It's been another sunny week across Gloucestershire, but some homes in Matson got an accidental soaking after a water main burst.
They've been celebrating the long-awaited reopening of a road in Nailsworth and planting thousands of trees in Stroud.
Plus we have the usual stunning sunsets and floral displays to keep us entertained.
Water bursts: This photo shows the scale of the water burst in Matson this week. This white house was damaged throughout Wednesday whilst thousands of gallons of water covered it. And there was also a second water burst on Thursday in a different area of Gloucester. It never rains - but it pours.
Just pretend: University of Gloucestershire students were involved in a simulated clash between demonstrators and counter-protesters this week which has challenged the skills of students working under pressure.
Peaceful settings: This orange sky was gorgeous as the sun set in Dursley this week. This stunning image was taken by weather watcher AndrewB.
Stately: The Badminton Horse trials came to an end on Sunday, closing off days of equestrian challenges in the sunshine in front of tens of thousands of spectators.
Community celebrations: There were cheers in Nailsworth this week to mark George Street being accessible once again - after it was unexpectedly closed for four weeks due to a gas main line being hit.
Tree-mendous: The team at Stroud Valleys Project have been looking back with pride at their work, which has seen nearly 20,000 trees planted in the area over the past five months.
Funky flowers: Thanks to weather watcher Beaky for taking this picture of these gorgeous pink flowers in the sunshine in Woodmancote.

Warming trend begins, extreme heat by Sunday in El Paso region — Your 9-Day Forecast

How many people were awakened by t-showers late last night or early this morning and immediately ran to the patio to see it??? Me!!! I was one! Oh, how wonderful to get some much needed rainfall. Officially, the airport recorded 0.02 inches, making the total for the year 0.52 inches. Normal this time of year is 1.65 inches, so we are way behind. Unfortunately, El Paso is in an Extreme Drought, which is the most severe classification for draught. The last year that we exceeded our normal rainfall for the year was 2021. Here's your 9-Day Forecast for Tuesday: Your full forecast is below, but please enjoy a few Weather Watcher pics of the rain first. TONIGHT: The skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with a few isolated area showers that will taper offer during the evening. The skies will be partly cloudy to fair overnight. Expect moderate winds out of the west at 10-35 mph. The winds will slowly die down through the night, and the low will drop to 70. FORECAST: Tuesday will be partly cloudy with warmer breezes and a high of 93. The west-SW winds will range from 10-20 mph. We could see a few showers/t-storms east of El Paso County and over the Sacramento Mountains, but El Paso should stay dry. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and a high of 99. Thursday will be sunny and hot with a high of 99. High pressure settles in for the weekend and will take temperatures into the extreme range. Friday will be sunny and 102. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and 104. Sunday will bring extreme heat with a high of 105. Monday will also bring extreme heat with a high of 106. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Bridge repair works brought forward

The repair of a bridge damaged during a storm in 2024 has been brought forward by nearly two months. Newerne Street Bridge in Lydney was initially due to be repaired from 28 July to 15 August after it was damaged during Storm Bert in November 2024. A high volume of rain from upstream caused the River Lyd to burst its banks, causing structural damage to the bridge. Further damage was caused when a car crashed into it nine days later. Now, Gloucestershire County Council has announced the bridge will be repaired from 3 to 20 June after securing written permission from the Environment Agency to carry out the work, which will happen under temporary two-way traffic light control. Following the storm and vehicle damage, the bridge was fully closed from 24 November until January, when it reopened under temporary traffic lights. A spokesperson for the county council said: "We would like to thank the local community for their ongoing patience throughout this repair." Follow BBC Gloucestershire on Facebook, X and Instagram.
