024 in Verona, Italy. (Photo by) Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni was the person who first broke the news of Inter's interest in Lookman last month. Zazzaroni notes that after yesterday's rejection, Lookman 'immediately removed his photo from his Instagram. Along with the words 'footballer for Atalanta' and all photos linked with Atalanta.' 'Ademola Lookman only kept references to the Nigerian national team.' 'He reacted with guts to Percassi's refusal to accept Inter's offer,' Zazzaroni writes. 'Moments beforehand, Marotta had interpreted Atalanta's email as a kind of confirmation that the player is unsellable.' 'This is because Percassi hadn't given him a price tag to base an offer on,' Zazzaroni explained. 'Only later did it become clear that Atalanta had simply rejected the €45 million offer.' Then, Zazzaroni notes that 'there was a phone call late in the afternoon between Marotta and Percassi.' 'The former was seeking clarification on the actual price tag. But the latter was unsure of what to say.' 'And so the summer soap opera continues,' the Corriere dello Sport editor adds. (Photo by) 'Previous episodes of the Lookman saga: Ademola, who turns 28 in October, under contract until 2027, wants Inter. He appeals to a promise made to him a year ago.' 'This was a prerequisite for an offer of €35-40 million.' 'Inter want the player,' Zazzaroni goes on. 'Starting with a €40 million. Rising to €45 million, and seemingly willing to make another offer.' 'But they demand a ballpark figure, which Percassi refuses to provide.' Zazzaroni notes that 'Atalanta re in the worst possible situation.' 'They fear a further weakening of the team after the departures of Gasperini and Retegui. And therefore they're struggling to find a solution.' 'There's no betrayal,' Zazzaroni cautions. 'But a rift, nevertheless.' 'And that's all that's certain at the moment. Because of social media, the anger can't be denied any longer, nor the player's will ignored.' 'We're heading into complete chaos,' Zazzaroni concludes.

Timothy Weah's Marseille move back on

Despite negotiations seemingly at a standstill for a time, Olympique de Marseille aren't giving up their pursuit of Timothy Weah (25). The Juventus winger has been linked to a return to Ligue 1 from Italy, despite a recent impasse. Juventus general director Damien Comolli recently said that the Marseille offer for the 25-year-old American was 'not adequate.' New reports on Friday evening, though, suggest that a deal between the two clubs for the American international may be back on the table after confusion over the initial €13 m offer. Fresh negotiations have been taking place, according to . reported on Friday that the highest bid Marseille are willing to go on Weah is €15m, and they will not budge on that. Weah appears to want to leave Juventus and return to France, where he helped Lille OSC win the Ligue 1 title in the 2020-21 campaign. He has netted a mere five goals in two Serie A campaigns for Juve. While a move back to France seems to be what Weah wants, he's still under contract with Juventus until 2028. Before winning the Ligue 1 title at Lille, Weah won that crown twice as a member of Paris Saint-Germain before a loan spell in Scotland with Celtic and then coming back to Ligue 1 with Les Dogues. Along with three Ligue 1 crowns to his name, Weah has also captured the Trophée des champions with both PSG and Lille and won three CONCACAF Nations League trophies with the US national team. Barcelona eye €30m sale to seal Marcus Rashford's registration

Barcelona are still working to ensure Marcus Rashford's registration with La Liga for the incoming 2025/26 season. La Blaugrana secured a season-long loan agreement with Manchester United last month as Rashford joined their preseason tour. The England international will stay in Catalonia for the 2025/26 season with Barcelona holding a £40m purchase clause on him in 2026. Rashford has impressed in two cameo appearances and the goal now is to ensure he is ready for the La Liga opener against Mallorca on August 16. Barcelona are working within a tight financial situation, with the plan to register Joan Garcia on the back of Marc-Andre ter Stegen's injury, and Marc Casado could be sold to facilitate Rashford. Barcelona could activate 'Casado lever' Casado was a vital player in the early weeks of Flick's first season, but injury disrupted his progression, and the picture has now changed. Flick is still in favour of retaining Casado, but the financial practicalities of pushing for La Liga's 1:1 transfer rule, make a sale tempting. Image via Getty Images That remains the goal, and selling a homegrown player would be a major tick in the box for Barcelona, if they can find a buyer for the 21-year-old midfielder. As per reports from Diario AS, Barcelona value him at €30m, and Flick is rumoured to prefer the fit-again Marc Bernal as an option to rotate with Frenkie de Jong at the base of Barcelona's midfield. Casado is not actively looking to leave, despite his likely reduced role in Catalonia, and reported interest from the Premier League has not developed into a formal offer at this stage. The club view the money brought in via sales and the salary saved as crucial to getting Rashford's paperwork completed – but that could mean looking to a La Liga solution over Casado – and a possible loan exit for 2025/26.
