Ahmed 'Kouka' Hassan joins Saudi side Al-Ettifaq - Talents Abroad

Egyptian towering striker Ahmed "Kouka" Hassan has joined Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ettifaq on a free transfer, the club announced on Thursday. Although the deal's details were not disclosed, reports suggested that the 32-year-old forward signed a one-year contract. The move could potentially mark the end of his long European journey, following a brief stint with French Ligue 1 side Le Havre, where he made 16 appearances, scoring three goals and registering one assist. Kouka began his European career in 2011, joining Rio Ave's U-19 team from Egyptian giants Ahly, where he broke into the senior squad in 2012. In the summer of 2015, he left Rio Ave to sign for Portuguese side SC Braga. He then embarked on a temporary spell with Greek side Olympiacos, which became permanent in the 2020 season. The nomadic striker moved to Turkey in 2021 on loan to Konyaspor, before playing for Alanyaspor in 2022. He then joined Pendikspor on a free transfer in September 2023. In February 2024, Kouka returned to Alanyaspor after becoming a free agent. His stay was short-lived, as he rejoined Rio Ave in August 2024 on a one-year deal. However, he made another switch in January 2025, signing for Le Havre in a Bosman deal until the end of the season. Al-Ettifaq finished seventh in the 2024/25 Saudi Pro League season. Wirtz said I would 'enjoy' Bayern move: Diaz - World

Luis Diaz said former Liverpool teammate Florian Wirtz told him he would "enjoy" a move to Bayern Munich as the Colombian was unveiled by the Bundesliga champions on Thursday. The German giants reportedly paid a fee which could rise to 75 million euros ($86.5 million) for the 28-year-old, whose deal runs until 2029. Heavily linked with a move to Bayern, Wirtz left Bayer Leverkusen and signed with the Reds in June. Diaz only had a few weeks with the German international at Liverpool but revealed Wirtz's advice encouraged him to move to the Bundesliga. "I spoke to Florian a few times and he told me that the Bundesliga is very intense, similar to the Premier League, that it was very physical, the stadiums are always full," Diaz said Thursday. "He said that I'd enjoy it. He wished me luck. I thank him for that". Diaz arrives as the third most expensive signing in Bayern's history, but said he was unconcerned about the pressure the price tag would bring. "I can't say if I'm worth 70 million. I just want to settle in here as quickly as possible. That's the most important thing," he said. The only two bigger transfer fees paid by Bayern were 95 million euros for England captain Harry Kane in 2023 and 80 million for French international Lucas Hernandez in 2019. Diaz won the Premier League, FA Cup and two League Cups during his three-and-a-half years at Anfield. The winger made 50 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool last season, scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists as Arne Slot's team clinched the English league title for a record-equalling 20th time. Nottingham sign Swiss forward Ndoye from Bologna - World

The 24-year-old forward has joined on a five-year deal. Forest did not say what the fee was for Ndoye, who helped his team to the Coppa Italia title last season by scoring the winning goal in the final. 'Dan is an exciting new addition to our squad and a player we have tracked extensively over a long period of time,' said Forest chief football officer Ross Wilson. Forest has also signed Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha this offseason. Ndoye has won 22 caps and played at last year's European Championship. 'It is a really exciting time at Forest and I knew straight away that I wanted to be a part of the project. It's a really ambitious team with a fantastic history and I can't wait to get started," he said.
