Timothy Weah's Marseille move back on

New reports on Friday evening, though, suggest that a deal between the two clubs for the American international may be back on the table after confusion over the initial €13 m offer. Fresh negotiations have been taking place, according to .
reported on Friday that the highest bid Marseille are willing to go on Weah is €15m, and they will not budge on that. Weah appears to want to leave Juventus and return to France, where he helped Lille OSC win the Ligue 1 title in the 2020-21 campaign. He has netted a mere five goals in two Serie A campaigns for Juve.
While a move back to France seems to be what Weah wants, he's still under contract with Juventus until 2028.
Before winning the Ligue 1 title at Lille, Weah won that crown twice as a member of Paris Saint-Germain before a loan spell in Scotland with Celtic and then coming back to Ligue 1 with Les Dogues.
Along with three Ligue 1 crowns to his name, Weah has also captured the Trophée des champions with both PSG and Lille and won three CONCACAF Nations League trophies with the US national team.

Former Iowa football running back accepts new coaching position
When players go through the Iowa football system, they become so much more knowledgeable of the game and can think football at a higher level than others. That's a big reason why so many Hawkeyes find their way into the NFL and usually stick around longer than some may expect. But for those who weren't able to make it to the league, that knowledge doesn't evaporate. Some players use it to be involved with the game in a different aspect: coaching. And this former Iowa football running back is the next in a great line of Hawkeyes turned into coaches. Bemidji State University football announced on X that it had hired former Hawkeye running back Ivory Kelly-Martin to be its running backs coach for the 2025 season. Bemidji State is a Division II school located in Bemidji, Minnesota. They compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Kelly-Martin played at Iowa from 2017-2021, appearing in 44 games. He had 181 carries for 804 yards and six rushing touchdowns in those 44 games. He spent a lot of time backing up Tyler Goodson and providing valuable snaps. While he wasn't a star at Iowa, Kelly-Martin was well respected by his teammates and coaching staff and was a true steward of the game. That was evident with his inclusion on the 2021 Players Council. Before accepting this position with Bemidji State, Kelly-Martin was a graduate assistant running backs coach at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. With his Master's in Business Administration all finished up, he can now start his coaching career with the Bemidji State Beavers. James Franklin talks injury updates for Penn State
Coming off the longest season in Penn State history meant some injury situations lingered a little farther into the offseason than the program is accustomed to seeing. With training camp open in Happy Valley with big expectations placed on the program going into the 2025 season, Penn State head coach James Franklin says the health situations will start getting better in time for the season, with some exceptions. "[Some] of these guys are limited up there," Franklin said when meeting with the media on Saturday in Beaver Stadium. "They are ready to go and I think if you asked them, they could play in a game right now. But our trainers and doctors, you know, smart, we hold them in the limited category until they actually go out and do it." Franklin explained players were to be reevaluated following the first practice of the camp, and that could lead to some quick upgrades with player availability. Franklin did not show concern for a lengthy list of players showing up as limited at the moment. Among the players coming back from injury and standing out is offensive lineman Anthony Donkoh, who started 10 games for the Nittany Lions last season before being sidelined by an injury. Donkoh could be an option at multiple offensive line positions now that he is healthy and Nolan Rucci has proven himself at the right tackle position. That has given the entire offensive line a boost with depth in its favor with a healthy Donkoh in the mix. Of course, the injury updates were not all positive for Penn State this weekend. It has been reported that wide receiver and special teams returner Kaden Saunders will be out for an extended period of time with what has been reported as a long-term injury. Saunders was limited due to injury last season and could potentially be out for the entire 2025 season already. Paula Martin Sampedro fires Sunday 68 to win low amateur honors at Women's British Open
Stanford's Paula Martin Sampedro put an exclamation point on her week in Wales with a back-nine 30 that included five consecutive birdies. The Spaniard, who played alongside two-time Smyth Salver winner Lydia Ko, closed with a 4-under 68 to zoom up the board and currently holds a share of eighth at 4 under. Her 30 on the inward nine is the lowest of the week by two strokes. "Honestly, even in the front nine the couple the bogeys she made, she got some really nasty lip-outs," said Ko. "At that point if a couple of those dropped it would've been an unbelievable round. Was still an unbelievable round, and it was fun to play alongside her today." Martin Sampedro wraps up the coveted Smyth Salver for low amateur honors as Carla Bernat struggled with a 78 on Sunday to finish at 9 over for the championship, while Jeneath Wong shot 82 to finish at 17 over. Martin Sampedro becomes the fourth Spanish player to win the award, joining Marta Figueras-Dotti (1982), Elisa Serramia (2003) and Luna Sobron (2015). Her coach and caddie for the week, Alejandro Larrazabal, won the British Amateur at Royal Porthcawl in 2002. "My first three, four holes were really rough," said Martin Sampedro. "There was no way I was getting two on 1, it's a par 4. Then the first four holes, with perfect conditions are already so hard, so I knew it was going to be a tough beginning. "And then just managed to keep calm and just hole a couple putts, and then I started to see the lines better ... it was definitely a good birdie stretch on the back nine." The list of recent Smyth Salver winners is packed with stars. The award, given to the low amateur at the AIG Women's British Open, has served as a strong indicator of future success, with names like Danielle Kang, Georgia Hall, Leona Maguire, Jeeno Thitikul, Ko, and most recently, Lottie Woad, receiving the honor. It's been a massive summer for Martin Sampedro, who won both the British Women's Amateur and European Ladies' Amateur Championship in Germany. The British Amateur victory exempts her into next year's championship. Martin Sampedro currently ranks third in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
