How to watch Texas vs. Houston Christian in NCAA Regional: Time, TV, starting pitcher
The centerfield wall is fixed. It's baseball time in Austin! The Texas Longhorns start the NCAA Baseball Tournament today at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns will face the Houston Christian Huskies.
The Longhorns come into the game as the No. 2 seed overall after a very successful season. Texas was the No. 1 team in the nation for several weeks throughout the season and were the regular season SEC champions.
But the Longhorns aren't exactly entering the postseason on a roll. The Horns were 4-7 down the stretch, including a one-and-done appearance in the SEC Tournament after losing to Tennessee 7-5 in 12 innings.
Texas should be very well rested. The Longhorns have only played once in two full weeks.
Starting Pitchers
Texas has announced lefty Ethan Walker will start against Houston Christian to begin NCAA Tournament play on Friday. Walker is 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA.
The top-seeded Longhorns will face 6-foot-5 senior Parker Edwards. The Houston native spent the majority of his collegiate career as a catcher before making the move to the mound this season. He has a 3.93 ERA on the season in 84⅔ innings of work.

Cowboys star Dak Prescott announces birth of second child with endearing social media post: 'Thank you God!'

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos announced the birth of their second child on social media Saturday. The NFL star shared an endearing post on Instagram to announce the birth of their second daughter, Aurora Rayne, who was born May 22. "Thank You God! Welcome, Aurora Rayne! May 22, 2025. God is Great," the caption of his post said. "I love you @sarahjane and the Family we've created." Ramos responded to his post saying, "I love you and our sweet girls more than anything!" She posted her own carousel of photos to Instagram, adding she is "so beyond grateful and in love" with their family of four. The couple first became parents when they welcomed their daughter Margaret Jane Rose in February 2024. Later that year, in October, Prescott got down on one knee when the two were golfing together. They have remained relatively private about their personal life but were first linked together in September 2023. Prescott became the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL last season when the Cowboys signed him a four-year, $240 million contract extension. He missed the final nine games last season with a torn hamstring. He finished the season throwing for 1,978 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Texas defeats 4-time defending champ Oklahoma in Women's CWS; Sooners still alive

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Kayden Henry and Joley Mitchell hit solo home runs to help Texas defeat four-time defending national champion Oklahoma 4-2 in the Women's College World Series on Saturday. Texas (53-11) advanced to the semifinals on Monday and needs just one win to reach the championship series for the third time in four years. Advertisement Oklahoma (51-8) remains alive in the double-elimination format. The Sooners will play Oregon in an elimination game on Sunday. Oklahoma had defeated Texas in the championship series two of the past three years and had won six straight games against the Longhorns overall. Two of Texas pitcher Teagan Kavan's five losses this season were against the Sooners. On Saturday, she allowed just one earned run, scattered seven hits and struck out eight in seven innings to earn the win. Oklahoma pitcher Sam Landry took the loss. She gave up three earned runs and eight hits in six innings. Ella Parker and Gabby Garcia each had two hits for the Sooners. Advertisement Henry's solo shot down the right field line gave Texas a 3-2 lead in the fifth. Oklahoma got a runner to third with two outs in the sixth but did not score. Mitchell's solo blast to left center put the Longhorns up 4-2 in the bottom of the inning. Oklahoma tried to extend the game and had runners on first and second with one out, but Kavan struck out Garcia and Hannah Coor swinging to end the game. ___ AP college sports:

Auburn names Sam Dutton starter versus Stetson

Auburn names Sam Dutton starter versus Stetson Auburn will go to Sam Dutton on Saturday night versus Stetson After defeating Central Connecticut State, the Auburn Tigers are looking to pick up another win in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Cam Tilley took the mound in game one and struggled early. He did not make it through two innings before being replaced by Carson Myers. Auburn hopes to have a better outing by its starting pitcher versus the Stetson Hatters. After the win on Friday evening, it was announced that Sam Dutton would get the start on Saturday night. Dutton has been the Tigers' best pitcher for most of the season. He started 14 games this season and posted a 6-3 record. He led the Tigers with 89 strikeouts and was named to the All-SEC Second Team. His last start was on May 16th against Ole Miss, where he struggled. He gave up seven runs in three innings pitched. The Tigers lost the game 15-11. Auburn fans should expect a much better performance at home Saturday night. Dutton does have experience in the tournament setting from his time at LSU. The Stetson Hatters will have a team of confident batters after their 11-2 win over NC State on Friday. The Hatters jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the first inning. Third baseman Isaiah Barkett had the best game on the team. He had three hits and scored two runs with four RBIs. The team overall had 13 hits and three doubles. They were helped with nine walks as well. If the Tigers can continue their strong hitting from Friday night and Dutton pitches like he is accustomed, Auburn should have a successful night.
