DJ Fisher's wife Chloe opens up about their challenging fertility journey - and why discussing it can be 'triggering'

Daily Mail26-04-2025
DJ Fisher's wife Chloe has opened up about the extremely challenging fertility journey the couple went through before welcoming their daughter Bobbi Maree last year.
Chloe, 32, revealed she had several miscarriages before her successful pregnancy and said she can find it 'triggering' to discuss her pregnancy journey with fans.
'It's often quite tough conversations with my fans who come up and want to speak to me,' Chloe told Stellar magazine.
'Quite often I will be in nightclubs. It's actually really challenging for me because when I was going through my [four] back-to-back miscarriages and fertility issues.'
Chloe added she appreciated fans wanting to share their own fertility stories with her but said the experience could bring up some painful memories.
'People see me out in public and are like, "Oh my God, I'm going through this", and they give you their whole story,' she said.
'At times it can be extremely triggering. Before I had Bobbi and when I didn't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
'I hate saying this, but trauma dumping... It's hard because you want to support them [but] you are trying to protect yourself.'
She added her own story, in which she successfully gave birth to a healthy daughter after years of trying, could be used to inspire others going through the same thing.
'If anything, my story can give people hope because in those trenches you do not see the light at the end of the tunnel. I didn't,' Chloe said.
'If I'm giving anything back to people, hopefully I can just be a little bit of hope to keep going.'
In August, DJ Fisher and Chloe shared the traumatic details of her 15-hour labour after giving birth to their first child.
The couple welcomed their daughter Bobbi Maree on June 20, and later opened up about her difficult birth which saw Chloe spend the night in the ICU.
The model was in labour for more than 15 hours and was forced to spend her first night as a mother alone in the ICU without her family and friends.
Chloe was induced to give birth at 29 weeks pregnant because the baby 'was big' and has now described it as the 'scariest' moment of her life.
'That was pretty sad and emotional and so frightening,' she told listeners of her DarlingShine! podcast.
'It left me physically weak and completely shaken. The trauma of that and leaving Paul [Fisher] very much lingers.'
After the assisted birth, Chloe told how she was left feeling 'spacey' and ended up back in the hospital theatre after holding her daughter for no longer than an hour.
'It was a massive reminder of the fragility of life,' she said.
'You can go from the most incredible moment of your life to the scariest moment in the blink of an eye.'
The couple had been trying to conceive for almost five years with multiple rounds of IVF and Chloe suffering multiple miscarriages in that time.

Chloe Lewis shares the £19 portable fan that's 'saving her life' right now

Former TOWIE star Chloe Lewis raved about a portable handheld fan that's been 'saving her life' during her holiday, and it's now on sale down from £30 to £19 With the heatwave promising to stick around for at least another week and plenty of us still with holidays on the horizon, a handheld fan is an absolute staple in all of our bags right now. If you've still yet to get your hands on one (and how have you survived this long without it?) then Chloe Lewis has the perfect recommendation for you. The former The Only Way is Essex star shared that her WHATOOK Handheld Fan has been 'saving my life right now' whilst on her own sunny holiday. Sharing a snap of herself on the beach with the fan propped up on her legs, Chloe also shared a link to the fan for her followers to get one for themselves. Available to buy through Amazon, the WHATOOK Handheld Fan is usually priced at £29.99, but it's now on sale for £19.49, saving you more than £10. It's also been pegged as Amazon's Choice, with more than 300 sold in the last month. The fan comes in four different colours, with Chloe opting for the white version. However it's also available in black, pale pink and mint green, with all colourways reduced to £19.49 apart from the black version, which is now £18.47. Chloe's WHATOOK Handheld Fan has a flat base that allows you to stand it on a table for hands free use, and is small and portable enough that you can easily throw it in your bag or pocket to use on the go. It has five different speeds depending on how powerful you need your cooling to be, with a maximum speed that's said to be three times stronger than ordinary handheld fans. The LED display also shows what speed it's at as well as how much battery life is left, so you're never caught out without it. It's fully charged in two hours, with a full charge giving you 10 hours of cooling time, and you can plug the USB charger into anything from laptops and USB sockets to portable power banks and car chargers. If you want a sleek, bladeless design that's childsafe, this Symple Stuff 360° Bladeless Handheld Fan is £15.99 at Wayfair and has three power levels and a portable stand for using on the go. For a totally hands free option, the Boots Wearable Neck Fan is also £15.99, with Boots Advantage Card holders able to get an additional 10% off. Meanwhile at Amazon, the WHATOOK Handheld Fan has gotten rave reviews from shoppers, with one saying: 'What a brilliant find! I've only had cheap rubbish little fans before, but this one is SUPERB and great value for money. The charge holds really well, it feels and looks top quality and is very quiet, as promised. Light enough to throw in your handbag and excellent cooling efficiency. So pleased! Thoroughly recommend this.' Another agreed: 'THIS IS THE BEST FAN EVER!!!!! Small and slick design with unbelievable power and I'm not exaggerating. Slightly loud in public places but who cares when it's blasting cool air in hot conditions. definitely recommended.' The noise was an issue for some users, with one writing: 'Decent fan, but too noisy for the office etc. makes a high pitched noise and every time I turn it on someone asks what the weird noise is. But like I said it's powerful and compact.' Someone else chimed in: 'Powerful but very noisy. Not possible to use in e.g. a cinema or restaurant or train or anywhere where you'll bother other people as it sounds like a hairdryer!' However others were less bothered, writing: 'Excellent fan with lots of power and very long battery life. It's easy to use and it's reasonably quiet depending on which setting you use. The size is perfect and it's light enough to use for long periods of time. I would definitely recommend it.'

Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia reveals the brutal way he found out he had lost his job after a decade on the show: 'I didn't even get a direct call'

Jonathan LaPaglia shocked fans in June when he confirmed he had been axed from Australian Survivor. The TV personality, who has hosted the Channel Ten series for nearly a decade, was met with a rally of support after he revealed he would be fronting the show for the last time in the Australia V The World series, which will hit screens later this year. Now, the 55-year-old has detailed the brutal way he found out he had lost his job. 'The speculation online was that I received an email. But no, it was a call to my manager in Australia,' he told this week's Stellar. 'I didn't get a direct call, which, I'll be honest with you, was disappointing. 'After 10 years of helming their flagship show, it would have been nice to get a direct call from the people at the top, but I didn't.' Earlier this month, it was revealed that production was already underway for the 2026 season, with David Genat taking over as the show's new host. David was recently spotted arriving overseas to begin filming the new season, but insiders have confirmed 'behind the scenes' dust is far from settling. Jonathan had helmed the hit reality franchise for nearly ten years before being unceremoniously axed. And insiders say the show's shocking new theme, 'Revenge and Redemption,' is a thinly veiled swipe at his unexpected exit. 'Jonathan is gutted,' a friend of the ousted host told Daily Mail Australia. 'This theme feels personal. Everyone in the Survivor community can see it for what it is.' Producers replaced the charismatic TV host with David, a former contestant whose unexpected promotion has sparked backlash among fans and confusion on set. 'It's a cost-cutting move, plain and simple,' a source close to production revealed. 'But replacing a seasoned host with a player who's barely earned his stripes? It's baffling.' The series, which promises to spotlight castaways who've been 'burned, betrayed or blindsided', is filled with drama both on and off the screens, according to insiders. 'Jonathan is furious,' one producer confessed. 'He's been calling past players privately. Not just to say goodbye but to vent. He was blindsided and he's not hiding it.'
